Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals *Update @266* Sony wants subpoena for footage quashed

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Chernoff is such a liar.. The 'doctor' did CPR for 25-30 minutes??? what the hell... Murray should've been calling 911 right away and then proceed to do CPR.. Instead he didn't call 911, and he was hiding medications while doing fake CPR. He knew MJ was already dead anyway

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Chernoff in that video I posted starts out saying 25-30min of CPR then by his last interview on the same day (note his clothes) changes it to 5-10min of CPR. O_O Wow... WTF?! LIIIIIIIIIAR!

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

I don't think there was an addiction to Propofol. Most likely a dependence on the drug, as he was taking it to sleep. Even the dependency was not proved, at least it wasn't made public anything in that respect. Don't know anything about the hair tests.

Murray did the CPR in bed and as it was not working, bringing MJ to life, he asked the bodyguard (or whoever the guy was) to call 911, The paramedic then instructed Murray to perform the CPR on the floor. I don't know how much time had passed before 911 was called.

I wonder if the DA's office is aware of these videos Chernoff made and if they can be used in court?

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

So which is it? did he do CPR for 25-30 minutes or 2-3 minutes.. and since Murray realized his patient wasn't breathing why didn't he call 911? he had no rescusitation equipment so he couldn't do anything. His best bet was to get MJ help right away. Hell he could've taken MJ to the ER room by car if he needed..

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Chernoff is such a snake..

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Chernoff and those like him forget that videos now capture what you say and do,and the information can be used against you. Let him and Murray keep changing their stories, since it would be easier to show their guilt to a jury. Any updates on the footage?

I doubt if Chernoff's tapes get in to evidence since he's the lawyer.

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Chernoff never look comfortable when defending Murray! He knows he is lying for him. But, he just doing his "job" right?...PATHETIC! :C

I noticed that.. Even when he was talking about the CPR on the bed he knew he was spewing bull... No doctor with credentials such as Murray's would give anyone CPR on a bed.. Murray didn't even know how to do it

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Why didn't the interviewer just ask Chernoff why Murray didn't just pull Michael to the floor?!! I would have asked and put him on the spot. Is he still Murray's lawyer?

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

You cant wean someone off from propoful becuase you are not addicted to it.
Michael was addicted to sleep _ not propoful. he wanted something to help him sleep PERIOD
Murray pumped MJ full of other meds and then went ahead and administered the propful anyway
on top of them so it was higher than what he had been doing previously_ GREAT way to wean
some one off from something .. load tons of drugs on top of the drug you are trying to wean
them off from ??? Murray didnt know what the F*ck he was doing .. or how to do it ..

I believe Michael wanted propoful to sleep _it worked for him .. that in no way helps Murray
Michael also wanted to wake up .. Murray didnt take proper care of his patient and his actions
caused MJs death ... Period _ I dont care if MJj was taking it for a year - Doesnt matter and
the prosecution already stated .. Murray gave propoful and other meds to MJ he didnt monitor
him and he left the room knowing there could be consequences _ THATS Criminal conduct

I agree. It really bugs me how Murray's camp goes on and on saying he did nothing wrong. If any other doctor with any other patient had done something like that, there would be no excuses. They would be in jail right now. This is ridiculous. All my opinion.

TMZ news: Top Secret MJ Videos Protected by Armed Guards!:
http://www.tmz.com/2011/06/11/micha...ad-murray-manslaughter-trial-sony-subpoenaed/

"The last videos of Michael Jackson were so top secret, they were transported in an unmarked truck, accompanied by armed guards in the dead of the night ... this according to new docs filed in the Conrad Murray manslaughter case.

You ask what Conrad Murray has to do with MJ videos? Well, Dr. Murray wants to see ALL of the rehearsal videos shot for the doomed "This is It" tour. Murray's lawyers believe it could show Michael was in such a frail condition ... there were many reasons for his death other than Propofol.

Murray's lawyers subpoenaed the tapes, but now Sony Pictures -- which has possession of the videos -- is objecting for several reasons. Sony claims there are more than 20 boxes of videos and it would cost $200,000 to log and reproduce all of them.

But in the docs, Sony describes how top secret the videos were to the studio. Sony lawyers say, "When they were transported to the Sony lot in Culver City, the transport in an unmarked truck was accompanied by armed guards in the dead of the night."

When the tapes were in an editing bay, security guards were posted outside the door and no Internet access was allowed in the room.

And a Sony honcho also submitted a declaration which says the videos "have a high monetary value inherent in their potential for future uses. Those uses include one or more 'anniversary editions.'"

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

I agree with you what michael wanted was sleep
not death and this idiot murders him. the rehersals show
how much full of life michael was. he didn't want to die.
murray is not even human for what he did to michael. I find each day hard to live because of what he did.
he must pay even tho nothing will ever be enough:(

Is it today the hearing to decide if Sony must turn over the footage to Murray's lawyers?

Judge delays ruling on access to Jackson footage

Thursday, June 16, 201

A Los Angeles judge has delayed ruling on a request by attorneys for Michael Jackson's doctor for raw footage not used in the star's posthumous concert film, "This is It."

Lawyers for Sony Pictures sought time Thursday to file more arguments on the issue. They say Dr. Conrad Murray's defense team has radically changed the nature of its request. The judge says he too is confused about just what footage the defense wants.

Prosecutors plan to use clips from "This is It" to show Jackson was in good health just before he died. The defense wants to show otherwise. Another hearing was set for June 24.

Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol and other sedatives. Trial is set for September.

Judge delays ruling on access to unused footage from Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ production

By Associated Press, Updated: Thursday, June 16, 8:50 PM
LOS ANGELES — Lawyers for Michael Jackson’s doctor and Sony Pictures aired some of their dispute Thursday over release of unused footage from the star’s posthumous concert film, “This Is It.”

But the judge presiding over the involuntary manslaughter case of Dr. Conrad Murray delayed ruling on the issue, citing confusion about exactly what the defense wants to see.

Lawyers for Sony said the defense request had “changed radically” in recent days, and the entertainment company wanted more time to research the matter and file additional legal briefs.

Sony attorney Gary Bostwick said the subpoena for raw footage has now changed to a request for film from two of Jackson’s personal video cameras.

Defense lawyers said earlier they wanted all raw footage of Jackson’s rehearsals for what was to have been a live concert in London.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said he was sensitive to whether the request is merely a fishing expedition. He said release of any footage would come with restrictions to prevent it from being disseminated on the Internet and elsewhere.

“If Michael Jackson materials are just out there, there could be amazing consequences for Sony and the Jackson estate,” the judge said. “I’m not inclined to order that they just turn them over.”

Bostwick added, “We will continue to be very concerned that anything shown in court leaks out and goes viral.”

But he acknowledged that once the video becomes a trial exhibit, it will be difficult to keep it secret

Prosecutors plan to use clips from the theatrically released, “This Is It” to show jurors in Murray’s trial that Jackson was in good health just before he died.

The defense wants to show otherwise. Those lawyers contend scenes showing Jackson in frail health during rehearsals may have been edited out of the movie.

Lawyers have said there are more than 100 hours of footage from which the movie was culled.

Murray lawyer Ed Chernoff said he learned recently that footage was recorded by Jackson’s personal camera crew operating two cameras.

“If it’s more than those two cameras, yes, we are asking for all the footage,” he said.

Another hearing was set for June 24, just before the second anniversary of Jackson’s death.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol and other sedatives. Trial is set for September.

Re: Murray Wants MJ Rehearsals To Show Warning Signs

Thanks for the update smooth.u would have thought the estate owned mjs own footage unless they sold it on to sony.i dont see the footage been much different and certainly not something that would help murray.

Glad the judge sees this as more fishing but its irrelvent if he lets them sub the footage and then allow any to be entered as evidence.which seems to be the implication from his comments

Judge hints jurors may see raw video of Michael Jackson's last days
By Alan Duke, CNN

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers want Sony to hand over all raw video of Jackson's rehearsals
The judge wants the defense to limit its "remarkably over-broad" request
Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial for Jackson's death starts in September

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Raw video of Michael Jackson's last days is not covered by laws protecting journalists from court subpoenas, making it likely that Sony will have to let lawyers use its video in their defense of Dr. Conrad Murray, a judge said Thursday.
Lawyers for Murray, who faces trial for involuntary manslaughter in the pop star's death, argued that the unseen rehearsal video could show that Jackson was ill and physically weak.

Prosecutors contend that Jackson died from an overdose of a surgical anesthetic that Murray gave him to induce sleep.
Sony Pictures, which bought the video from Jackson's estate, is fighting the subpoena from Murray's lawyers for access to about 100 hours of video that was used to produce the "This Is It" documentary, released several months after the singer's June 25, 2009, death.
The judge has given the prosecution permission to show clips from the movie to jurors during the trial, which is scheduled to start in September, but the defense wants to use video left on the cutting room floor.

Since Sony was under a contractual obligation with the estate to not use anything that showed Jackson in "a negative light," the unused video may be helpful to the defense, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said.

The judge gave Sony a week to work out technical details with the defense for a way they can view the raw video without the risk of it leaking.

Sony's lawyer said the public release of the raw video could hurt the studio's plans to use it in other productions, such as an anniversary edition of the documentary.

"If they become part of the public record as an exhibit, we have a whole different problem," Sony attorney Gary Bostwick said. "That would immediately become viral on TMZ or some other website."

Defense lawyers were ordered to narrow their subpoena request for the video, which Pastor called "remarkably over-broad."

Michael Jackson hired video photographers to record his rehearsals as he prepared for his comeback concerts in London, scheduled for July 2009. His estate later sold the video and documentary rights to Sony for about $80 million.
