Proceeds from the Raptors Foundation's 50/50 draw last night went to the Boys & Girls Clubs while volunteers at the Air Canada Centre collected donations from the fans ... The fans and the Raptors players got a big kick out of a scoreboard bit late in the game when Chris Bosh, Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker and Jose Calderon were superimposed as dancers in the Michael Jackson video for Thriller ... The Raptors lead the NBA in shooting from three-point range (42%) and are on pace for the second-highest team total in NBA history.

Then he tried to pull off a Michael Jackson-style dance move in his celebration, kicking his right leg up in the air, twisting his body and throwing out his left arm. It was his answer to Stepanek's signature post-match dance, "The Worm," which proved to be very popular this week.

Twenty-five years ago this spring, the United States Football League kicked off its inaugural season. This the same year that brought us Michael Jackson's Thriller, a remote control for the Betamax, "National Lampoon's Vacation," parachute pants, and, of course, the USFL. Remember

Perquisite and Pete Philly hooked up for the first time in the autumn of 2002. Philly had, by then, already built up quite a resume, being widely regarded as one of the tightest, most imaginative rappers in The Netherlands. It's Philly's heady mix of influences (from metal to Michael Jackson and De La Soul) that made Pete and Perq click in 2003.

Discovered by Stevie Wonder, this musical prodigy has performed and recorded with Eric Clapton, Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson and Wonder, to name a few.

Michael Jackson HIStory:

1986 - "We Are The World" won Song of the Year at the 28th Annual Grammy Awards.

2002 - It was announced that Michael Jackson's Neverland Entertainment was investing about $20 million into MDP Worldwide Entertainment, Inc. Mark Damon, chief executive of MDP, stated that Jackson would be a producer, actor and director for Neverland Pictures.

2005 - The family of Manuela Gomez Ruiz said that a hospital's focus on accommodating flu-stricken Michael Jackson contributed to the 74-year-old's death. Ruiz had been relocated toa smaller hospital room so Jackson could have a larger room when he was admitted to the hospital. Ruiz had two more heart attacks after being moved and died the same day.

Thanx for the news.

I'm so glad that Ruiz lawsuit does not include Michael. That was a long shot, IMO. How can you blame a patient for the actions of a hospital? How can you hold a patient's celebrity against him?

Notice we haven't heard anything about the lawsuit now that Mike is no longer a part of it. And probably won't hear anything.

Notice of Trustee Sale on Neverland

Yesterday in Santa Barbara, a notice of trustees sale against Neverland was filed by Financial Title Company by the county clerk. This comes as a surprise to me, given the fact that he had not officially appeared in the notice of default with the county of Santa Barbara since the end of November 2007. Michael also recently resolved around $610,000 of liens against the property. Still, according to the filing, he will have three weeks from today to resolve the ~$23+ million dollar loan or Neverland will be set for public auction.

What does all this mean? I thought he was in the middle of a refinancing deal?:mello:

Yes. This is official, not just a Roger Friedman rumor. The official five page notice was legally filed by the County of Santa Barbara County Recorder as of yesterday... The entire issue has been extremely complicated. He did appear in default with Santa Barbara from the middle of October through approximately November 27th, but then his name and the Neverland estate were removed from the list of those in default. Raymone stated in November that he was in the final stages of refinancing and the he wasn't actually in default nor would he be losing Neverland. A $610,000 tax lien on Neverland was cured recently, which at times can be a precursor to a public auction.

Very, very sad. I thought we would keep NL.
Michael has had a lot of trials and tribulations worthy of the trial of Job. It is a miracle that he has survived this far and he is standing. The trial was meant to break him. If you noticed right after the trial an avalanche of lawsuits hit him in every direction. Any body else would have gone under but MJ still comes out smiling. he will get through this and he will come out like the true champion that he is,He is my inspiration.:)
