I am so upset right now guys. Not because the kids didn't show up, probably they are not ready yet, and that's okay. Some other time then...
But Frank? Seriosly? For everyone else it was family who received an award and for Michael it was a manager. As if Michael was an ophran. Why none of his family came to get this award? It was such a classy ceremony with very respected people. But it was not televised. Maybe that's why nobody was interested? Poor Michael. Having so many relatives, he was lonely in life and he is lonely in death.

I can't help but laugh now. I think someone played us.
I would have thought someone from the family would have been there for Michael's award, actually I would have thought all of them would. Just like those who were there for their family member.

I like Frank but I am upset that nobody in the family attended to accept. Even if it wasn't the kids, would have been nice to have family support there like everyone else

The King of Pop's progeny will be represented at the Grammy Awards.
A source close to the Jackson family exclusively tells E! News that, as of late Friday evening, Michael Jackson's three children will not only attend the Grammys on Sunday, but will take the stage during the planned tribute to the pop icon to "read some sort of speech" about him.
As we reported before, several other members of the Jackson family are already planning to be in the audience at Los Angeles' Staples Center, as well.
Céline Dion, Carrie Underwood and Usher are among the current chart-toppers who will be participating in the Jackson tribute.
Janet Jackson presided over a muscial tribute to her older brother, who died last June, at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

while i was watching this ceremony i said it was poorly organized and that i didnt want the kids there anymore!!!!! AND IT HAPPENED THE KIDS DID NOT APPEAR THERE :yes: :lol:

I'm glad I didn't have to sit through it for 2 hours like some of you guys. I caught it a few seconds before they showed the tribute we didn't get to see! What a disappointment.

LOS ANGELES - Celine Dion says she's still sad and angry about the death of Michael Jackson.
The diva is set to take the stage along with Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Carrie Underwood and Smokey Robinson for a 3-D tribute to Jackson at the 52nd Grammy Awards on Sunday.
It will be the first look at the environmentally conscious "Earth Day" mini-movie Jackson created for his "This Is It" tour before his death last June.
After rehearsals on Saturday, Dion was asked how it felt to sing "Earth Day" while images of the King of Pop scrolled by on massive screens overhead.
"Very emotional," said Dion, clad in a grey embroidered T-shirt and jeans, with a white leather jacket and thigh-high grey suede boots.
"Very honoured and emotional at the same time. It's kind of an awkward feeling. Sadness, and mad at the same time that he was top shape.
"You see a lot through the newspapers and it's unfortunate sometimes that people have this (distorted) image, but Michael was on top of his gig and on top of his talent, and seeing the movie and seeing him, how top-shape he was, it's very difficult to accept."
Special glasses are available only in the United States at Target stores, so Canadian viewers might not get the full effect of the visuals, which feature a small girl dancing through a lush jungle and falling asleep to images of polar bears, elephants and zebras charging around onscreen.
The song, however, will still pack a punch. As Dion swayed and danced onstage alongside the others, the group harmonized with pre-recorded vocals from Jackson.
For Dion, Jackson was an "amazing source of inspiration." So much so, that she said he was part of the reason she decided to learn English.
"I wanted the same life - show business," she explained.
"I wanted to sing onstage like him. ... I wanted to be onstage someday with Michael Jackson, especially (to) sing onstage with him maybe one day."
Dion said she didn't want to meet the King of Pop and be unable to tell him how honoured she was because of a language barrier.
"It was because of him in a way that I went to school to learn English," she said.
The Grammy performance is difficult for her, the singer added.
"It is, because I'm not only a fan, but I knew him personally a little bit, I met with him, and it's difficult to know that he was doing perfectly well and that he's no longer with us," she said.
"It's just heartbreaking."
So she took one more opportunity to explain what made Jackson such a special performer.
"Michael was not only a great musician, he was a great dancer, he was a great visionary, he had every instrument inside of his body, he knew exactly what he wanted to hear, what he wanted to do, he was feeling everything," she said.
"I hear 'HOO,"' she says, imitating Jackson's signature high-pitched flourish. "I hear this, it's not even a song, but for me it means everything. ...
"He was very, very special. I'm a big fan of Michael Jackson, period. That's all I can say."

Good point.
They made a fool of us, always saying some family member would be there.
I felt uncomfortable about the idea of the kids there, but Di Leo was a... well, it was unexpected.

To be honest his speech left me with a feeling there might have been a last minute change? To me the speech sounded like it wasn't prepared at all :mellow: Dunno. Well tomorrow the actual Grammy's and Earth Song tribute

so....we got had by the media and the Jackson's again......not surprising...however..for all those people who think that Michael is not gone....this only confirms it more.....For me..I am kind of glad that the kids were not there they may not be ready to do these things yet...which is ok.

"I thank the Recording Academy for their honor and know that Michael would have been very pleased to receive such recognition," Joe Jackson continued. "I am very proud of my family and I will continue to seek justice for my son."

you should be happy with it, since you said you'd be fine with anyone. As for the Jacksons not too surprising as this even is not being broadcasted on TV. Bet they'll be at actual premier tomorrow though, pimping up their own offspring like no other. I had no problems with Frank Dileo showing up, good to see another face for once instead of that of Jermaine's.
