WTF? Book about Michael's death published BEFORE he died!

I know! People are desperate to prove he's alive. Like Elvis. These were mortal humans. They die!

Someone else has posted a rebuttal video to it showing the guy in that big family shot in the front row.

That was me hee hee :)

wow what an update!
"Him: Well, the date on the Amazon page was incorrect until recently."
looool that's the lamest thing i've ever heard. It was incorrect until recently. AHA.
Wow Rawr you must be still shaking ....
How about the reviewers ??? Who posted on 26th jun? How about the one who asked how the book could be published 1 day before? It's right there on Amazon. Jesus

I found it odd that he brought up Amazon despite me never mentioning it in my email or in speech.

I'm gonna go eat then call Amazon Kindle and see if I can get a log of how many times the book has been updated (if at all). My request will probably get sent off to Marketing again, though. *shrugs*

I'd really like all of this to get done with before school starts next Monday.

OMFG. THIRD TIME I'VE TRIED WRITING THIS DAMN MESSAGE. *twitch*

Kindle rep told me...

1. Marketing did receive my message.
2. Most likely, I won't get info from marketing because of legalities, but I'll at least get a "Sorry, no can do" message.
3. It is impossible to review a book before it is published. At the most, a publisher could review the book (which may be why the first review is 5 stars), but regular users cannot.
4. Amazon cannot provide me with copies of recordings of calls. :(

Sent off a form for Lulu. Hoping to get some answers there.

I'm just looking at Amazon now. I thought mmm I wonder if the original date was maybe July but they input it wrong and the review dates matched the oriiginal wrong date (if that makes sense)

Anyway I've looked at the comments people made about the reviews others left and look!

Wow, yeah, must be a super-quick read since this only happened YESTERDAY and the coroner hasn't even finished his autopsy.

K. Lightfoot says:
Red Adept she is reviewing this disgusting book based on the fact that someone has been dead for less then one week and there is already a book discussing his death and the mystery of it. No one knows yet what fully happend. That alone is enough to make me question this book. Get a clue !

I'm late to this convo but has anyone emailed the reviewer from June 26th? Just A Dreamer?

Also, he could have been a fan who was able to determine this "book" would be crap and gave it a thumbs down without having read it. I know some fans who were upset about the T25 campaign went on Amazon and other sites trashing it and giving it terrible reivews BEFORE the actual release date....as a form of protest. Quite sickening. But in a case of a salacious sounding book like this, I say YAY to negative reviews...even if you haven't read the book!

Auuugh. What the hell. Why did the Amazon reps tell me it was impossible to review something before it was out, then?!

So much confusion. ;__;

Wait, to who?

I guess at the most we could keep the HTML of the cache. :hmm: Just a simple Ctrl + S as you're looking.

http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jul/01/local/me-jackson-legal1

This article was about the will surfacing on JULY 1ST! the first review about the book was written on the 26th June.

This is extremely confusing! I can see Amazon making an error with the publication date, but not sure how the review date was also a mistake? What are the odds? So, what does this MEAN? The book was impossibly ready to be published BEFORE Michael's death? The review was written shortly thereafter, even before the will was made public? I see NO way the author could have gotten ahold of a copy of Michael's will. I really have no idea what's going on here. . . .

Ideas?

I may have to buy it to see if that will is on there, although I don't have a kindle. And I saw page numerous before July 24th and it was the same as when I saw it.

Amazon had changed the publication date to 24 July instead of June! hahah, Still the first review were writen on 26 June. It could published just a day after his death since it is an online version, people can easily just write stuffs from resources like the papers and tabloids.
The book, Unmasked by Ian Haperin goes into publication 2 days after he passed.

Has anyone reading this bought it? I know it says contains the will, but is it the same will or just some made up article??

I'm still waiting for Amazon to tell me what they've found after looking into it... I would initially say its just a prank but some stuff is very odd.. like if it was a prank why now would the published date be changed to Jul 24th from Jun 24th, if it was a prank they'd leave it how it was...

well maybe this book is a fiction ... sick fiction or, private investigators would like to look into it

well, the only way to find out would be for somebody to purchase the book, and make a comparison between the real will and the one in the book, perhaps?

UPDATE: MJ TII contract leaked - part of it said HE HAD NO HEALTH PROBLEMS - that proves that this book could really have something BIG to do with this.

I just added Omer Bhatti on Facebook. Do you think I should try sending a message to him about this (especially since he's young and therefore probably tech-savvy)? Or would it be a little insensitive?

I'm making this just so that everybody involved understands without having to look through the whole thread again.

Timeline of events:

(All times GMT)

16-08-2009, 01:31 PM Book on Amazon found by 'micah' with incorrect date

16-08-2009, 04:53 PM Amazon review written on 26th June found by 'Angela MJJ'. (proves that 80 page book was published impossibly early)

17-08-2009, 12:58 AM 'myfavouritewintercoat' spots that the publish date on Amazon has been changed from 24th of June to 24th of July. However, the reviews' dates stayed the same (before 24th July).

17-08-2009, 10:04 PM 'Rawr' requests screenshots of reviews and especially the original date.

18-08-2009, 10:58 AM I, 'LukeNo.1MJFan!' uploaded pictures of two important amazon reviews.

18-08-2009, 01:22 PM I, 'LukeNo.1MJFan!' managed to find a very complicated way to get an original using a cache tool and remove the the colours on the highlighted words to get the original amazon page with the original date. I then took a screenshot.

18-08-2009, 02:39 PM 'myfavouritewintercoat' emails amazon asking them to investigate.

18-08-2009, 05:22 PM 'Starlight' writes to first Amazon reviewer.

18-08-2009, 09:16 PM I, 'LukeNo.1MJFan!' discovered a 12 page preview of the book. It mentioned the author's relationship with Uri Geller and MJ's "drug addiction".

Yesterday, 10:53 AM 'Rawr' spotted that the first review was writen on Jun 26, 2009 3:44 PM PDT, which gave the author even LESS time to write 80 pages.

Yesterday, 11:24 AM I, 'LukeNo.1MJFan' posted the author's contact details.

Sorry, i can't remember the rest
