TMZ Video: MJ Music Video Shoot Takes Over Hollywood

I don't understand the negativity honestly.

Sure Michael isn't here anymore and we cannot have his vision in these videos - It's sad but it's also the harsh reality.

We get videos from directors that knew / loved / respected Michael. We see dancers and fans in those videos that says "look Michael's influence on us and our love towards him still lives".

I honestly do not understand what is so bad about this.

I get what you're saying but personally, I don't care to see random people displaying Michael's influence. I don't care that directors want to pay tribute. I want to see Michael, because only Michael could give meaning to any song and any video in a way that touched my (and many other fans') heart(s). I know it may be asking for too much, but I just want MICHAEL.

they are going to over do the MJ image! when its not MJ's IMAGE! I think it would make alot more since if Hollywood tonight video was about what MJ SINGS about.. not an imposter MJ throwout the whole thing.. Ofcourse keep an MJ thread threw the whole thing.. weaving in and out! but do not base it off of the hat, and billie jean jacket and people dancing like MJ.. that's just cheap in every since of the word..

Amazing, the filmed material hasn't even gotten to the editing room yet, but you seem to know exactly what the finished video is going to be. It takes hours to shoot just ONE scene that might end up being 20 seconds long.

And how would you expect a MJ video now that he is gone and Sony only has rights over DWT Bucharest an HWT Munich?Do you want a montage?I guess not.Maybe that girl is the girl from the song?Maybe it's a part of the storyline?

Do you want no clip?Then the album wouldn't be promoted well.I can't say that it has been promoted,but this is the least they can do.They're not investing much money because of the piracy.

We should really stick with what we get.We won't be getting anything better anytime soon,and it also looks like a spectacular tribute...:timer:

Fans will always have different opinions and we all react to Michael's untimely death in our own ways. Some cling to ANYTHING having to do with Michael whether it's him directly or indirectly, and others are more selective and just want Michael, and Michael only.

To say that some are 'spoiled' and not appreciative is offensive, to me. I do appreciate MOST of the songs on the new album, mainly because it's Michael's voice singing them. Most the time it makes me sad to hear his voice but in the rare moments where I DO find the strength to enjoy it, his voice comforts me. So, in a video, I'd like to see Michael and not someone else. I might as well watch a Britney Spears video if I didn't care about seeing Michael. Know what I mean? If that makes me spoiled, so be it. I like to think I'm just a big fan wanting nothing more than to see the person I grew up admiring. I don't think that has anything to do with being spoiled.

Do they even have footage of Michael singing the song? He taped rehearsals for his shows but I don't know if he taped in the studio.

I just hope it shows love and respect towards Michael. Because in a couple of weeks things are going to get sad and depressing with the trial coming up. I am going to wait and see and maybe it will surprise us all. I can't tell anything by the pictures and clips for how the video will be.

Totally agree. Surely there's some unseen footage of Michael in their vault somewhere. Whatever was left on the TII cutting room floor will do just fine. It could even be a montage/collage between Michael and the fans perpetuating the legacy. Sony call me I volonteer to help for free.

Honestly, I am surprised they even have two videos they are working on the way some of the fans have treated this project. Anyway, I am happy and looking forward to seeing these two videos, and btw, I loved HMH. It was beautifully put together imo.

This reminds me of the Who Is IT video that was shown here in the U.S. I was so desappointed at the time because it was a "COMPILATION video with all his previous videos" I couldn't believe that Michael approved of it. But obviously he did. So compilations and videos like WII and Heal the World, Man in the Mirror, were all footage video with hardly any MJ in it, and Michael approved.

Not all of MJ videos were groundbreaking, huge budget mega projects thought I'd remind you. Now that he is gone what do you expect? And yet HMH was nicely done- they've could have gone for compilation but didn't. And it looks like to me they won't go compilation on these two videos. I'm happy with what we get. But of course some of you will always complain and never be happy.

A music video for (murdered) Michael Jackson's single "Hollywood Tonight" was shot in the wee hours earlier this morning outside the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles. The lead role was taken by a female dancer who successfully performed the King of Pop's signature moves---including his patented Moonwalk as cars whizzed by!

Once again, it's very sad how Michael Jackson's legacy is being hijacked and raped by lawyers, "friends" of the family and even financially motivated family members. I guess that's the painful price of fame & fortune.
