Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.
I don't think saying we do not like a song kills the hype. I pretty much like most other things so far, so it does not kill the hype to me.
I also do not think saying we do not like their remix is "blindly criticizing those producers". I'm talking about something I heard, so there is nothing "blind" about it.
But yeah, I guess they did this for the general public and for modern radio. I'm curious to see whether they will like it more than I do.
Let us however not forget that MJ DID approve the remixes in the past, and he would most certainly approve them today. The only difference with the past is that those remixes are presented to the public differently, nevertheless in a manner that would not kill the hype. So, it would be ironic that the hype gets killed by the fans themselves only because they don't liek the remixes. It's fine not to like them, but instead of being vocal not liking them, give them a chance to be released as hits and let them hit the new public.
We need unity in this, not bickering and blindly criticizing those producers as if they were unaware of what they are doing. After the bad Cascio episode, I don't think they'll ever make a mistake to try to play tricks on us.
