yea, the ending is very strong. Yea i also thought the whistling was unnecessary. They could've instead replaced the whistling with the beat-boxing slowing fading out.

It's really addictive song. But what the heck is the beginning, some kind of a choir? What does it mean? It sounds jewish or something like that.

This song is correct but I don't understand why there is an audio effect on Michael's voice.
Besides, it's a bit short : we can say that the song is finished from the Teddy Riley's part. It was just to make it acceptable concerning the length.

Hollywood has to be the second single from MICHAEL, I think that the song has the potential to hit the number one in the US.

I think of the church choir in the beginning as maybe a sign of this girl's purety...and then she goes 'Hollywood', and taints her reputation and morals...that's how I see it, anyways..

Are you serious? I LOVE that whole part. The whistling over the top of MJ's beatboxing... turns the song from good to great.

That's so weird.... first time I heard the song I fell in love with that ending. I just thought it was so cool.

It reminds me of how Who Is It ends, breaking down with just the beatboxing and the strings....

I'm not overly in love with the spoken word middle eight from Taryll, but overall the song is so strong, it doesn't bother me too much.

Truly excellent song.

Well, i don't despise it, I just don't really like it...But I can understand why people do like it...it's catchy, and very different...Doesn't matter to me though, cuz the song is fantastic no matter what! I agree about Taryll's spoken part, I don't mind it so much, but I do find its a bit too long..but it's a good way to cover up the fact that Mike clearly didn't do a bridge..

It's that bass line and the funky guitar....it gets stuck in your head..I don't care what anyone says, it's a classic MJ bass line and reminds me a lot of Billie Jean..Had Michael been able to finish this song to his own satisfaction, can you imagine how GENIUS this one would be? :wild:

I've been waiting since 1997 for a up-tempo MJ song like this. I would take Hollywood Tonight over any of the Darkchild tracks in a heartbeat.

hahaha...agree with you again...This song is just classic Michael, and SO much fun to dance to...A friend of mine on FB who likes Michael, but not a hardcore fan, heard it on Ellen, I quote..'I heard his new song on Ellen and it just made me so happy!'...I think that a lot of people, fans or non fans would love this song and hear it as classic Michael Jackson....He's known for the classic bass lines, funky sounds, and just overall fun songs to dance too...

I LOVE the fact that they kept the beatboxing throughout the whole song...Shows his skillz off amazingly!

I'm gonna go listen right now too! lol
