^Even better, just got word the Bad tour is a part of this deal.

If this is true it will be amazing! But i wont believe till i see it with my own eyes. Somebody got a link? If this is just a minor rumour i will be very disappointed

SC....are you joking????

OMW!!!! OMW!!!!! No way..I refuse to believe this. I refuse.....Do you know how long I have been waiting for this??? since 1991?? No way. I don't want to get my hopes up.

I don't want to believe it...because I don't want to be dissapointed.

Even though it is bittersweet, at the same I am very happy for MJ's kids. MJ was forced into "retirement" from the music industry because of all the negativity & those money hungry people.

Now, his children will get the chance to experience a new MJ release...the good old fashion way. they were too young in 2001...Even if MJ is not here, I know he would have liked this.

GREAT NEWS !!!

I want BAD live as both CD and Blu-Ray !!!

I feel like crying. Michael is still getting us excited long after he is gone. If ALL of this is true i really hope its SOON.

And your source is?

OMG!! He might as well be John Branca himself!! :bugeyed Whatever, he has been giving us this information for a long time now, always right, always true, always in time. Even today: the "formal" statement by midday and here it is at mj.com.:clapping:

I still have so many mixfeelings... but... I can't deny I am excited by the news. It's been almost 10 years waiting for this to happen, hasn't it?

Bad Tour '88 on Blu-Ray - PLEASE !!

And a Victory live album, Bad live album, Dangerous Live album and This Is It Live album would be great !!

Better have Live albums then just new Greatest hits packages!

Thanks for all of the updates. The executors have done good by Michael and his family. Nice work. I look forward to whatever and whenever they choose to release MJ material. Until then I'll just continue to enjoy what we already have. :)

I remember seeing on Michael's official Web site soon after he died that he was the "self proclaimed King of Pop". Does anybody else remember how upset we were to see that that we emailed Sony with complaints? I got the same bad feeling when I heard this news this morning as when I heard Michael had sold half of the catalog to Sony in 1995. I hope the Estate will not end up selling the catalog and I also hope the Estate can make sure Sony does a good job representing Michael's music but it will not surprise me if we end up with more stuff like the This Is It CD.

I am looking in this thread curiously, because I don't understand the jubilation on the MJ boards over the fact that now it is obviously that Sony is the one who benefits most from MJ's death.

What would be an alternative?

I'd love to hear what's available, and any company that produces/distributes his work is going to profit. But IDK if any other company could pay these kind of monies, which will also benefit Michael's children and estate. Why not get the best deal?

Sony and MJ certainly had a falling out, but again, it's business. As previously mentioned, Motown and the Jacksons had some acrimony when they parted company. But fast forward a few years later, MJ appeared on Motown's 25th anniversary (even after some coaxing), and his already stellar career was catapulted into the strastosphere!

Just like Motown benefitted with major ratings, so did Michael benefit. That's how it's going to work with Sony. Both parties will benefit.

Thank you for the reminder. Most fans seem to have a poor memory.

Or some fans are just unecessarily obsessive about Sony. If MJ put it all behind him by working w/ Sony on Thriller 25th, Visionary, OTW 30th....what exactly are you complaining about?

Do you consider yourself better then MJ, himself? Holding a grudge is unhealthy, this is 2010...not 2001. yep, same numbers...but different year.

Did you guys know that MJ and Mottola reconciled after the Invincible fiasco?

this news all = compilation of old songs with 2 new songs :/

Why do some people insist on pissing over everything?

It's been confirmed we'll have a new album entirely made up of unreleased material this year, so why must you be so negative?

How long ago was that "protest?" LOL! This is 2010.

Anyway, I always thought that Michael's problem was with Tommy Mottola and not Sony, per se and that's why Sony eventually gave Tommy the boot.

I'm going to have to go along with alot of other members, what happened years ago had been worked out, certainly in r/t Mottola. Wasn't Michael on the executive board of Sony the last few years, or am I confusing that with something else?

BAD TOUR COMING OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG CRAPPING MY PANTS!!!!!!!!! This is amazing news! :woohoo:

Give us Victory Tour on DVD and Blu-Ray too!

AND PLEASE NOT BAD TOUR '87 from Yokohoma! - WE HAVE THAT ALREADY !!!
