The greatest, biggest pop-cultural figure of all time, arguably bigger than Jesus Christ, is Michael Jackson...
I cant agree more....
Interesting....to me, it seems like he's trying to put himself on that same level as Michael....cuz he says the point is to show that girl his life, and his world.....so, that's what it seems like to me....
The song lyric was referencing 'our n*gga MJ is gone". The parade thing, where Kanye & the Phoenix watched, was him trying to introduce her to the culture of HIS world (music), and the highest visionary IN it, just happened to be this recently deceased musical deity. That the masses loved. So you see the float of MJ juxtaposed against the many followers walking alongside it.
**Thanks SameDifference from KOP
i dont like this man. Kanya is got the ego the size of Russia before it was all split up.

He is talking about cults but I don't see connection between KKK and MJ. Was that disrespectful or not?? Many friends called me yesterday and asked me if I had seen how Kanye dissed MJ in his new video. I always thought that MJ is Kanyes idol...
Michael was trying hard to make a statement both in the Black Or White video (the Black Panthers movement), where he struggles with the enemy, whatever it was, as well as was the case with the HIStory promo clip, with which he was pictured as the leader of the army of love fighting against communism, and he admitted to wanting it to draw attention. That was post-the false molestation charges, that crushed his spirit, but didn't kill him, the statue being representative of his resilient, strong nature in spite of an increasingly hostile world. If anyone else would've survived that, they too would have wanted to make a bold statement. Even if that meant irking one out.
What does Kanye West do? He just really irks and tries too hard and gloriously fails often. After he said he sold his soul, nothing should even matter. He made his statement, cusses 50 percent of his songs, brags about his self. Too bad, for he has potential and could send out some decent messages to the world. If he changed, I'll welcome him. But instead, just feel sorry for people like him, who are wasting themselves. Michael Jackson's visual statements and ego were displayed with a purpose and out of hurt, while West's look just unconvincing and desperate. If he tried less to surpass everyone and appear more different than the rest, he may be taken more seriously. But he's just in line with people like Jay Z or the Rothchilds. One just can't compare Michael's beautiful soul with someone's who lost it and admitted to losing it. But arguments are created just for the sake of being created at times, with superficial, relaxed analogies being used.
I, personally, am no hater of anyone, so the poster saying that is obviously and illustratingly a fan of the person in question here, so whatever is said to counter his words/actions is blown in the wind. It isn't mine or anyone's loss. One should actually possess a character and a nobel soul to be considered a loss. If I passionately react to offensive comparisons involving Jesus, I have the right to and the obligation to.
There have been others speaking against the President's actions or the media's, very emphatically, thus pathetically, and that still doesn't change the fact the person in question, Kanye West, is serving his own dark god. That should put a lid to anything else and it's just so mind-boggling how this doesn't count to others, and the focus goes elsewhere vainly.
Oh, I forgot he needs to be shot for running onto a white girls stage.
