The Resurrection of Michael Jackson - Music Monthly

One of the Ebony pics would've made a better cover but I'll reserve judgment on what to expect from this article. Im so skeptical these days!
 
I don't like the picture and I don't like the whole resurrection thing.

I hope this is not the cover of the album and I hope the article is good.
 
umm why would it be the cover of the album? It's a pic from WMAs lol

I honestly dont think this article is gonna tell us any info that we don't already know. Everyone involved in the project already is sworn to secrecy. It's just gonna be things we already heard about and quotes by people saying "this album is gonna be great, off the hook, MJ's gonna blow everyone's minds" LOL Which is great! I'm for that.
 
I'm suspicious that MJ may have been in contact with that magazine to do a new photoshoot perhaps... Otherwise why would they acguire that positive tone? They don't usually do that. Sad but true, lol. Oooh, I hope we see new MJ pics!! :D

resurrection, if i'm not mistaken, and why it's applied to Jesus, is it refers to the raising of the dead, which is not even remotely close to anything Michael Jackson. Perhaps it is their conscience speaking to them? of what they tried to do, and this is for their salvation, because Lord knows they need redeeming.
 
resurrection can also mean revival or bringing back to practice...WHICH is what i associated this with. All though I dont necessarily view this as a comeback, many people do. And that's what a comeback essentially is...rising from the depths of obscurity lol
 
i agree, its not a comeback. he's been between albums, about the same time i think as between all his albums? so has every album been a comeback... i dont think so, all that is happening here is he is reminding people of his prominence with how well T25 is doing, so the ass kissing is beginning.. all those media folks who obviously underestimate this man and tried stomping him down to get ratings, are gonna need this same man to come and speak to them now to get ratings. so pucker up jerk faces... you gotta build ratings and all
 
Well i think History was viewed as a "comeback"...and this one too cuz they are after big big scandals. I understand why this one in particular would be considered a comeback though.
 
well i remember when Janet was being asked the same thing and she said you have to go some where to come back. neither of them left. the media can make it whatever they want, they've got the pen, but in the scope of things, it is not that at all, its just the next release.

celine dion is an example of a comeback. she said she was retiring, left, then came back and put out more music. that's a comeback. it's a different thing than being between projects.

I really would like to see that pic on a cover of the magazine even if its photoshopped and the hand doesnt fit to the rest..
it reminds me of portrayals of saints ... and I like that! MJ is like a pope to me lol

...they used the term resurrection& IMO it could be easily replaced by the term comeback.resurrection sounds more mystical but I wouldnt overestimate it..

when Chris Rock was on Steve Harvey sometime last year..he was talking about 'comebacks'.. and he said .. a 'comeback' is Michael Jackson .. because he did physically leave this country to clear his head then came..Chris was actually nice..no name calling or nothing nasty... Steve Harvey don't stand for that...

it was a funny piece.. I wish I remembered all of it...


all jokes aside.. this is a comeback for Michael... I remember on this day in 2005.. I would be on this forum.. wondering what tricks Sneddon was going use next.. to try to take Michael's freedom...

Its not good to live in the past.. but you've got to know your past to appreciate your present and future...

whatever they ment by it, it's positive.. I don't see how an article called 'The Resurrection of Michael Jackson' would be negitive.. Maybe if they put a '?' at the end.. lol! but I think it will be insightful
 
Well, I do not call MJ's return a comeback in any sense. I call his return a return. LOL. In all seriousness, I am doubtful of this. After what has happened to MJ since 1993, I do not trust the media. I just can't and I will not. I hope the piece is positive, but I am not going to give my hopes up. We all know that what is going to be on the CD is top secret so what else are they going to talk about regarding the CD? As for the cover of the magazine, like ATLF stated, why can they get a picture from the Ebony magazine photoshoot? The one picture of MJ wearing that hot gold jacket would have been sweet. But whatever. I will read the article and judge - and I will be judging hard.

Rasta - so, that is what Chris Rock said about Mike? Wow, I am actually shocked. LOL. You are right, Steve do not stand for that bashing stuff. I listen to the man every morning and his show is a trip. :)
 
OK people "resurrection" (in this context) is just another word for "comeback"--let's not get all paranoid in here.

I think the cover is great as well as the whole "resurrection" idea--if the article is good then the whole thing works and I love it! Go Mike! :D
 
The Observer and quite respectable normally (I'm not a regular reader but when I have read it they seem to be one of the fairer papers) so hopefully it will be positive or at least try to be fair.
 
I know MJ does not consider it a comeback.. nor does he think of it a return.. because he feels he never left.. BUT, I think it's very suitable and the media/people eat that right up...

People love these stories..

'warrior gaining glory'...
'fall from grace'...
'Comebacks'...

There is a reason why the highest box office numbers even in movies are these three themes.. Michael has been the warrior gaining glory.. The media tried to protray him as a fall from grace.. Now once they could not do that,(kill him) there is only one place to go.. UP!!!!!

It's a comeback in my eyes.. And a comeback people will use because that's what sells
 
Ok...I buy the Observer every Sunday will have alook at the article. Music Monthly is not the first issue...Ive seen it for a very long time now.

The picture looks a tad distorted..might have been played with a bit..either way I hope it is informative ..adn the ordinary joe is educated rather than fed tabloid and grapewine fodder.

I don't like the pic. To be honest, that's the worst Michael has looked IMO. Please oh please don't jump on me, it's just my opinion. Plus,people will say that it is a bad pic :(
 
are there any direct links or confirmed sources of this coz until then i aint even gonna believe it. anyone could have fabricated that cover and 2 line blurb.
 
^ I think you are right. Cuz I just googled observer monthly music magazine and I haven't found anything about this. Plus that pic does look photoshop like anyone could have done it. So I will believe it when I see it.
