Discovery Cancels MJ Autopsy Show

"United we Stand ... Divided we Fall"
Team Michael excellent our UNITY has done it again!!
Same went with us standing together ... to get Michael's name unboarded at the Gardner St. School.
Michael Sweet Angel ... we will eternally support you against any injustice.
We've Had Enough!!!

Oh, great news!!!
I'm so glad that I could help a little by signing the petition.

If this is truly something that was about Michael and protecting his right to privacy and decency, then there shouldn't be time worrying who did the most or what. It should only be about the fact that collectively people worked to uphold respect and dignity for Michael. The estate administrators have done that already in that statement; others should follow suit and keep the focus on Michael not on themselves.

Can't help but think about all the stories that told of Michael's help towards others without ever relishing publicly in the actions; the deed spoke for itself.

What a great news! :punk:

The significance of this program cancellation shall not be underestimated. Hopefully, the media will start to realize that deliberate aims to dehumanize Michael Jackson are not tolerated by the public.

Also, it's wonderful to see decency and morality triumph at the end.

This is right. I want MJ Estate not to be focused on their own image that much. MJ Estate were not interested till it started to grow like a snow ball on FB Twitter and evrywhere. Estate reaction was late. I can get a time line if you want. They had to be the first once who started it, not the fans. It is their job to prevent such shows from Discovery or other media.

You are the only one making it about the Estate. Actually the estate put the focus on Michael and the fans. Again, when someone's heart is in the right place, it doesn't matter who did what first but who acted together to get the job done.

Here is Discovery's official release:
Discovery cancels Michael Jackson autopsy TV show
LOS ANGELES | Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:49pm EST
LOS ANGELES Dec 31 (Reuters) - The Discovery television network on Friday said it canceled plans to air a reenactment of the autopsy on Michael Jackson's body, citing an upcoming court hearing and concern by the late pop star's estate.

The show, "Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson," had been set to air in several countries of western Europe and in the United Kingdom on Jan. 13.

"Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson'sofficial autopsy has been postponed indefinitely."

Fantastic news! Great effort on both parts! Fans did their part outside the media through petitions. And I'm so happy the Estate came in and lent a hand with the letter. I do feel that letter was the feather that took the tree down.

WOOHOO!

This is Great News!!!!
Thanks to everyone for caring so much.

seriously could we celebrate things once without the added drama and negativity? This is about Michael and the show is cancelled. so congrats and thanks to everyone who participated in this effort. This is not the time to have an ego trip and measure anyone's participation amount and time, in the end everyone's effort has helped, in the end this is a victory won for Michael.

Statement from John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson:

The Estate of Michael Jackson is pleased that Discovery Channel made the correct decision in choosing to cancel this exploitative program. We are hopeful that this show will never run in any market in the future. While Discovery cited legal proceedings and our request as the reasons for its decision, none of this would have happened had it not been for the incredible passion displayed by countless Michael Jackson fans worldwide who knew they stood as one and that their voices could not be ignored.

:clapping:

So happy they recognised the efforts of the fan base through all of this.

United we will stand against those who continue to try to malign the memory and works ofMichael Jackson!

I want to give you some statistics which indicates what we as fans did:

In total it was more than 500 letters and more than 10000 signed online petition being FedExed. Discovery bosses will receive a big package it in a few days (tuesday morning).

Well this is what happens when we fight together FOR LOVE, FOR MICHAEL. :)

Unfortunately this is rare.

Everything we do now is to destroy projects and albums with Michael's name.

Anyway, I'm happy for the cancellation of that garbage.

ExoticPrincess said bullshit. She is right. They continue to act as if Michael's Mother, Father, Children and the rest of the family is of no consequence. Aren't worth acknowledging.

Not to take away the joy of the moment nor the success but he program has only been postponed.

I have sent an email to my cable company requiring that they inform Discovery Channel Network that I will not be resuming any viewing of their programs which will include their latest the OWN until they publicly announce that this program is canceled forever. It makes it sound like they are doing this only because of the trial and not because they care of the harm they can do to a family.

If I do not hear back from my provider within 72 hours than I will call them and keep calling and emailing until I do. (an email can be a permanent record)

I am requiring my provider to notify me when my message has been received by Discovery. I am making it official. No silliness from either company. The Media omitted to report of us blocking Discovery so we will have to find a way to make sure next time they do.

I do not want to do this again in 6 month to a year later. In the meantime the air we breath is a little clearer.

Happy New Years.

This really does show 'There's nothing that can't be done when we raise our voices as one!! The TRUTH when spoken will ALWAYS prevail' I am so proud of everyone who participated in this campaign and feel very privileged to be part of such an amazing community of believers. It always has been and will always be all for L.O.V.E.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Let's stick together for all time! "We are forever!"

I believe the Discovery Channels official reasons for canceling the show '"given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate'...", and statement of only an indefinite postponement was largely an opportunity for them to 'save face' so to speak. There was no way they were going to admit to being coerced or foeced to compromise their supposed 'rights to free speech'. I pretty muched expected a statement like this. I am overjoyed none the less. I can only hope all 500 of those heart-felt letters will speak to the moral imperative of their decision and call to a higher sense of decency and humanity. I still have hope for that. I think we all did. Otherwise why would we have even bothered to spend the last two weeks and the last 24 hours non-stop doing what we had to to stop the aiting of this program. I know Michael belived in the inherent goodness of all people. And I know we would all do it again in a heart beat. Twenty minutes of my time is nothing compared to what Michael sacrificed every day, every hour of his life. Round of hugs to everyone!!
