And like wth is wrong with thinking hes the most important musician when he is our favorite? People at a Prince board would say the same thing about Prince. It's cuz we're FANS.

ANd please, right now all we're trying to do (all MICHAEL is trying to do) is get attention for his music. MJ gets more attention for personal crap than music, so I dunno what u mean by that last sentence.

I see MJ fans give props ALL THE TIME to artists that came before him and artists that arent MJ but also good...visit "Music Makes the World Go Round" section for example! But this is a MJ fan board and obviously MICHAEL JACKSON trumps all other artists here, I dont see why thats so hard to grasp lol

But Michael IS larger thanlife, he really is. He is the celebrities celebrity. Watch how they gush over him. MJ has had presidents and prime ministers coming to visit him at work and at play. He had none other than Jaqiline Kennedy ghost writing his autobio. Big name stars and sheiks want to meet him Yes, Not even Elvis prestley got so much attention, Yes, MJ IS larger than life. Who else is larger than MJ?

Dise that mean that I cant be a fan if I don´t call him the king of pop??....what if I think he use to make good music, but i dont like the new stuff....am I not a fan than?
 
well thats ur opinion. Doesn't mean everyone else has to be the same as u and NOT call him the kop :rolleyes:

Why hang around if he doesn't make the music you like anymore? What would be the reason for hanging around?^_^
 
Yeah, but at least those guys are smart enough to know they're NOT the King and never accept it.
 
Just love to see what he is up to!....and I still love mj as a human! and the way his mind work.
Is just alle the crazyness around him i dont like!

Anyways whats the difference between the music he does now to the stuff he makes in old days. I understand having a preference over a style that he's adapted or left behind, but MJ has kept the same basic formula for years when it comes to music...so to eliminate EVERYTHING he's done recently is kinda....i dunno. WHY?

What's wrong with thinkin your favourite artist is the greatest? After all he IS your favourite artist.
That's what message boards are for - to share your views with people that have similar interests. At least that's what I thought they're for.
Now after all the carp Michael's been through, why can't we simply enjoy his comeback?Before the verdict there were like 981757446787 people on here sayin that they wouldn't mind if Michael stopped makin music & stuff.
Now I see the same members ranting in every thread possible that things are happenin to slow. And when they're really bored they start discussions like this one. :yawn:

well...you cant force me to love his new stuff:p..I like everthing up to dangerus exept from Bad that I think are a bit weaker than the others (off the wall, thriller, dangerus)

I think MJ is an OK songwriter not a grate one!
I think mj is an amazing performer and maby the best dancer ever!
I think he is a amazing singer!
I think he is an ok producer. but have som really week songs somthimes
i think he is an amazing humanbeing and really scenetiv
and at the end I whish he was more an artist than a bussniss man more idalistic.
 
wow i dont think u can get more idealistic than Michael when it comes to music, but to each his own. MJ is idealistic and a visionary with EVERYTHING in his life i think lol

and ok so just because in ur opinion MJs made weaker albums than some of his OWN albums...that he doesnt deserve the title he's given? There's NO ARTIST who's been PERFECT artistically ALL of their life. And you feel Bad is weak in YOUR opinion, but it IS the 2nd biggest album of all time :lol: It HAS made an impact in pop music. And so has all his other albums to some degree.

I'm not forcing u to like anything, but u cant force fans to agree with u either in not thinking hes the KOP when they think he is.

BTW, Mjs WEAKEST album in anyone's standards is BETTER than most albums in general lol...its only week in comparison to other MJ albums.

And i definitely disagree with him as a songwriter. The man who made Billie Jean, Beat It, WBSS, Smooth Criminal, some of his MOST FAMOUS SONGS ever...can't be just an 'ok' song writer. He knows melody, i'm sure wannabestartinsomethin will vouch for me with the particulars and logistics of why this is true lol

For me he´s truly the best and I respect him so much. He´s the King of Rock, Pop and Soul. He is so unique. I mean as soon as you hear the name MICHAEL JACKSON you feel the magic!!! I also love his personality, he has done so much for the world, he has such big and pure heart. And that´s why he deserves to be loved and respected, I am so glad that us fans appreciate everything he does. He´s truly a blessing for us and I thank God that he sent us an angel from above :)
 
The King of Pop is his title. Heck, I think he should be called the King of Entertainment because can no one perform like that man. LOL. Everytime Mike starts to dance - damn! LOL. Anyway, MJ earned the title and he deserves to be called KING.

What are those "not so great records"?! Mostly he makes like 99% greater records than anyone else so that's why he is King Of Pop. I will call him like that forever.

well..lol...let me trump this with my opinion..:p

the thing that makes him King, the most is that fans who say they have lost interest in his latest music are on fanboards right now. it's more impressive when MJ draws THESE kind of fans, even moreso than that he draws the die hard ones who love his latest stuff as well. i see more fans like NationtoNation for MJ than for any other artist. it kinda makes u feel that the whole general public are MJ fans, whether they say so or not...or..at least, the general public is greatly outnumbered. and even the 'general public' is interested...even if they get negative-in-mouth-itis and call MJ a 'trainwreck'. (not talking about u, nationtonation, with that last sentence)
 
I think Michael is a legend, a pioneer, a genius, etc. I think the reason why he's called the king is because like Little Richard and James Brown, he transcended his genre and inspired two generations of performers. When you're listed as an influence by almost all musical genres from hip-hop to alternative rock to pop-punk to R&B, you should be called the king of something. Plus Michael's been working non stop for 40 years to earn such a title.

started it is NOW his title - Just as James Brown was Godfather of soul
no one tried to say he wast or say he shouldnt have that title - So why

His fans proclaim him as King of PoP _ he is NOT self proclaimed
the musical industry refers to him and proclaims him as KOP ...

The reason Michael still wears the crown today is because it still fits. There are many artists out there today (profesionals in the same business) who totally agree with this. The humble ones would decline the title knowing that they would neither have the talent or the inovation to hold such a title, then there are those who's heads are so big that the crown would just never fit.
There are just so many reasons why he will never lose the title, 'Inovator' and 'Pure Genius' being just two of them.

I don't understand why people won't accept others who go beyond what the normal expectations are in society. Is it so wrong that Michael wanted to handle his own affairs instead of leaving it in the hands of producers or sponsors? Because Michael was a good businessman, is that so bad? People turned against Michael because they were not getting all the glory. Michael was too perfect for the music industry. He won the grammys and he bought the rights to his songs and the Beatles songs. He was, and I think still is, in total control of what he wants. He's the King of Pop, Rock, and Soul, remember? I think it's astounding that a man can accomplish this much before turning 50 years old.

He hasn't released anything lately to show he's still worthy of the title. I'm sorry! He's living in the past and needs to release something new. That's the harsh reality :)
