Schmuley's Book A Good Read

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

CLOSE THIS THREAD. I am shocked that someone wrote a thread on Shumely. I did not read the threads. Shumely is a traitor. On the MJ official website we received warnings several months ago about why we should not buy the book. The book was downloaded so that those who wanted to, could look at it without giving money to this traitor. Messages were sent to fans around the world, so I was surprised when in 2010 someone puts it in this forum. This thread should be closed like the one from the author of "unmasked". Both share similar hatreds against Michael that are sometimes MASKED. What spiritual advisor spills all your inner thoughts to the world? You hear tape recordings of Michael voice, but how come you do not hear tape recordings of Michael saying "Shumely, print everything I say when I die." Why has this thread been allowed to go to 8 pages? PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD. IT SHOULD NOT BE IN THE FORUM. LET'S COME TOGETHER TO CLOSE THIS THREAD.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I cannot support a book that Michael would not have supported. He wasn't friends with Michael anymore and to publish his private thoughts was wrong. Michael is not here to defend himself and what he said in 2001 may not mean he feels the same in 2009. I heard a few things Michael said about his father and Madonna somewhere but I am not going to buy the book. Michael trusted this guy and as soon as Michael dies he publishes these tapes. For someone who is a rabbi or spiritual advisor I think that is disgusting. He is just another person in a long line that used Michael to make money.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

u can read the book free online. tbh i found it pretty boring for the most part and thats coming from a fan. no wonder it sold nothing lol

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I just finished reading this on-line.
http://jetzi-mjvideo.com/books2/tape/tape0axd.html
It's only the conversation between them.It was very interesting.(believing these were the exact words of Him)Helps you understand Mike better.
I've never read the whole book, the rabbi's comments and what i have read here on the forum......i would never buy it.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

Well, I downloaded the book (without the comments of Shumely) why I wanted to read what Michael told him and read it through. It's worth reading the book that Michael says some very interesting, beautiful and is so sincere and helps us learn more about this amazing man. I admire even more Michael.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

i read the FAN VERSION found right here on MJJC.

I love what Michael says. All of it.

Thank you to the people who took the liberty to provide us that.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I don't care if its Michael's own words, I will not buy it. I didn't even tune in to watch Shmuley on TV. Everytime I saw him on TV, I switched the channel.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

Some of the things he said about women was upsetting.

Don't you think he generalises too much?

But maybe it's just that he never got to really see women for who they are since women go in hyper-omg-sexual mode when they see MJ.

Given he have seen women sell they self respect to sleep with his brothers and his father, cause Berry Gordy to run Motown into the ground, cause powerful men like Clinton and others from the Bible to crash and burn in ruin, he had very good reasons for his views and I am not surprise he had them.

Tupac said very similar things when he talked about how most women ignored him until he got famous. Then, they were up all on him. I think he said it best when he said that women would sleep with you for money and power and most men would sleep for a women for free. It does not help that most women Michael met were fans who were more then willing to share some *cough* love. Most for the sake of his fame I am willing to bet.

True. I understand that. I hate it so much when women just fall on famous men like that. Like wtf? Get a grip!

But I don't like the fans comment - most MJ fans are female - from what i've seen from the boards anyway - and we love him endlessly, eternally.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I didn't read the whole book, I read part of it online.

I couldn't even read the whole thing. I couldn't stand when Michael kept mentioning Gavin. I wanted to throw my laptop across the room. I just can't even stand typing the name "Gavin." And Mike was talkin' all nice about him, so I was just...yea.

Mike kind of annoyed me at some parts. I still love him though, of course . But just the things he was saying about women, just kind of upset me a bit? I don't know, I guess I don't know what experiences in his life he had with women, so I shouldn't judge him, it's his opinion, but yea..

He was saying some stuff about women, I was like wtf?! Saying he can understand in some situations why men cheat or w.e. That pissed me off. If they (men or women) got a "reason" to cheat then they need to leave their wife/husband/loved one before going on with another woman/man/lover. That's my opinion though. I'm guessing he was defending Jermaine's actions with his wives?

But yea... I just don't even want to read the whole thing because then Mike was telling Schmuckly how much he loves Schmuckly's family and what not, and I can't stand Schmuckly so ya get the point.

And then he acts like he is SO shy about what women think "in their heads" about him. pfftt he acts like he don't got a mirror when he tried on those gold pants. w.e you say Michael ;D, maybe he shouldn't have worn those gold pants then? ;) teehee

And another reason I didn't want to read the whole thing because to me Schmuckly was talking about himself too much, gettin' on my nerves. I don't care about Schmuckly, I care about Michael. And like others have said, I don't think Michael would have wanted this in the public.

Hahaha :hysterical: I laughed allthroughout your post especially the gold pants part lol.

But Yeah I really enjoyed the book because it was mainly Michael talking and I got a better perspective into Michael's spirituality, which was very interesting for me to read. I don't know, I love reading nice and enriching things like that instead of other books which are filled with speculation and scandal.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I haven´t read the book but I know that Michael was a human and humans change their minds several time during their lifes.
When he talked about women it might have been what he felt in just that time.Something might have happened to him, his brothers or other men he knew .
We don´t know what he would have said a year ago.It could have been a different story.

They asked Michael in an interview if he was gay and he answered of course not and you could read in the bible that you shouldn´t behave that way.
Several year afterwards in an interview he said he didn´t mind if others believed he was gay.
We are all going in the school of life and we are learning things every day.

WOW. That's great that he became a bit more open-minded. When did he say something like the last part though?

just because MJ said he didn't care if you thought he was gay, that doesn't mean he changed his original stance on homosexuality.

I remember this guy on vh1 said he did an interview with MJ around the 70s early 80s and he asked him if he was gay, Michael told him to shut the recorder off , which he did, and he said No, I am not gay. but some of my fans are gay and I don't want to offend them in anyway. Mind you this was in the 70s, early 80s when Michael was very conservative , so that statement isn't really new on his part, he's said it before. Like waaay before.

But in the Rabbi's book which is quite recent, Michael said something quite biblically conservative regarding homosexuality, which I will not say here, you can go find it for yourself in the book.

So Just because he doesn't want to offend anyone doesn't mean he's changed anything really.

But everything can be interpreted by anyone in their own way. This is what I know.

Was that not on Take Two: The Footage You Were Never Meant To See?

EDIT: I'm not saying it didn't happen in the 70's or 80's too, just sounds exactly like the conversation from Take Two

I think it´s a big step from from that he couldn´t stand that someone could believe he was gay to that he didn´t care if someone thought so.

Yes, I remember a Sony exec saying that MJ did the same thing on Bashir's take which was on the 2000's. But Before that was ever said there is a man on vh1 that interviewed Michael in the early 80s, late 70s and rumors were swirling that he was gay back then and he responded in the same manner,so nothing really changed in that aspect...he's always been sensitive to others on that topic by reserving his stance on it publicly.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I wish Michael was a little bit more open minded about homosexuality(if he wasn't). It's hard to hear that from a man so worldy. Then again, he was religious - maybe he believed the bible wholeheartedly. He was the most amazing person, regardless, and I love him eternally.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

I didn't buy his book...I read The Fans version

Also Last night I was at Wal-Mart looking for a calender in the book section and saw three books by/about/etc. Michael. Moonwalker That 'Unmasked' book and the Rabbis I took the Rabbis book and hide them in the back and most of the 'unmasked' and what was left of Moonwalker.. I put in the front... I hope I helped people to get the True thing about Michael. Here's an after Picture from my cell..
IMG00237.jpg

All the Moonwalker books are stacked behind there, once you grab the first you'll come to a second Moonwalker, and so on... you have to go to the back to find rabbis. I wish I had more time to move the unmasked. ;)

Looks like I will be making yet another trip to Wal-Mart. I tell you, that store, feels like I go there everyday.

Thank you for mentioning that you saw it there. I will be going to purchase it.

hahaha I do the same thing when I go to stores, I go to the book sections and hide Schmuckly's(rabbi) and Retard's(Ian) books :)

The Michael Jackson Tapes....The books sucks but have any you read it just see what it says?

The book by that rabbi I know is false and sucks.....But I read it just to see what he claims Michael said in 200-2001....

and WOW

I laughed so hard at that crap....

Michael and Hitler?

Re: The Michael Jackson Tapes....The books sucks but have any you read it just see what it says?

Honstly , i liked the book .i did not buy it but read it on line. i learned beautiful yhings about Michael. i loved him more and undrestood him more...maybe because iam already a fan who loves him . but in general MJ's part is so touching.

Re: Shumely's Book A Good Read

To keep the forum tidy I've merged these two threads. :)

I don't believe michael would ever want people to know about personal things like his break up with lisa and the stuff he said about madonna. that was personal and not meant for the fans or public

thaaaaaaaaat's what I'm talking about!!
I read it online too!!

A good book???
No, it's not.
I bought it months ago because I always wanted to learn stories from both sides. Also, i wanted to see what that kind of 'friend' had to offer us to earn money out of Mj's death. I kept grimacing while reading it because of Schmuley's slanderous words and thought, "having such a friend, who needs an enemy?!" (head shaking)

i bought the book because couldnt find it online. i am only reading Michael's words and they are beautiful. i absoltely love what he says though i cannot say there is something new in there for us. sometimes i have to read rabbi's comments to understand what question is asked - these comments are disgusting. this guy is totally and completely blind. and too proud of himself.
i am glad the book is released. if anybody with brain reads it - they will feel how beautiful Michael is.
