Hello again all
Hope your day is going well.
Ok, news today, hmm seems some was posted already so I'll skip to the mentionings:
Sierra Leone: Moba Mobs Obba
...What's in the name, you may ask, of a school, a person or anything at all? So much, if you believe my father, who, when I was growing up in the 1980s and pop stars were popping up all over, would dissuade me from being called Michael Jackson or anything along those lines.
I did get called one of the Jackson 5 anyway, apparently because people believed I was a terrific dancer, and Michael remains my best musician of all time...http://allafrica.com/stories/200803250861.html
The Lopez Brothers. The pair is establishing itself as the greatest set of twins in sports. Ever since Tiki Barber's retirement, the sporting world has been looking for its next set of brothers to pass the torch to, and the Lopez's are it. And did you know that their heroes are Walt Disney and Michael Jackson? What's not to love? http://media.www.tuftsdaily.com/med...usters.Flusters.And.Lacklusters-3281872.shtml
The End of London’s Superclubs?...One of London’s largest and best-known nightclubs, Turnmills, which has a capacity of 1,100, will close its doors for good this weekend with a final Easter blowout. It has enjoyed 23 years of hard clubbing in the lower floors of a converted gin distillery in east London – from the smiley-faced acid house craze of the late 1980s to the “nu-rave” revival of the past few years. In 1990, it became the first venue in the UK to be granted a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year music and dance licence. But having survived ever-shifting musical tastes, the rise of London gun crime and a birthday party for Michael Jackson, Turnmills has fallen victim to a more deadly foe: a decade of soaring property prices...http://www.psfk.com/2008/03/the-end-of-london’s-superclubs.html
