ok mine has got seriously dusty and its really hard to wipe off :( I would suggest covering it with a plastic cover or something.

and yes I am in the same boat.I didn't think about how or where I would store it :lol: just I knew that I needed it!!
 
i like the opus but in my opinion it is not worthy of a special stand. not with the mistakes and patches of missing ink on the black pages.

My OPUS finally arrived yesterday!!! :D :D :) :) :wild:
Its so beautiful and HUGE!! I didnt get a tracking code or anything..it just came to my house yesterday! Im in love with it! ..havent gone through it all, but it doesnt seem damaged in any way :)

my wonderful bf designed and made a bookstand for it today :) and it is in my livingroom right now :)

Wow, you have a lovely bf! :) I'd love to see a picture of that bookstand, is there any way could you post one? :)
 
I just wanted to let you know that I got my Opus on Wednesday, my computer burned down so I couldnt write then.
I love the book, although I did not have time to look through every page, it`s beautiful and Im so happy it finally arrived!
Praying for you guys who did not get it, Im sure soon will arrive yours too!!
Thanks for all the support this forum gave me.
Hope we can all download the reality cards soon :)

well sometimes you have to make those sacrifices! The OPUS is one of those times.

hmm, well that is just too bad... I am sure I can get a good deluxe blow-up floor mattress for the floor... :lol: I mean I want him to be comfy! :rofl:

I think I will write them a mail/list with all the production errors on Monday...I hope i have enough time this weekend to go through all the pages...

But like you have sayed...if I have to wait another 3 month for another book, I don´t know if I´m willing to go through that again.

Perhaps I will give that Opus out of my hands if they send me first the new one so I can check it and then they can pick up the other one...:cheeky:

The customer service is really bad. It seems they don´t react on e-mails...and you have to phone them directly...
For me it´s really bad, because I´m from Germany and this will be very expensive for me to ring them every second day to remind them to send me a new Opus...

So I only give the Opus out of my hands if they send me a new one first.
I don´t trust them anymore.:no:
 
Same...I would have to an actual direct swap lol. No way would I send mine back without having the new one in my hands. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
 
I finally opened "my magnificent octopus" this morning. The book is beautiful, totally worth what I paid for. Nothing desperately rare or anything, quite a few silly mistakes, but amazing nonetheless. I've put it back in its package and on the floor for now, it's too big to fit anywhere else!
 
I heard they mention Finland in Opus, on page 252! :)

I haven't checked yet why, though :D

yea I will! I dont have internet in my apartment right now, but it will be up after the weekend, I will post a picture of it then :)

After such a long journey, the poor baby must be exhausted :lol:
It came walking all the way from China! (that's why we have to wait this much, not because of any delivery problems, noooo! ;) )

Delivery was PROMISED 8th Jan.
FedEx know nothing.
One very pissed off customer here.
 
I've got mine a couple of days ago. And my God, it's big. I've never seen a bigger book. Just browsed through it quickly and it looks very nice. But I don't know where to put it, it takes up most of my apartment, it's that big
 
LOL I'm having storage problems too. At the moment mine's still in its box under my bed! :lol: It's too pretty to leave there though.
