If it were up to you to choose a final resting place for the King Of Pop MJ where would you want to lay him to rest??

For me it would be in a beautiful flower bed away from all the press an haters with one of his HIStory statues but not in Neverland, Like MJ said in the 60 min interview its a house not a home anymore, I feel MJ didn't want to go back to neverland EVER, But what about you ??

i would say neverland because even thogh it was soile to michael after the raids and it was tainte somewhat, it was his cration..the place he had the most joy , the place he built to get away and be a kid...it was michael an was his soul and energy..watching jermaine and larry talk there made me think it was the right place...it should be in a place where maybe noone can easily get to it...but it should be in the tranquil , innocent loving setting of neverland...it defined michael in so many ways

I wouldnt want him to go to Neverland personally I think that is going against Michaels wishes never to be returned.
Id like to think a place like where Princess Di was buried - somewhere only his family and close friends would no and could get to.

If they do go ahead with neverland though I hope its on a island in the middle of a lake, where he can be in peace, Michael deserves peace whereever he goes.

I do think neverland is a great place for him to be buried in im just wondering if he would have wanted it, Latoya says he didn't want to be buried there but if he was to be buried there, I would not be angry it was his favourite place in the world for most of his life

Most people as they age start to think about where they will like to be buried e.c.t
I would have thought Michael would have thought about this and made sure he let it be known where. So If he had, I hope they stand by his wishes.

Well, I will be happy with whatever decision the Jackson family makes with regards to where Michael is buried.

I saw the recent video (that someone here posted) of the African Sanwi kingdom where Michael was made a King/Prince and how they'd love to do a traditional ritual for Michael there.
Michael has always talked about Africa being the motherland and that this was where he came from.
I never thought about it until I watched the video, but I reckon it would be a beautiful idea if he went there...although I know it may sound far-fetched.

years ago i would have said neverland but michael left neverland because he felt the police raid had tainted the place so the idea of people burying him there i think would have been horrifying to him. i read somewhere that a relative is buried at forest lawns so maybe there with the other famous celebrities. im not really sure to be honest.

I've always thought it would be a good idea to have MJ buried in his hometown in Gary, Indiana. But that's just me, I'll be happy with whatever decision the Jackson family makes on this issue. I only hope they come up with a decision soon.

At this point I honestly want them to expedite it, unless there is a sound reason for delaying the burial. I also think Neverland is the best place where once lived his happier times.

I honestly don't know where would be best. Forest Lawn seems to ordinary for Michael, Neverland had negative things associated with it near the end but he kept it so it would be nice as long as it was safe there. The thing is if they had it in the gardens of the family property like Diana as someone mentioned the family would then have to put up with people trying to get to his grave whilst they were at home... It is a difficult one. I don't envy the Jackson's trying to reach a decision, I hope they make the right one.

I agree with the majority,

Given we dont have much of a choice, I beleive neverland is the only choice

They need to recreate the place, put everythng of his back the animals etc, create a museum and either open it to the public or open it for days out for under priviledged children just as mike would wish.

But in reality could you imagine hm anywhere else, in fact i would go as far to say he needs to be buried right by his giving tree
because he sought tranquility there and he was more giving than anyone.

I was gonna write that. He really should be buried there... And the moon idea is amazing, it would be fantastic...

I agree if he was going to be buried in Neverland, I would want him to buried by his giving tree he always saw it as a very insperational tree and loved climbing it, I think they should put a HIStory Statue next to the tree if he was to be buried there

some place that he can really rest in peace, may be Forest Lawn or very very far away place that nobody knows except his family.

What about a mausoleum? I am just saying that that is another option. Even though you are not buried under the ground, you are buried above ground. I do not know if that will be best b/c I am thinking about Elvis and how his body almost got stolen after being put in a mausoleum.

On the moon!

Totally agree or fired off into space!

Personally I would say NEVER to Neverland as after the raids etc I think he was done with that place as others have mentioned.

However, graves, memorial services etc are for the living - so wherever his children want him is fine by me!

If the kids want him at Neverland, great! If they want him at Forest Lawn, great! If they want to cremate him and fire his ashes out of a giant cannon like Hunter Thompson, great! Viking funeral, great!

I just wonder if anyone is taking their wishes into consideration?

Neverland, but ONLY on the condition that it is restored back to it's glory days and becomes a haven for disadvantaged children and/or a memorial for fans where entrance fees go to charity. If they restore it back to that place of magic Michael once loved so much it will no longer be synonymous with the ridiculous shit that went down there. I think Michael deserves for his 'house' to go back to being the home it always was. I think he'd be at peace there if that could happen. I couldn't think of a better way to honor him and give him back that respect and dignity that was so viciously stolen from him the day the police and the media decided Neverland should be remembered as a place of ill behavior and criminality. Why should they win!? F*** them!

Neverland.
It's the one place that Michael created, and I can't think of another place good enough to lay him to rest. I think having him there will bring people to remember the beauty of Neverland, and MJ. When I think of that place being sold and ripped apart it just breaks my heart. Michael built that place and I want it to stay his.

Neverland....
but I would have favored cremation. That way things would have been easier, the family could have kept the urn or bury it or have the ashes spread all over neverland or where ever...

But what I've been thinking lately (don't read this if you are sensitive)

What happens to a body inside a golden coffin? if it's buried under ground. Most of the coffin is probably never going to decompose so the body is just there forever. Do they put some sort of preservation (?) stuff in the coffin... is it air tight.

I wouldn't presume to say really, but once the spirit has gone the body is just the physical remains so his spirit will be where he wants to be. I think like many dynasties they could opt for a place where they will all be buried together. Personally I would rather be cremated than rot under the ground.

He never wanted to go back to Neverland in life so I can't see that as his choice, but I do understand the family's wish for his remains to be safe. It does annoy me when people talk of fans disturbing the grave, none of us would dream of showing anything but respect.
