I never gave Customs a thought :D I suppose they are only doing their job.

Can't wait to recieve it. Although i'm a bit confused about this Opus Reality. Surely anybody with the picture can access the content, regardless of whether they have an Opus or not. The 'special' image would be freely available on the internet within days :no:

Also, the CEO from Opus was on one of the shopping channels the other day in the UK and said that the Reality cards won't be released until early January.

So.. they will send the Reality with a separated shipment... won't they?
 
I'm in the US and I have not received an email nor the opus. I have been emailing Kraken as well as ticketmaster and no one can give me any info on my order. Kraken won't even respond to emails. I am leaving town friday and do not want my Opus delivered while I am gone.

Huh, really?? I can't remember hearing any mention of this until now. I sure hope they'll send them, I can't believe we're not getting the cards with our books..
 
For those who ordered in the UK through the Times bookshop offer I had a call from them this morning saying that the books are now at the docks and they will be receiving them sometime in the next 2 days.Delivery will be in 24 hours after they have received them via courier.
So could have them by end of this week.She said we would definitely have them by Christmas :)

Here we go again. It seems like there is no point in booking anything asap, since I will always get it last. If this is just starting by California, then I can simply sit here reading your comments, waiting for the book to arrive, eventually, by the 25... of January, if I am lucky.

Get this. I was uber excited yesterday about getting an email about my Opus. Ticketmaster have just sent me an email apologising as they made an error and in fact mine hasn't been shipped yet. For the UK peeps a friend of mine emailed Opus and the reason people in the UK have not got their books are The books are stuck at customs. Customs for some reason are refusing to release the books into the country. We need to wait until UK Customs releases the book which hopefully should be Wednesday or Thursday.

The books were manufactured in China they are now being imported to the UK for resale by the publisher. The whole shipment has to pass customs clearance before it can enter the UK to a distribution centre. Once customs is cleared - couple of days only- then your distribution will begin. No threat for any invidiual Opus books there, just a bit of a waiting game..:agree:

This is exciting, the Opus was too expensive a purchase for me, so I am living vicariously through this thread!
 
Ok, here are the news:

The Opus will come with only ONE glove. In honor of Michael Jackson.
And, the Opus reality card, will be sent for the New Year's Eve and not with the Opus, because they are still designing it.

I just talked to opus media on the phone.
 
Having only one glove is dumb. I understand the whole MJ connection, but you need two hands for a book that is this big and heavy.
 
I hope they will keep their promise and we will get it by the 18 this month like we were told..

guess one glove cuts the costs and time of manufacture for the gloves in half but i dont care 1 glove or 2 as....

Ooh Thanks so much for the update. So that means even after we get the Opus for Christmas we'll still have a little New Year's pressie to look forward to. Niiice. Woulda been better to get everything at once and know it's over with (less stress)...BUUUT I suppose it gives us something else to remain excited about along with the DVD/Blu-ray release. Should be interesting to see what footage they put on the reality card. :fortuneteller:

That's just an excuse for not sending a pair of gloves. I paid for two and I should get two.

That's also illegal in the the UK under the "Trades Description Act" which basically states that as a seller you should deliver what you promise. As the description on the Opus website states that all Opuses will come with a pair of gloves, we should expect to receive a pair of gloves!

I am definitely using gloves and I'm kinda pissed that they're not including 2. I'm anal when it comes to MJ stuff, I always hate having prints on high quality mags or photos and for as much as this book costs, i may just use it in a sterile room. Ha ha.
I think I'm going to call and complain.
 
UPDATE!!! From the real world, posted at another MJ forum. California, heads up!!

"For the people in CA. I actually had called Opus directly and I got my tracking no. from them. I just tracked it and it says out for delivery today from fed ex. So I'm just waiting for that knock on my door today to receive my Opus. I'm soo excited. Here's the no to call Opus 01144 207 213-9587. Just remember the time difference when calling make sure their still open."

Hope this might be helpful for some of you. Again, it seems like people are receiving their book and no tracking numbers... whatever!! They have the book, that's what matters!
 
Maybe ppl should call and complain about their own orders. Please do not complain on behalf of ALL fans (as some fans have been known to do), becuz not ALL of us are upset or care. I don't want anything stopping shipment or holding up MY order. I have gloves at home. I can use them if I need to. LOL

Has anyone atall received theirs yet?? I ordered mine through Ticket Master on the 26th Aug. I am in the UK. I received my email the other day to say that i would soon get a tracking number, but nothing yet? Getting anxious now in case it does not come!!
