Just an idea I had...
A hardcover photo book dedicated solely to the TWYMMF short film. Hundreds of unseen photo's from on set and perhaps even rehearsals with text consisting of stories of those who worked on the video. There could even be a bonus blu-ray with perhaps a making of feature, outtakes and perhaps even a new alternate edit of the short film. This kind of thing could be done for all of his short films really.
These are the kinds of releases that a collectors label could give us. Something like that would probably never be put out in mass quantities for the general public, but it is perfect for the hardcore fan base and exactly the kind of thing we would lap up.
And that's just one idea.

^^Good point. It's probably too soon alright, I guess Elvis had left the building for many years before they set up that collectors label, but the guy who's running that is doing an amazing job. The Elvis material seems to be truly monumental, six complete concerts, fly-on-the-wall outtakes, two dvds and 80 page color book. I loved Xscape and Bad25 even more so, although that was more aimed at us fans rather than the casual music buying public, it would be great if they eventually set up a separate label for hardcore fans and got an MJ expert to travel around the world and unearth everything possible and release really concise quality products for the fans. These collectors releases wouldn't need to be done with the charts in mind, but with keeping his work alive and giving us a bloody good hobby. The new Elvis boxset is $150, but I'd happily pay that for a similar MJ boxset provided it had a wealth of material. Surely there's as many MJ fans with as much passion and interest than there is Elvis fans. It would be awesome.

Oh my, I would love to work for this collectors label. Doing everything involved with creating the books, gathering photos, lyrics, history/story, writing it... Right up my 'librarian girl' alley. (I've always hoped Karen Langford would want an assistant.)
Okay, done daydreaming now.
Things are so quiet in the fan community these days. There is nothing to keep us active. There is nothing to get excited about. A lot of people are drifting away from the forums including me because it's usually pretty depressing. The fan community needs something like a collectors label.
i really dont think 6 complete concerts is good elvis performed over 100 concerts. Also it took 55 years to see footage of any of his shows in the 50's. ernst jorgensen (the one in charge of the label) is doing a very good job to the best of his ability with how much of a hardcore fan he is of elvis himself though but it's sort of a given the mans been dead 35 years.
Collectors label would be awesome. They could release a lot of jumbotron concerts from Bad Tour and Dangerous Tour.
