Why is Miley Cyrus so populated?

I've never even herd of Miley Cyrus so she cant be that popular :lol:
 
well, maybe not in Europe but over here she is one of the hottest teen sensations.

Do you guys have the Disney Channel ?? She has a sitcom ... 'Hannah Montana'. She is a teen pop star in the show but she lives as a regular teen and only puts on the Pop star image for the stage. Nobody knows that she is Hannah, except her family and best friend.

Hannah is like a 14 year old Lucille Ball on the show :lol:
 
is "See You Again" a remake from an older song? It sounds familiar.
 
She's the new David Casidy. A sitcom actor who plays a pop star on TV and becomes a real one in real life. Lambo. I see her all over the white trash stores like WalMart.
 
Let's be fair to WalMart, they cater to a broader range than just one color of trash :winking2: Any store that is open 24 hours, allowing me to get my shop on anytime I feel the urge ... regardless of the clientèle, my bronze colored azz loves :wub: me some WallyWorld.

i'm not white trash..neither is my family or any of my friends.......but we all shop at wally world :( ... :D oh well..no biggie. to each his own right? :p

:eek: wow. didn't know about these. yeah....FRAUD!!! she's not a good idol...anyone who says she's just being a TEEN is crazy. i'm 19, i've been up and down on the "social chain" and even at times in my life where i was popular, i never did anything like that...so...saying she is JUST BEING A TEEN is just irritating.

NEW YORK -- Miley Cyrus is already way richer than her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, and she's only 15.

People magazine reported that the Miley Cyrus franchise will be worth a projected $1 billion by the end of the year.

The "Hannah Montana" star tops the magazine's list of the richest teen celebrities.

The singer isn't seeing much of the money. Her mom said most is invested and her daughter can't touch it until she's 18.

The Jonas Brothers are also on the list, making $12 million a year. Actress Dakota Fanning, 14, makes $4 million a movie while 12-year-old "Little Miss Sunshine" Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin makes $2 million a film.

However, Breslin has to live on an allowance of $11 a week.

Mark Indelicato, 13 makes nearly $500,000 for a season of "Ugly Betty," but he has an allowance of $50 a week.
 
Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana is very popular in the USA. In other countries, I am not sure. If you live in the USA like me and many fans do on here, you are into entertainment news, or you have children, you know exactly who Miley Cyrus is.

I, like a lot of people, do not get the popularity of this person. I did not get the popularity of Lizzie Migure/Hillary Duff. I watch the shows, they were good shows, but their music is a joke. I really like Raven Symone a lot. She had a great show, "That's So Raven" that was extremely popular on the Disney Channel. Raven was and still is an excellent role model for children and she is very grounded. She was a child star like the Olsen twins and Lindsay Lohan. Unlike those people, Raven focus on what she can do to impower herself instead of destroying herself. Now, I do believe that she was just as popular as Miley, but I doubt she was on Oprah as her character. She was on Oprah regarding the "Cosby" show.

Miley Cyrus seems to be a level headed teenager, but when I saw two rounds of suggestive pictures that she posted on her myspace that were spread on justjared.com and tmz.com, I was bothered. This is a role model that knows that she is being watched and she knows that she can't be having these pictures on her myspace. I was watching ET this past Friday and she did a photoshoot for "Vanity Fair" and there is this picture of her and she was covered and she looked like she had no clothes on. I was thinking, "is this another Britney?"

As far as her talent - she has no real significant talent. She cannot sing or dance, she has no star power. Her whole career is centered on a squeaky clean image. The media has the tendency to manipulate the public into thinking that Miley Cyrus is the ultimate teen idol who has a squeaking clean image. The whole Disney organization is questionable to begin with. They let Vanessa Hudgens keep her job after those pictures of her topless surfaced. Ashley Tisdale with the nose job, Britney Spears in general. I found out yesterday that the young lady who played Miranda from "Lizzle Miguire" was caught with meth in her car when she was stopped by police at least a month ago. I mean, I look at all situations and question the Disney coporation letting these things happen and not trying to do anything about it. I feel that Miley Cyrus, if she is not careful, will be another tragdey like Britney. Her parents seemed to make sure that does not happen, but the paps are all over her, she is doing suggestive pictures and it just reminds me of Britney.

First of all, Walmart is not "white trash". I am black and I am a Walmart lover. There is nothing "white trash" about walmart. I get what I need from Walmart. This thread is not gonna be about what stores are trashy or not. However, Walmart is wayyyy better than some KMart. I mean, there is one thing to have an opinion, but to trash a billionaire business just because you do not like it is low. I mean, I am not a fan of Bloomindales. I think Macy's is better. Why? Because they are cheaper than Bloommindales. LOL. You do not see me calling it "white trash." Yeah, Walmart is a bit questionable, but they are making paper and people go to Walmart. I can't say the same to any of the stores that you go to Nicole. The stores might be "white trash". LOL.

She's a teenager, and I saw the photos, they're not THAT shocking; she's at an age where she's discovering herself (and boys), so what if she's famous, she still has the same, normal, teen hormones, and feelings. As for her music, it's not a joke, I've heard her LIVE, she can sing, and my daughter thinks she's fantastic, and I do too.

If those of you nitpicking her think you can do better, achieve more, go ahead.

she can discover boys without doing the solo bra shots for the camera. 15 is not the same as 18 for those solo shots.

I have to agree with vncwilliam. I saw te pictures and Miley knows better. It makes her look rather raunchy. The pictures look exactly like her because it came from her myspace page.
