I don't understand the type of deal that would expect full payment in one year.
I truly hope that deal is worth it for MJ. Don't forget that MJ mortgaged the place for $28 mil. he surely must have used that money for something. He must havre known he was taking a risk so I hope it was worh it for him. I sure would be sad to see him lose Neverland but on the other hand he doesn't live there anymore and it's not as if he didn't get some money for it. At the end of the day, he will have saved a lot of money by not having to maintain it anymore.

Sneddon has nothing to do with what goes on with Neverland. That is Michael's business and Michael's alone. Stop giving this man all this credit. Just because he prosecuted Michael doesn't mean he has control over Michael's entire life.

Michael will NOT loose Neverland.

if he cares in keeping it he'll pay if he doesnt he wont pay. we dont know whats in his mind right now. we dont know whether hes even interested in the property anymore.
i hope he is tho but if hes not i'll respect his choice

I hope he wont.

Thing is, if he really didnt wanna keep it, then he would have let it go a while ago instead of trying to pay it off like the article says.

Michael doesn't want to loose his ranch. And haven't we seen stuff like reported before......with documentation? And when it all washes out, one Michael Jackson is still the owner of Neverland Ranch.

well he has 3 weeks to do something.. where's the statement from Raymone?

Something is not quite right here. How does a 1 month default becomes headline news all over the world. Mainly one month default would get a reminder and set time to pay but a court papers for missing one month doesn't smell right to be. Something is up. TSCM said that MJ was paid up tp october, yet by Nov we were hearing that Mj was in default, Something isn't right about this at all.

Are fans really entitled to know about this kinda stuff? no. Its MJ's business what he does with his money and where he lives.

Well, if it goes up for auction, you can bet the whole world will be glued to this story for as long as it last. It will be an international auction.

but it's public, so of course the fans will ask.. Besides Raymone issued a statement saying it wasn't in default and that Michael was not going to lose it.;)

And so that statement still stands. Fans dont need a statement for everything. WHen plans are final and stuff then we'll know. If MJ loses the property, then we'll know. If he doesn't.we'll know then too.

I would hope she reissues another statement, because of course the media will quote Friedbrain's article word for word

Let them then. If MJ still has neverland, then they can quote RF all they want. The truth will still stand that he owns neverland.

At this point, WHO CARES what the media has to say.

Anyway, they will have their hand's full watching Hilliary and Obama. LOL!

Man, I bet Ms. Bain is about to be bombarded with e-mails from some of the fans.

Something doesn't smell right in all of this. First we hear that Sneddon was drinking a toast to owning Neverland at christmas. Now this. Why did the bank file default papers when MJ was barely behind with the payment and was at that time refinancing the loan? Up until that time he was in regular payment. Why were they so keen on filing papers so soon? Something doesn't sit right in all of this.^_^

Well... Michael is okay. His kids are okay. They are living the "high" life in Las Vegas.
Neverland is a thing of the past.

Yes, I agree. And the way I look at it, he won't have to pump any more money into that place. It was costing him an arm and a leg to maintain. He can save all of that. He can always buy another home. Someplace else.

does it seem odd to you that the media ripped neverland, (during the trial,)
and now they are ripping Michael cause he might loose it, when they just
about burned it down to begin with, I dont get it, its like if he was paying on it and not in default they would say f-neverland get rid of it, and when he is behind on payments
there like oh my god hes going to loose neveland,

I dont think he can win(media) no matter what he does
so he just needs to do what he wants to do

I honestly think he should go back home. and screw everybody else
i can understand his reasons for leaving his home, but is it just that its
his home, the more he stays away the more sneddo does win

It seems as if Mj has not set foot in Neverland since the trial. None of us will ever know how much the trial affected him and how tramatised he may still be by the memory of that trial and how the people tried to destroy him. If MJ loses Neverland, I might shed a tear or two but I will get over it very quickly cause MJ is still free and he still have his health and mind and his children. He can start afresh in a new place and away from the evil people that are still lurking in the dark to destroy him.

Yes. This is official, not just a Roger Friedman rumor. The official five page notice was legally filed by the County of Santa Barbara County Recorder as of yesterday... The entire issue has been extremely complicated. He did appear in default with Santa Barbara from the middle of October through approximately November 27th, but then his name and the Neverland estate were removed from the list of those in default. Raymone stated in November that he was in the final stages of refinancing and the he wasn't actually in default nor would he be losing Neverland. A $610,000 tax lien on Neverland was cured recently, which at times can be a precursor to a public auction.

I bet that's all it is! The tabloid so that and decided to have a field day!
Michael WILL NOT loose Neverland. Watch.

Absolutely! NL isn't going anywhere!

 I think you might have just answered your own question there.

Thanks for the news.

I hope she does not. Raymone already made a statement about this affair a while back and does not need to make another one. If MJ's haters talk, let them. MJ does not care, heck, I do not care and you should not care either. The media can kiss MJ's rear.

I personally hope that MJ does whatever he can to keep NL but if he can't meet up to the payment and it goes on auction, supposedly, then it is what it is. We have no clue what will happen to the place. One day he might want it and one day he might not have wanted it. MJ can always get another mansion anyplace in the world.

Neverland is a thing of the past

I actually agree with this statement. MJ has not be harassed, that I know of, at Vegas. His children are having a great time with Vegas and their father and MJ seems to be happy. His privacy is not out there: we have no clue where in Vegas Mike lives. He can go shopping and not be harassed. I mean, isn't that what MJ wants? NL is an estate. It is not his children, mother, family, his health. It is a material thing. He can always get another mansion and live in peace.

If Neverland causes so much pain for Michael, then I wouldn't be at all surprised or angry with him if he just let it go. He can always buy a new house somewhere else. Neverland is in his heart anyway.

Forever-Mike, there is an actual court document informing the holder that there will be an auction on 19 March at 1 pm. The think I can't get is why did the bank not willing to refinace? Something just doen't sit well. The place was hardly in default if the last payment was in October. Why was Sneddon bragging at christmas about owning Neverland? Something is not right about this.

I get the feeling that MJ thinks it's time to move on anyways. Conjecture, but I think there's some evidence of that in his actions as well.

I agree with you. They managed to drive Michael out of there with that bogus case. If he was in the final stages of refinance, was it going slower then these people wanted? Or did they not want to drop the thing no matter what payments they got? I don't get this either.
