So, Ive been away from MJJC quite a while. Ive been completly staying away from anything Mike related, trying to heal... It was working. I thought I was ready to come back here, get involved in some discussions.

I was totally wrong. After reading through a few posts, seeing pictures... I was dead wrong.

This is just a message to say Hi, and I hope youre all well. Im going to try and come back every now and again...but for me, life is just a hell of a lot easier if I just ignore everything.

What your are witnessing is the death of the Michael Jackson fan community.

I to share your concerns as I see we have dropped 50% member traffic in the last few months, and this is in the middle of album and single releases.

Dianne I am sorry to say but we are now at the beginning of the end.

Note to mods, Please do not move this - this echo's what i said in the staff room a few days ago.
 
I am sure that the community will survive.
With loyal fans. I know it is not nice to discuss old and new fans...but there is a difference.
Number of members is not important. Loyality and true dedication is.

What do you mean by "Michael Jackson fan community"? Are you referring to this website ...or MJ's fans as a community?

FYI, the drop in traffic might be due to social medias...I know a lot of MJ fans are active on Twitter and don't visit message boards.

we WILL get through this Gaz...traffic will pickup again..just watch when the trial starts MJJC will be jam packed again....as far as emotions running high...we all know that is to be expected...the trial is getting closer and the reality of Michael's death is REALLY starting to sink in for alot of us. The trial is going to be VERY difficult as we know but again we will get through it together..:hug:
 
The MJ fan community is not dying, there is over about 50 fan communities of Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson is forever.

The community will not die Gaz, don't be silly.

The original poster is grieving. She expressed it is still difficult to participate in this forum. I feel we are hijacking her thread here.

Gaz, I respect you and all that you do for this place but don't be ridiculous! MJ's fan community is NOT dying! :rolleyes: His legacy will last forever. New fans are made everyday! I just became a fan this year, well after he died.

I hate hearing things like that. I dunno where I would go if not for here. This board is amazing, and it's comforting to talk with other fans :no:

I think this drop in traffic is not in despite of the new album, but maybe because of it. When did it begin to take a nose-dive?
 
Firstly I have not hijacked this thread. If all thhing were rosey and we were doing our best to celebrate Michael then I am pretty sure Dianne would be able to stay.

Instead the hate everywhere is destroying peoples enjoyment thus in time they will get fed up and leave.

Its the circle of life. Only we are making this happen. Or at least speeding it into over drive.

Well ... you can blame the estate as the reason many of us don't bother visiting or posting anymore. Whether you think those songs are him or not, they should never have been included after the uproar. But they were, destroying what was supposed to be the one spot of good news after a terrible few years of being an MJ fan. And they continue to screw up every single thing they release.

It's easier to just avoid the whole thing now than be constantly angered and dissapointed by the way things are being handled.

And this proves my point. There is not one single thread that can not be poisoned with this never ending cascio ish.

And the direction this thread has now gone in is testament to exactlyy why fans no longer want to be here.
 
fans are killing each other here, the whole atmosphere is gone..
Between the members there is something what you could see asa cold war..
discussions are all negativ and if you wanna tell your own opinion about it, then you can receive alot of bad rep..
michael is gone and there is someone to blame for that, but hating on the board isn't the way..that's why folks stay away..
and yes always the same bullshit about the songs on the album..
hope there will be a change.. someday..

I can't speak for THIS IS IT, but I have a feeling the three reasons are the controversy we've had about those tracks that I BELIEVE are truly MJ.

I,myself had to leave for a little while right after the album came out because I couldn't take all the negativity and arguments. It was too frustrating and disheartening to see what was happening. But I came back and so will everyone else and more eventually. Michael fans are forever. :yes:
 
The first few weeks i was here i didnt post. I only sat and read and watched, now i post because i like this fourm.

I see you. I know how it feels to lose somebody you love. You need to know you're not the only one. You can come anytime if you feel ready. You can talk to me about everything if you have the need of it. I just want you to know that Michael love his fans very much, one of them are you. He truly want his fans to be happy, that means he also want you to be happy. You'll get no way of being sad all the time. Try your best to be happy, talk to God, talk to Michael. I do that lot of time.

Come back when you can :better: I took a break for a couple of months too, I'm sure it will get better.

Gaz is right, the fan community is nothing like what it used to be like, since MJ's passing the amount of hate and fighting has increased greatly, now every section of this forum you go on to there will be someone saying something negative, its even worse when we know MJ would most definitely not want this to be happening, we should be uniting at this time, not crumbling.
