We've had enough: Take the Michael Jackson pledge...in support of his legacy

Re: Take the Michael Jackson pledge...in support of his legacy

Signed and sent to all of my friends. =)

So you might want to consider a major newspaper such as Los Angeles Times or New York Times. I also think that if done properly and if it gains support of major MJ fan sites this can be picked up and mentioned by some media (well such as TMZ and such) for free.

Anyway keep us updated will you.

I actually had that idea too, but when I looked it up, it appears that NY and LA Times are actually more expensive! (It's hard to get a good estimate. I think we'll just have to speak to them directly.) But yes, we should search out any and all of our possibilities - let's leave no stone unturned!

The main thing right now, *first*, is to reach as many fans as we can, we have to be united in this and let the family know that this is coming from the fanbase, not just a group of fans. The Jacksons know it's a packaged deal...We're their fans because we're Michael's fans (and although we may have grown to love some based on their own merit...do Michael wrong and we'll be gone in a second.) They depend on us and they know that... So let's make sure they know that we are serious about this. We will be supporting Michael's wishes and Michael's wishes only.

Re: Take the Michael Jackson pledge...in support of his legacy

I'm deffinately in!! =) I'm so happy all the fans are taking a stand for Michael JUST MICHAEL and his 3 ANGELS!! This "Jackson/Media" circus has gone long enough, they need to get a good wake up call... the 15min of fame under Michael's light will soon shut down for them! We LOVE MICHAEL and SUPPORT HIM AND HIS CHILDREN... I will no longer tolerate the Jacksons profit of Michael's passing knor the destruction of his legacy... enough is enough!

Re: Take the Michael Jackson pledge...in support of his legacy

I totally agree! And it not surprising at all. It all starts with greedy, power hungry, jerk of a human being Joe Jackson! Michael knew this that's why he distanced himself from all of them years before his passing. They need to know we are no fans of the Jackson Family, ONLY of MICHAEL JACKSON AND HIS THREE KIDS!!

I haven't posted on MJJC in quite sometime but let me just say that when MJ Fans are unified for a cause, nothing and no one can stop them. I am very, very proud of you all/MJJC and I support it the pledge 100%. I've linked it at MJJForum and will have one of our team members place the links on the MJJF Twitter page.

Keep up the excellent work!

Memefan, the letter and the pledge are fantastic!! :clapping:Thank you for doing this. I was happy to sign and I will spread the word.
I hope the world sees how loved Michael is:wub:

Maybe we could send something to the opinion/editorial sections of major newspapers? I know ads cost a LOT in NY Times, etc.... but still thinking and pondering. Fans have been creative in many ways in the past, such as aerial banners over court house, etc.

Anyone here with media contacts?

MJ fans...this is only round 1: We just got a retraction from Howard Mann

They ignored us all morning.....Now all of a sudden they are releasing retraction. The video is still on...we want that whole website shut down.

We will keep the pressure on the Jackson Vault:

This track was NOT released by Mrs. Jackson, this is a dance remake created from unreleased masters in the JacksonSecretVault.com archives. We sincerely apologize to the fans for any confusion.

signed and i'll spread this to other fans in my country.
Thanks for doing this Memefan. I'm tried of feeling powerless. Glad that we can do something to help.

I love the initiative. The letter is well written, respectful, and crystal clear about what needs to be done. It's amazing what the power of Michael Jackson's fans can do. Thank you for taking the time to organize this.

Memefan God bless for writing this letter, this letter is long overdue.something has to be done. We have been silent for too long, enough is enough. I am so proud of Michael's fans, we sure are army of love! When there is a duty call we all respond with pride. Thank you again.

No need to thank me. We are really a coalition of fans from all over the world from China to the UK to US.....With one common Thread.

He deserves BETTER. His Children deserve BETTER.

^^Yes, we do need to thank you. The letter is good, well written.
I'm proud to be an MJ fan! United we stand for Michael.

Great letter! I signed it! Shared it on my MJ facebook page, on my own facebook page, on my twitter page and My Myspace page! ;)

Thank Memefan. I often disagree with you but on this we are one! I've signed the petition, joined the FB page and reposted on Twitter. Actually, have you set up a Twitter page?I think that would be the quickest way to spread the word between MJ fans.

Signed

MJJSTREET fully supports this

SOMETHING has to be done. Just like back in Santa Maria, the fans were the only only ones to stand up and be counted. Its harsh but at the same tim, they need to see that we dont agree with what they are doing. Just cos they are FAMILY dosnt mean that they understand Michael, how many of us, have problems with our familys , cos they dont understand us being a fan? Sometimes I think that Michael was most mis understood by his family, they were not part of his day to day life, sometimes the fans saw him more than they did. He was the odd one out, shunning media attention, while the Jacksons LOVE the media attention. He wasnt part of the LA celeb scene. the Jacksons are part of the LA celeb scene. Other than the Carolwood house, which he was renting for the rehearsals, he never lived in central LA, prefering rural hidden places, like Neverland, Ireland, Bahrain etc etc. The Jacksons all live in central LA.
