All these posts on the LOVE reminded me a sonnet by William Shakespeare, I don't remember seeing him here before, but if someone already posted I apologize. I always get emotional when I read it!

Lully, I also love "Love Never Felt so Good", she is perfect in the voice of Michael. Thanks for posting the beautiful words of Shakespeare. He also spoke beautifully about love and it was a great poet. :wub:

I'll post a Brazilian poet of the sonnet "Vinicius de Moraes" which is another man in my life that I love so much (after Michael, of course! lol). Michael and Vinicius the two men in my life. :wub: I love everything that Vinicius wrote that he spoke intensely about love in a way so profound and beautiful. It was a great poet, songwriter and musician. I hope you enjoy.

Michael was very much in love before he left, and he's showing that he spent quite a bit of time listening to the words of the one he was in love with. Notice the lines where he's saying, "you said...you say...you tell me...you said to me..." this all shows he was talking to her, listening to her and getting to know her. How else could her feel like he's known her for a thousand years?

In "The Way You Love Me" he also mentioned something that she said to him. There is the line where he says, "You told me you love me."

And about the way that he's using the number 1,000 in "This Is It." He did the same thing in "You Are So Beautiful." In this song he said, "You are so beautiful to me. Your true love showed me the way, the way I had to go. I walked with you a thousand miles through hurtful lies standing strong with you fighting this all through (so through)...."

Quite often in the past, he said no one understood him. In "This Is It," he doesn't seem to feel that way anymore. He said how long it feels like he's been knowing her and how she said she knows him too. Notice that he's not saying anything in the song to make it seem like he doesn't feel it's true.

Everything in "This Is It" reveals he was content with her. And once again he's not saying anything about money, what he'll give her or where he'll take her. He's only pleasantly singing about how he feels.

This is very refreshing. It was a long time coming and it happened just in time. Actually, in "The Way You Love Me" he said she came in time.

Thank God for that. Michael was in love before he left. He's been singing about his love for her since "One More Chance." He's been singing to her since "One More Chance." He was saying, "I can't stop loving you" at the end of it. In "Beautiful Girl" he was saying, "Can't you see that I'm in love with you?" In "This Is It" he said "Feel my song." Can't get any clearer than that.

Michael the balladeer was consistently serenading the one that he had fallen in love with and his words are very clear...very loving...very affectionate.

remember that post being among the many I had to scan quickly due to time and don't remember that point but it reminds me of what Moddie777 and those had been saying about the notes MJ gave to fans, I guess knowing they would make their way around the fan community - the "double message" idea

If what I've posted has already been posted...my bad. :fear: Also wanted to add that "maybe" he specifically asked for it to put on the internet becuz maybe not all of his written messages were shared as he expected. The reason I say this is becuz once those two notes (above) were shared, another fan THEN decided to share a note Michael had written a month prior. Unfortunately, she did not share it as "maybe" he suspected she would. So next time he wrote a note, he had to give specific direction to put it where all the fans could see it. Just my take. I could be wrong tho. eek!

You know, when Michael was a kid singing "ABC," he said "I'm gonna teach you all about love, yeah." Well, he may have been a kid when he first recorded these words, but from looking at the type of man that he became once he grew up, he surrrrrre wasn't kidding.

When he was in love, he had no problem expressing it. The above handwritten message from him with the rose is another sweet reminder and notice that, as in "This Is It," he is talking about what he feels.

It means he was in love with someone he got no contact.of course this is my humble opinion.i for myself wouldnt send a message to someone through ppl to tell my feelings to someone i have contact. huggs to all.

Yes... If he was in love I do not know and it is impossible to be 100% sure about something that is so far from us and so far from our eyes, because no one lived with Michael 24 hours a day to see exactly what happened and took place in private his.
Here are just speculation of what might have happened or how everyone here would like to have happen this love in Michael's life. The reality is very far from us. It is true that if there is true love and these two people truly love nothing could prevent these two people stay together. Under these conditions there is no impediment and if were not together is because there really was not true love. -_-

Well Ash, I have friends and relatives, couples who, one lives in America and the other in Africa or within the Country, one lives on the East Coast, the other on the West. These people do not, NOT have true love just because they are not "together". I know people who have met on the phone when they originally had a wrong number and continued to live worlds apart for whatver reason/s, on an on it goes. All kinds of circumstances when you're dealing with spiritual relationships and we're all spiritual beings just hanging out in these bodies, right? ;) .

This is good and AllforMJ's is too and Ape's and all are, its just - I still hear a few things very differently LOL - I don't guess I'll post after the 'gazelle' incident, LOL which was my first listen in a certain context and I do see that context was incorrect - it is interesting how subjective hearing can be according to what's in someone's frame of reference. Mine is NOW (changed) a combination of all yours plus - but oh well - - I Just can't stop listening to this song. Its gets more beautiful with each listen.

The background vocals and the piano could stand alone ... then there's Michael's unique and amazing voice. These people do not, NOT have true love just because they are not "together". From what you said in your post, it seems to me that one day was a great true love with the distance has become a beautiful and great friendship. Well, love can exist, but when two people are separated by long (for whatever reason), love cools (the fact), it is different and is not the same intensity when you have one near you and by his side. To live a love for distance and live a love with the person next to you and around you are two totally different things, love is not the same intensity. I'm sure Michael could not survive and could not bear to live without a love physical contact with that person. In my opinion, this kind of love at a distance or whatever it is, not what Michael would need and I know he wanted to have that person close to him, even if something would prevent that happening, he would do everything possible to have the person next to him. If it is for him to live a love with the person away from him and so many impediments, I think it would be better to be alone.

"Love" the distance?

"Love" without being with the person around?

"Love" and occasionally (when possible) be with this person?

You could stand to live that kind of "love" at a distance?

^ I guess its different for different people. Peoples' needs and expressions differ. Obviously those couples can love without physical contact. Plenty do it, all the time. You would not be in that type of relationship, but that's not to say what someone else would do. y'know?

You said right... SOMETIMES it can be considered an aphrodisiac in a relationship, create a longing for each other and increase the love between the two, but not ALWAYS or FOREVER. In my opinion and that's how I see the love survive without physical contact. :)

edit: I feel to add the disclaimer that says, who in this thread really knows what Michael needs in that way (except Michael of course). Most in here are just going by the music and we all see that differently.

That to me is the beauty of this thread. At the same time, if what you're saying is true, there's nothing saying he didn't get his physical needs met, with or without "her" in his life and of course, nobody KNOWS that either and whomever, if anyone, met those needs it does not seem to be the subject of his music. Thus, the point of this thread and the points brought out about the songs.
