Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

I am glad to know that truth that MJ will not perform in Sunday's Grammys.

However, MJ is MJ and things CAN change. I am just saying. :)

BTW, I like this thread. No one bashed one another and I was laughing at some of the comments. :)

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Perez says Michael will NOT attend the show at all.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Really cant wait till Monday when all this speculation/rumours are over and done with!!

Well, if Perez Hilton says it it must be true. Lock the thread.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Rehear. for BJ????

Michael Jackson Won't Perform at Grammy Awards

Sorry, Jackson fans. The King of Pop won't be making a special appearance at the Grammys.

"Extra" has learned that reports of a special performance Sunday night are false. The show's Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich has put an end to speculation, dismissing rumors that he's taking the stage.

[ExtraTV]

he's not coming at all?? I just wanted to see him :(

*sigh* I knew he probably wasnt gonna perform cause of some article saying it was late notice for him, and he wold prob wait for his new material.

but i didnt know he WASNT COMING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(

oh well..........hey, if he doesnt want to go then he aint goin!

guess we'll know EVERYTHING for sure on Sunday night!!! whooo!!!!

LOL whes!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Re: Surprise Performer At The Grammys!

I think it will be will.i.am, Kanye West, Akon and Fergie who will be performing the tribute to Michael.... or I could be wrong. We'll see .....

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Extra didn't say that he WON'T be there it claims that he WON'T perform there is a difference....we'll wait and see!

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

It was blogger Perez Hilton who says that MJ is not coming at all.

But I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, either.

Remember the NYDN was first to report that MJ and the producers of the Grammys agreed to having the T-25 tribute, but that he would not perform, but would come on stage.

So we have to wait to see what occurs....

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Didn't we know this already though? That Michael is going to send a video message, but isn't going to actually attend? Can't blame him. The Grammys suck booty and the performers are always horrible.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

I think he should come to watch this tribute like he did in WMA's. This tribute is much bigger. I think the suprise performer is Madonna.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Remember MJ cancelled Xfactor because of a leak.. Maybe the Grammy's board will do anything to have MJ perform? even deny.

Some peeps are saying it's gonna be Whitney. Others are reporting that Alicia Keys is going to do a 'duet' with Frank Sinatra.

Now, I love Frank, but this is getting a bit riduculous....

I read over a month ago that Alicia was going to Duet with Whitney

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Btw Michael never opens any show so it can't be Michael.. But what if Michael suprised the surprise performer, that would be cool..

So, when did Perez Hilton began reliable? So, just because Perez said that MJ is not attending the award show, it is the truth? Wow. That is something.

I do not believe it. I say, let's wait and see.

As for the video tribute, I do not believe that rumor as well. Let me also say that bashing an credible award show is low. The grammys might have its issues, but the bashing is uncalled for. Just saying.

I just read from another board (have NO idea if it's true), that Whitney didn't want to perform with another artist, so hell, I dunno?:p

That's right, that's right..... LOL

MJ CLOSES THE PLACE DOWNNNN. He opens the show and then everybody would go home afterwards! What would be the point??? LOL:lol::lol::lol:

The rumor about the "video acceptance speech" seems the least credible of them all. It was started by a random fan who claims that on some other unnamed forum another fan said that his uncle had some involvement . It sounds completely made up to me, and the fact that the poster has failed to provide even a link to the original so-called forum post furthers my belief that it was most likely a fan-created rumor, started for the sake of creating more drama...

The only factual information that anyone has at this point is that: 1.) GRAMMYs have confirmed that an "All-Star Thriller Tribute" will take place. 2.) Executive GRAMMYs Producer Ken Ehrlich has stated that Michael will not be taking the stage nor performing at the event.

Everything else is speculation, and will presumably remain as such until the event in two days.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Thank you, TSCM. Even Perez Hilton's "info" regarding this is considered speculation.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

These award ceremonies must start making tickets that says

"If, and only if Michael Jackson - The King Of Pop and absolutely the best performer in the world - doesn't drag his ass to this ceremony the price of this ticket will be returned"

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

Alright, I just watched part if the TV show Extra. Carlos Diaz, Extra reporter, asked one of the producers of the Grammys (I think his name was Ken), "Is Michael Jackson performing on the Grammys?"? The producer said, "No, he is not."

Now, Carlos did not asked if MJ is going to be on the show, he simply asked if MJ is going to perform. So, basically, it looks like it is a possibility that MJ *might* be at the award show. Just wanted to share.

From Tvguide.com

In addition to Daughtry, the Grammys will also be missing another titan of music: Michael Jackson. Despite the rumors, exec producer Ken Ehrlich told Extra that Jackson will not be performing, no matter how many renditions of "Thriller" fans at karaoke bars nationwide may be doing in protest. — Mickey O'Connor

Who else feels that especially with fox's supposed about face re; MJ that there's a conspiracy here. "We are pullling for him", I mean.. come on!

I believe that based on MJ's experience's both with California & the disrespect he's received from the Grammy committees that he could have very well decided to give them the 'high hat', with another 'self imposed exile' move designed to reverse the snub In regard to fux, the rest of the media, the prejudice or double standards he's endured as a businessman/artist in the American music industry and country as a whole. I consider fux's leaks to be veiled threats made to MJ & wouldn't doubt he felt the same. Keep in mind that fox is owned by murdoch, who is the propoganda specialist for the republican party, (bush's buddy).

I mean think, do you think the Elvis estate, (interestingly enough recently named a national landmark by bush just after they drove MJ from his home ), BlacK American music owner, 'Mr. Maca' Paul MCartney or Sony (who apparently has a month to decide to make an offer), really wants to see MJ honored. They know if he shows, this time timberflake will have to acknowledge where he got his 'ideas about music' & his moves! Yes they'll have to deal with the tributes to MJ by other musicians based on his musical accomplishments, but also their expressions of support to him regarding the obvious political persecution & purely 'traditional' brand of american racism he has endured.

For the record, Dick Clark always considered his American Music Awards to be the alternative to the Grammys' well-whitewashed acknowledgement of music.

Re: MJ @ Grammys....Will He or Won't He, Part II Extra says NO

What does RAYMONE say about that?
