Help honor MJ with a Star in Las Vegas!

Okay, Everyone..........

There is an Elvis fan club who have a campaign to get Elvis a Star on the Las Vegas Strip. They started one week before we started ours and they already have close to $3,000!!!!! Dont even ask how much we have so far for our Star for MJ.....its no where close to what the Elvis fans have!

So, tell me, are we gonna let the Elvis fans beat us by raising the money to get Elvis a star before Michael?????????????

Come on guys, donate any amount you can afford...it all adds up. You can also donate a little now and a little later. Its up to you. And, dont forget to spread the word about our fund to fellow MJ fans, clubs, and forums!!!!!!

It is very important to post that info on all possible forums, have you already posted it on MJFC? It has over 44,000 members.

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let us know! This is about ALL of us. Like Donna explained earlier...we are simply sponsors but we hope to work with everyone!

Thanks to all for your support. I'm sorry I haven't been on the board much because of school. Spring break does wonders! We do hope to plan an event once we get the funds but again it all depends on Michael confirming his attendance after we raise the funds. We are in the process of asking the committee to contact Michael themselves, perhaps they'll have better luck than us? Since they're are not a fan club? Not sure what the deal is though. :(

You're welcome, and thank you for this amazing opportunity. Yeah, I thought that if they were to try and contact Michael's reps they'd have a easier time. Not sure why they're not contacting you...but...hope that the committee has better luck. ^_^

Ya know...how come the list of contributers is only like 11 people lol?

Update that page and show everyone who has given $$$...cause only 11 people showing...well that looks kinda bad. Especially to people who are not hard core fans and kinda hesitant to dish out $ even for MJ.

and hells NO to Elvis getting a star before Mike Jack...word needs to get out!
 
As far as I know those are who have donated so far but I understand your concern. Unless you donated today, or yesterday perhaps those names are not up but I know Donna updates the page everyday. We feel its important to recognize those who have contributed but we have to start somewhere. Hopefully soon the list will double, and then triple and so forth. We just completed our sponsor letter that we will be sending out to various celebrities and other artists so hopefully that will help!
 
Rebecca is right. I update the page daily. It only showed 11 people because thats the amount of people who had donated. As of now, there are a total of 12 donations. Like we said before, we understand times are tough, but if everyone donated anything they can afford, big or small, it all adds up. Right now the list is small as we have only started this campaign 2 weeks ago. Thats why we are asking ALL fans to donate..anything. We need to work together to build the list and the funding. We are currently in the process of trying to contact friends and business associates of Michael to see if they can possibly contibute, and also those in the music business who have worked with or have been inspired by him.

We are trying our best to make this happen, but we are in the early stages. Please give us some time as we are giving this campaign our all.

Another thing that would help is if Raymone would respond to us. In years past we worked closely with Michael's assistant, Evvy Tavacsi and she always responded to us and helped with our projects. For some reason Raymone seems to only respond to random fans about random questions. We just find it hard to understand why she doesnt respond to something that is only a positive for Michael. Its really a shame. And its not like we are being impatient, we have been trying to contact her for over a year. Oh well, we'll see this project through with or without her, one way or another.................

thats sad, and strange :( ...and probably this is now the biggest current project for Michael by his fans-fan clubs...so.. :(-_-

Rebecca and I have a brilliant idea that will really get fans to donate and will enable us to reach our donation goal much faster, however, we need to okay it with Raymone and Michael but, as I said, Raymone hasnt responded to us in over a year.

Does anyone know who else we can contact besides Raymone? Seems that all the old crew who worked for Michael (Evvy, Narcisse, etc) no longer work for him. Its a shame because, in my personal experience and opinion, they were great people who really stayed connected as the "go between" with fan clubs and Michael.

Also.......does anyone see a contact addy on the official michaeljackson.com site? We would like the link to this project to be added on that site, but I cant seem to find any contact info or email????

I sure miss the good 'ol days when Michael's staff actually reached out to the fan clubs and did their best to communicate........

What about Majestic? I think he's still living in Vegas.....

Just and idea. Yeah, this is getting a little rediculous. I hope the committee has better luck trying to reach Michael. Keep trying I guess. ^_^

YEa we have a connection with Majestic but he has no connection with Michael :( As far as we know...thanks for the suggestion tho!

By the way.......I spent like 10 minutes writing you this longgg pm and my pc froze when I went to send it! AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then, I write you a shorter pm and it took forever to send and I think it was sent to you 3 times.......lmao......my pc is f ing with me.....lol......
