yes, uuuu guessed it! more NEW ALBUM HYPE!

So we all know that MJ likes to reinvent himself whenever he releases an album. Either he has a certain THEME going with his album and videos, or he has a new look, or a new style of dress...
For instance, he seems to change up his hairstyles when ever he drops something new :p

So how do u think this new album's 'look' is gonna be like?

Maybe MJ will go for the thug/pimp look?

Maybe MJ will cut his hair? Bring back the curls? Rock and extra extra long and straight hair do and go grunge on us? Will he keep rocking the suits? Bring back the red shirts and black slacks?

Eyeliner or no eyeliner? LOL

Is the theme for the album gonna be more edgy? Futuristic? Laid-back/chill?

How do u see it going?

Oh i know Michael Bush. I'm not necessarily talking just about designers and stuff. But just maybe the overall 'feel' of an album. U know how MJ, with Bad, came back with a more edgy look and feel, buckles and 'tough' themes. Dangerous was more hip/hop slick and "cool", MJ grew his hair long, laid back attire. History, more dark personal theme, he went more military than usual as far as fashion. Invincible, another cut of the hair, more futuristic...etc.

Thats kinda what i mean.

I have a feeling his look is not going to change much and certainly not be radical or extreme. Lately he's been pretty minimalist while at the same time classy, sophisticated, and chic. I love it. But he's also been wearing too much black. I'd like to see COLOR.

All I want is for him to loose the sunnies and let us see his eyes, I'm not fond of the weave/wig either...I want to see those sideburns.
If he went curly hair again I think I would DIE...

I think he might go chic and sexy this time, both the Ebony and specially the Vogue photoshoots were very chic and it kinda gives a new vibe.

Hmm? Ok, I can go either way short or long hair but if it is long I would like to see it pulled away from his face (need sideburns )lol
I don't see the curls comming back because it is, well the jeri curl is out of style, maybe soft curls like dangerous era.

No eyeliner but eyeshadow, minimal, neutral makeup..mmmm:wub:

Outfits kinda like Jesse's B-day silver suit he wore but a little more tricked out and in different metallics like copper, mica, gold, metallic red (gotta have red):)

Slammin' futuristic boots with great texture and detail, I think the loafers are gonna be retired, at least offstage.

The theme I see is grown and sexy but its Michael Jackson!

Fabulously fitted shirts and slacks, suit jackets perhaps bringing back the fedora...:punk:

Overall I think MJ is gonna be low key with it (as low key as MJ can get) but just taking it back to the roots. I believe that is what is going to shock people.

Whatever he does I can't wait it will be awesome :punk:

Well regardless...MJ has obviously been applying less of it lately. There have been times where its EXTRA heavy and extra light.

Excellent thread topic. :D

Well, you know whatever look he goes for, it will be HOT! :woohoo:

Will.i.am said it would be a feel good album. Maybe it will be chock full of positive, upbeat tunes. :praying In which case, it would be logical for his accoutrement to be on the fun side; maybe a bit of colour, a fairly spunky do, maybe something flashy!

I do like it when he looks smooth though. Maybe nice, classy, fitted garments with a bit of flash and colour. Yes, that's what I'd like to see. :)

I can't imagine MJ ever doing a grunge look. lol Just don't think that would ever be his style, musically or otherwise.

Maybe MJ will go for the thug/pimp look?
... *remembers that one tabloid article that talked about his 'macho thug-like makeover'*

. Then there were the concepts Roberto Cavalli came up with for costumes etc. for the next tour...

I actually REALLY LIKE Cavalli's concepts. Granted, MJ won't go all the way COMPLETELY grunge/emo...LOL....but i do like that dark look on him. And Cavalli's stuff looks really majestic, dramatic (MJ's tastes lol) but at the same time slick as hell. And ya'll know me, i think the vampire look is sexy and Cavalli is definitely pushing that vamp look lol.

I really like the Cavalli stuff, if there's one high end designer who could match MJ's taste it's him.

however, MJ looking thuggish...nooooooooooot so much.

The pimp look is better on MJ ;) (A la, Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame pimp suit and cane  )

Well I'm mainly talking about just the slit 'image' change that he always makes when he creates an album. He's not really changing WHO HE IS...he's just switching things up a bit. Changing his look here and there, growing out his hair, shortening his hair, getting a mustache, wearing numerous buckles....the "air" around the album, like Bad, for example, has an aggressive/tough feel.....Dangerous is more urban/cool vibe...ya know?

All this other stuff about MJ getting cornrolls and ish is joking lol

Well, yeah, the cape would definitely be dramatic... bah, why not. He's the only one who could actually pull it off. lol

He could probably invent some fantastic dance moves using it, too!

He'd better be ready for Batman jokes though. lol

lol that pic of MJ as a thug was hilarious

I think his next album will be mostly an expression of his making peace with himself and the trial, and will also contain some happy and inspirational songs. Going with that theme, I don't think he will go for anything too edgy. Whatever he comes up with as concert uniform will probably be really cool, just like all his outfits in the past have been. Hopefully it will be more colorful than his most recent outfits.

good thread idea =]
I think he's done the military, gangster and astronaut themes too much, but I reckon he should bring back his thriller-style Sgt. Pepper look or maybe a Victorian gentleman look =]
