The Estate of Michael Jackson enters partnership with Sony Mobile

People need to stop guessing the days when there will be an announcement for the new album. You're only setting yourselves up for disappointment. The announcement will come when it will come
 
If we don't get an announcement of some sort within the next week I'm gonna..... Keep waiting :(

but I will be THAT much more annoyed!

Agree it would be a bummer if no album. :(

I am hoping this is a promotional campaign to get a lot of worldwide interest stirred up before the album is released. Let it be, please!!! :)

The info Bluesky posted above is not new. The same thing was stated by Xperia the day the Add came out.

The 6 Xperia short films are already up on their youtube channel. They each explained details about different features of the phone. They were released the same time as the Introduction using STTR. The reply is stating that the introduction was the first of the series of 6 letting them know there are more adds explain the phone...Then they say .. state tune for more to come .. In the coming weeks _ so we can expect more in the coming weeks .. and we do expect more. :) but remember they are discussing the phone, not Michael , so we don't know what that more will be.

Richard didn't reply to the part of your question about the short fim adds ( Richard isn't Involved in that campaign, nor does he have any info about that.) He just said "There will be new stuff this year" Which we already know . There isn't much to discuss at this time .. until they bring out phase 2

Be careful not to place your own expectations of what that will be or when and then disapoint yourself because your hopes are not met. ( You promised no more tantrums ) :) It's a waiting game now. We just have to be patient and let it evolve in its own time.. not ours. I;m sure they have it all laid out, how it's going to "magically" unfold.

 
I LOVE David Bowie's Sound and Vision for Sony Xperia Z ...Remix of a Bowie song was used around the time of his latest album release &#8220;The Next Day&#8221;&#8230;
and now I'm glad to hear Michael.

David started his comeback with it, so it's enough for me to say IT IS PERFECT WAY TO START WITH !!!

Estate has already responded. They are not going to hold MJs album hostage for a $600 phone.

But why do fans make up stories, pass it on, convince others the stories are true, and then go and ask/blame the estate about the same stories that they themselves make up? This is a recurring theme that is so annoying. Where is the press release from the estate that states an album is coming out in April or spring? Of course there is none.

I think it's more so when fans are conversing trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together other fans may not read the full convo and just pick a date and think it's fact instead of seeing they were seeing "I'd guess April because......"

I've been guilty of it myself, it's just the nature of boards, messages, and not in person convos

I see that they area already selling accessories for the phone on amazon (pre order), the accessories release on March 25th.. They generally release accessories 1-3 weeks prior to release if not on the date of.. So maybe that gives us an idea of the first half of April!

The handset is expected to be released in the country through various wireless carriers and retailers, including Clove, which claims to have all the necessary details on the phone&#8217;s pricing available for users.

According the company's website, the new Sony flagship smartphone will land in the UK at £540 ($900 / &#8364;646), and will be available SIM-free and unlocked.

No cross promotion.

Unfortunately, for me, this current promotion has been very one-sided. Maybe in the future Michael will become more prominent however, I hope it will not be too late.
 
I hope there will be some great TV adds with MJ's new music in it!

If MJ has to benefit from this partnership the album needs to be released or at least a single around the same time the mobile is released - And the commercials to the phone needs to use the new single - or songs from the album.

But the STTR commercial is already forgotten and will not help promote the new album - or even STTR single if it is released!
