The Chef, Kai Chase's about the day Michael Died (Merged) (All discussion here, please)

That's a good question. I wonder if this is when that other chef, Doug Jones, came on the scene. I've been trying to find an article stating when he worked for Michael and can't find anything. All they say is that it was shortly before MJ died...so I'm thinking it had to be in that 3-week gap...but who knows? Maybe someone else will have better luck confirming this.
Doug Jones? Who's that? Never heard of him...

They were milky white, you're right they could have been anything but in hindsight, I'm thinking the stains might have been the Diprivan.

That's why I was wondering if she prepared his meals according to Nurse Lee's diet or not. Other than her (Nurse Lee) account, she was never mentioned by anyone saying MJ went to her office or she went to MJ's house.

Maybe it wasn't a salary issue, they just made that up to let her go. He goes downhill after she leaves. :(

Nurse Lee went to MJ's house. This was a 2-day interview and it's long so I've cropped the parts that answer your question. The whole thing is really interesting and informative tho and worth the read. I will put the whole thing in the Investigative Unit section for reference. There's another interview where she says she stayed for dinner sometimes and sometimes, even if Michael didn't eat or wasn't hungry, he made sure to sit at the table with his kids during dinner time. I'll hunt that one down tomorrow unless someone else posts it first.

PART 2 - July 7, 2009

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: What have we learned about Michael Jackson's relationship with his children? Kind of father was he? Michael Jackson's nurse, Cherilyn Lee, spoke about their relationship.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
CHERILYN LEE, REGISTERED NURSE: I was really surprised when I arrived there (INAUDIBLE) to see his children. So I'm thinking, OK, I'm going to see his children, and they probably have a nanny there or something. But then he came downstairs. And I'm, like, Wow, he's actually here. So I was really shocked to see him because I'd only seen him on television.
VAN SUSTEREN: What did he look like when you saw him?
LEE: When I saw him, he looked great. He looked healthy. He was very casual, and you know, just comfortable, and the most humble human being I've ever met. And he just said -- he was so gracious and said, Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming out. Thank you for taking the time to come see my children.
VAN SUSTEREN: What did you think about the inside of the house? What...
LEE: Oh, it was absolutely gorgeous. It was just gorgeous. But it was a home that you walk in and you know this is a home of love. You know, you can walk into a home that could be beautiful, but you don't feel the love there. There was just a warm sense of love that was in that home, that permeated that home. It just was wonderful.

.........

VAN SUSTEREN: What did you think of the three children? How were they with him?
LEE: Wonderful. Wonderful.
VAN SUSTEREN: How would you describe the different personalities?
LEE: The oldest child is very, very -- they're very intelligent, very intelligent, very knowledgeable children. He worked with them, even with their history. They were home schooled, but he -- they even knew black history, very good with black history. He would ask them questions back and forth.
The oldest child was -- loved computers and was very involved with a lot of different things. But he was just -- he did a lot of things with his dad, too (INAUDIBLE) set up the DVD for him and different things. I mean, he was loving. I mean, he would come and ask for dinner, want to have dinner like he was a chef and read off the menu, memorize it and said, Do you want to have this? And I said, Oh, no, no, no. You guys go ahead and I'll just wait until you're finished. But just his personality -- outgoing. Outgoing.

Mello1, This is Doug Jones.

Thank you! I appreciate you looking for this. :) I was a little iffy on her.

Kai left at the end of May. She hadn't seen MJ in 3 weeks between then and June 2nd she says. resonant!

Not 3 weeks between the end of May and June 2 ... I need to go back and read her blog. I liked the sense she gave of a happy household and Michael's commitment to taking care of himself and eating well ... I also felt a bit uneasy about her sharing the gifts from the children; the box was so sweet, and I swear that those kids sound less spoiled and more well mannered than ... um, my kids. Thank you notes! Daddy loves the apricots! There is something innocent in the ability to appreciate little things ... heart-breaking to hear her talk about the kids' plans to bring certain videos to watch en route to London. On top of everything else, what an adventure that would have been for them as a family ...

Phentermine is a weightloss drug confiscated at Murray's Houston clinic along with a muscle relaxant. If those drugs aren't part of this investigation then why take the drugs from his clinic? I don't believe Michael would knowingly take a weightloss drug, he stated he loses weight when touring, not gains. Makes no sense...this situation seems very shady with Murray giving him juice drinks from Ms Chase...Michael couldn't come and get it himself at anytime in the mornings? How much control did this doctor have in the last weeks?. Not to mention the Diprivan to sleep, which is so outrageous I can't wrap my mind around it.

I shouldn't have watch this.. I can't stop crying now..
The first part of the interview is so devastating to watch.

He killed him.. he killed my angel..:cry::cry:

Why God? just tell me why?
Everything was fine.. everyone was happy until this "Doctor" came to the house.

He is the son of Satan! I hate him! I hate him!

God, please bring him back.. please.. I can't take this anymore.. too much pain.

OK, so I just watched the Today show (not without tears), and I must say, even though I may not entirely approve of her bringing along the personal notes from Paris, she seems like a very sweet and genuine person. She described a professional relationship between him and Michael, she didn't try to pass herself off as his best friend or someone with great insight into his soul, yet still expressed a lot of respect and admiration for him. That makes it very easy to believe her.

just watched the vid with kai. she is very sweet, wow, I understand why the children loved her!

I am so GLAd Prince didn't went upstairs.

Thanks for posting the Today Show interview. I mean I know everyone has their own agenda and we don't know what hers is, but it certainly is nice to hear someone say great things about Michael as opposed to all of the so called "friends" and the media pulling out every single negative thing they can drag out of their asses. Plus she's really purty and I like the gravelly-ness in her voice.

Hell I can't wait for her cookbook, that salad dressing she made on the today show, looked good..

At least her and MJ talked about her creating a cook, unlike these other mofos just releasing false info about MJ.. I like how she only talked about things she knew about, she didn't start speculating about why MJ did this or that.. She has my respect..

And there it is. I was hoping somebody else was thinking what I was thinking. You can add that to the list of possibilities. This is just a theory, but that man could have been lacing Mike's drink/food with anything. He's a doctor so he'd have access to all kinds of meds.
Or maybe he was as lousy a nutritionist as he was at everything else? If he directed Chase at making the fruit smoothies, maybe he wanted to direct the whole menu of her replacement?

Jackson's Personal Chef Opens Up

Posted by ExtraTV Staff on July 31, 2009 2:30 PM

She cooked for Michael Jackson and his children and watched the panic on his fateful final day. Now Jackson's personal chef Kai Chase tells 'Extra" she's shocked to learn her name was on a police search warrant.
Chase's name was listed as one of the many aliases used to obtain drugs for the King of Pop. She reveals, "I felt used." Chase adds, "I come to do a job, do the best job that I can do, and I hear this."
Kai gives "Extra" a unique perspective into the Jackson household and shares what Michael's three children are really like, describing Michael's eldest son Prince Michael as a "film buff." She says Paris was a "daddy's girl" who enjoys sewing. Blanket is described as a "cutie" and an artist.

Chase also tells "Extra" Michael Jackson was thin because he had a dancer's body. She says he enjoyed apricots and whole fruit, but most of all, he loved fried chicken.

Ms.Chase was just on Access Hollywood and she talk about how she was walking past MJ and she caught him looking at her butt.. Oh that damn MJ being manish, I luv it!!!

If I was her I would've asked him does he still have those GOLD PANTS and if so, can he go put them on so I can look at his boootayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!! lol

Saw it!!! He tried to sneak a peek on the sly but she caught him. Haha! Too darn cute! Maybe this is why he sometimes complained about not feeling good and skipped rehearsals. He had a more tantalizing reason for staying home? :shifty: :p

Ok@Wendy.. I would've come to work in some "Get It Girls" (those are really tight pants, the kind you have to grease yourself up inorder to put them on) and some come F%$# me shoes everyday (with some Dr. Scholls inserted in them lol).. I would've dropped a towel or something right infront of MJ everyday and slowly bent over to get it... But that's only when the kids weren't around. lol, can't be corrupting the kids...

You are welcome@ParisKatherine

You are too much!

Awww I miss fun discussions like this. It almost feels blasphemous to joke about him like this now. :(

she is putting a normal face on michael jackson. she is humanizing him and showing how 'normal' the kids are.

even donnie and marie, ugh, said now it's tim efor the kids just to be kids...um that's what they were doing w/ their father. so many have this twisted idea that mj locked them up and denied them things.

they were kept hidden so that they could go out anonymously and enjoy things w/o people knowing they were jacksons

LOL cute! You know, she's likable and pretty, and the kids like her. I bet Michael did, too. It would have been cute if they'd gotten together.

LOL she caught Michael lustin.

 I agree!!! It seems like he may have been!

Re: Dr Murray screamed: Go get Prince! (chef)

I believe this Story for the reason you stated the Doctor was thinking fast "Prince Age

makes his a Credible Witness" and the Doctor knew Michael had been Murdered and he

wanted to know "Where Are The Children are They Safe" it was his way of getting them

next to him while not leaving Michael, he knew if Prince was ALRIGHT, Paris and Prince II

was too.

Exactly

Kai seems like a nice and honest lady to me. Let's hope that her next employer will be as nice to her as the previous one.
