hi everyone,this is my first post..and i have a story to tell..im from malaysia..and over here,there are lots of pirated stuff..from fake cd's to handbags..wtv,,u name it...so i was walking down the street today,,and decided to drop in the local cd store..and guess what i saw..beside thriller 25..thats right..a new micheal jackson album..titled..7even..hahaha..i burst out laughing..man,,ppl r so desparate for a new album from mike..they even got the cover done and everything,..it was black and white,,with a silhouette of michael behind..and the words 7even on top in bold..if i wasnt a fan,and just a regular person browsing trgh the shop,ill def not know that it was fake,,it was done really well,i tell ya..geez..the tracklisting was..if i can recall...1.gangsta(no friend of mine)..2.mamacita(notice how the pirates dnt know its that jason guy;s song.lol)..3.what more can i give...4.xscape...5.to do para ti (lol!..same song but latin version)..5.let me let go(that malachi dude's track again)...6.one more chance...7.we be ballin...8.come ride with me feat r.jerkins...9.we've had enough..and bonus track beautiful girl(lol)....i had me a good laugh for abt 5 mins..:D..
 
hahaha lol yeah same here we have that in Serbia too... but I warned the shop owner to tell people that that is just a collection of demos and unreleased stuff , not to explain further. and he accepted my advice :)
 
That's pathetic. I'm not sure who I feel sorry for more. The people who pay for it not knowing or the idiots who make it stealing from decent folks that honestly think they are getting something. Blah and they aren't stupid cuz someone takes advantage of them. They either don't know or don't care.

i used to live in malaysia many years ago and yes they do have loads of copied stuff, i mean once there was indiana jones 4! lol but it wasnt it was something else

i don't understand why some people here find the misfortune of others amusing. Not everyone who buys his music is a fanatic. A well meaning person on holiday, say, could have been purchasing it for you.

There is no more misfortune that the pleather handbag I bought in Venice. Ruined before I got home. I survived, so will they.:)

Yup...my friend was on vacation and he bought a new "michael jackson album"....when he came home and played it...it turned out to be jason malachi!..........i think most fans who r familiar with the fanclub websites would know that no such album is out...but i feel bad for fans who have bought it thinkin it was MJ.....

Ja, but what i don't like is people branding people who bought the cd's as stupid, or making some moronic lol statement.

I don't blame the people who buys the album. Maybe they just like Michael's music, but does not follow what's happening with him and his music that much. They just see "a new album" in a record store and buys it. What surprised me is these record stores who are selling the album. That's what I call very unprofessional.. Aren't they supposed to know what they're selling. Jeeze!


Can someone go and check who has produced "the album"?

lmao! omg! pple are dumb! how do records stores even get these, if its not sent from mjs pple or the recording company then shudnt they kno its a fake. i mean seriously there is no promo, no commercials, no posters, no press release lol smh

Yep, this must be the 'new MJ album' my 12 year old cousin bought when she was in Sri Lanka (country under India) a few months ago. Lucky she called me so I could tell her that it was a fake.

lol i've actually bought a Home Alone 8.... when i was Shanghai, lol it turne out to be good movie. i was 9...so...lol!!!

if anyone has a picture or graphic of the CD please post it ... the name of the stores selling it, the credits on the disc (producer,distributor) would be appreciated as well.

I agree, we should make this info more readily available. It would be horrible if a MJ fan bought this bootleg, thinking it was the new album. :ph34r:
 
I'd like to know which shop you saw the CD? :lol: I live in Malaysia too, and I didn't see anything like that. All I see is Thriller 25. And yesterday I went out to get some records and the store owner told me that people always come looking for the Thriller LP. (Which was in Amcorp Mall) They sell pirates too.

Where did you see it drsh83? (The only places I know that sell pirated stuff are night markets) :lol:

FYI, there are four "Home Alone" movies. Home Alone 4 was a TV movie made in 2002. It is considered one of the worst movies ever...

i remember there was one remix album called Invincible in the shops back then, and ok the songs were remixed on it but they were also sung by someone else :lol:

In some countries, where folks don't have a lot of access to the media and other resources, unfortunatley forgery and knock-offs go hand in hand.

Take for example in China; there are so many knock-off products ranging from golf clubs to handbags, electrical devices...in fact a few years ago, they had a major warning at Christmas time notifying people to make sure they have an official industry seal (sp) on their extenstion cords. They found out many were coming from China and were not safe.

This happens all over the world sadly. Some countries make a lot of money off of knock-offs and imitation. Even with boot-legging movies. They copy them, put them in a professional package and sell them. You really can't tell the difference.

My heart does go out to those who can't tell what is real and what is fake. They're victims of how the world is now operating under organized crime. It's a globel scam and a sad one at that. :mello:
