BET Honors Special....MJ to be honored!

Well seems like it's very hush hush because I just read a blog on BET about the Honors Awards not even the author could mention much. Here is what they said:

I don’t get starstruck unless it’s Hulk Hogan or something, but Stevie Wonder just walked onstage. Sorry, but I’m not leaving until I get a pic with him.

I just had a brief ditzy moment. I turned around, saw the lyrics to “As” on a teleprompter and thought to myself, “ehhh, it’s not like Stevie needs it.” Duhh! It’s for the back-up singers. You gotta love my job though. At this point, I’m basically getting to see Stevie Wonder perform for free. I’m about to shout requests. “Do ‘Superwoman’ Stevie!” My co-worker, TP, got me covered. “Do ‘All I Do!’”
Ten Minutes Later…
I did get my Stevie pic, but I wasn’t cleared to post it on the blog. You may have to catch it on facebook. That’s it for now. Can’t giveaway much more. But I do know BET has some nice surprises planned. I advise you to tune in on February 22 to catch the 1st Annual BET Honors.
 
Why don't we just wait until something concrete is reported?

I wouldn't be too excited about him performing. I'm still wondering what will happen for the SuperBowl.

That's because the info that Dorothy posted wasn't Michael related, get something Mike related then you'll get a ton of interest in views. Furthermore, we have no proof that this special is the one that involves Mike being honored so the confusion leave posters not likely to view.

Well Im real surprised no news about MJ has surfaced yet but you learn patience when it comes to Mike.

Im also surprised how long after the BETs have been taped til it airs!

the fact is, BET reported the taping of "BET HONORS" - MJ's website reported "BET HONORS" both claimed to be airing in "FEBRUARY"

NEITHER source reported Michael to perform.
NEITHER source reported Michael to attend.

If Mike is there or not, performs or not, whatever may happen, if it doesnt match up with YOUR personal OPINION of what Mike "should do" then get over it and move on. He's being honored. No one claimed any more, so there is NO need to involve Raymone, or complain if she keeps quiet.

The fans make a major habbit of creating rumours, then getting emotional when these rumours dont materialize - and its not fair on Michael or his team!

Not if BET want to keep it under wraps.. or if its non existant. If Michael was not there, she should not have to tell us he wasnt. If he was, she shouldnt have to tell us he was. Its all run by BET. If it were a MJ concert, then yes, she should tell us. Other than that, she shouldnt need to confirm rumours the fans themselves make:) Michael is being honored for Thriller. If BET or Sony wanted us to know more, we would know more.:)
 
I know MJ confirmed the honors but did BET anywhere?
 
Still would have thought there would have been a report on ET or something with interviews on the red carpet at the BETs but nothing and MJ cant go anywhere without being reported which leads me to think he wasnt there but at the same time with Thriller 25 etc you think he would show to promote it.

:yes: exactly! We just have to be patient! We don't need to know EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME!!! And you know how MJ likes surprising us, so don't ruin it, whether he was or wasn't there by asking Ms. Bain all the time! :D
 
well whatever the tribute consists of I'm sure I'll love it.. I cannot wait!!!
 
Yeah I'm thinking it was just a tribute thing with a video montage and a speech from Quincy or some of the other Thriller people (Rod, Bruce etc).

Maybe Mike made a small appearance but I defenitly dont think he performed. Which is a bum.

I do hope I am proved wrong though :) Hint Hint mike!

I'm sure soon we'll find out what's happened , but i am getting the awful feeling Mike wasn't there:(
 
People, we even get to know if Michael goes to shop books for his kids or sexy underwears for his lover (or something :shifty:), don't you think that we should know if he showed up on a big award show? :mello:

Weren't they selling tickets on their site for this thing and there was a link on the site to ticketmaster :lol:

Meh! Oh well... :lol:

*wants to see pix* ... Shame we never get conformation for anything - we're always just left in the dark :(
 
Let's wait and see. Maybe in a few days or the days pushing the airing of the special, a press release will be made and we might know what will be on the show.

MJ does not have to actually be there. All that matters is that MJ is being honoroed for what he has done regarding Thriller.
