Women's Periods

Someone here needs to get over periods.

Once again (since you mean me exclusively but won't say it because you think not calling me out by name is somehow better even when it's totally obvious who you're referring to), no. I don't need to. There is literally nothing that will happen to me if I don't change my attitude that entails the idea that I need to make an effort at it.

Shit, since you guys keep saying men "need to" get over it, maybe one of you can enlighten me on exactly what will happen if I don't. Absolutely nothing. My life will be just fine with me finding menstruation gross and so will yours. Yeah it's natural but so is vomit. Yes, I just compared your monthly gift from mother nature to vomit.

Some people take women's lib way too freakin' far, and the idea that men "need" to be totally comfortable with gross disgusting heinous demonic vagina-blood is a perfect example of that.

Every time my mom tells me that she's suffering from heavy bleeding, a small part of me dies.

Just to reiterate, periods are disgusting.

Have we run out of topics to post...we are now down to talking about this????.....lol

BTW I've wondered before if vampires would enjoy going down on girls who are on the rag. Just throwing that out there.

^ :bugeyed With years I think you will become more accustomed to periods..and their being normal!

I already realize they're normal lol. I'm 21. I just don't care for them. Good thing I don't have to deal with it! Or child birth for that matter.

Good thing is right!

I understand you though. I mean it is pretty weird to have blood streaming out of you for a number of days. LOL. (Disclaimer: Of course it's not always a consistent flow. Get you suitably nauseated?!!!)
We've just got used to it because we've had years' experience of meeting it on a monthly basis!
It's not disgusting though. In fact it's rather a privilege to have a period I think because it means your body is working healthily and is prepared in at least one way to make a baby in the future.

I have been dying for the opportune moment for this one:

:wild::wild:

Didn't Debbie say in her own words that blood and childbirth are nothing beautiful yet he insisted it was??? I wonder. :D

ehhhh, I'd be happy to do without it. But I have no choice but to put up with it..
oh well

Excuse me while I laugh at this thread..

:toofunny: :toofunny: :toofunny:

It is a fact, there is nothing better for the self steem and self confidence in women than...a man.

Nuf said.

You men help a lot women´s self steem.

The world is clearly unfair, obviously.
There is nothing to be proud of about suffering periods every single month or child births while the fathers have great times and have everything easy.
But you, guys, make it even worse.

But I believe its a matter of age, let´s see how old is every one in this topic. So, let´s take it as fun.

I am very much disagree with the topic, by the way. I don´t think at all period is something to speak openly, and its not funny to joke about it.
Tabu? maybe and with good reasons, becoz who on Earth wants to talk about it for heaven´s sake?, and I am a woman.

Bythe way: Women at least enjoy sex so much more than men, yes I do think so.
At least that. There are so many hot men out there, yumy.
Enjoy sex without having babies, women.

On behalf of all of the handful of good guys out there I'd just to say ouch :(

So what is it (speaking to GrandMaster)... is it some type of hypocrisy you're pointing to? Or maybe it's just your personal opinion, which is fine. I mean of course you're probably gonna feel that way... being a man and all. It is what it is. I'm didn't know talking about menstruation is "taboo" though.

I never said it is taboo, I said it is considered taboo. :)

And it depends on what part of the world you are talking about. If you look at other cultures instead of the western view, women are banished away from their families into huts outside the villages while they are on their periods. Without any contact with anyone. So for these parts of the world menstruation is taboo.

I know, it's bogus but like I said that's how it be in some places/countries. Of all the things considered taboo, people are still up in arms about something harmless.

Yes, friends or acquaintances may do so but I don't think you'd be so comfortable if a random stranger came up to you and wanted to talk about it. :D
I don't usually go up to strangers to let them know I'm having my period
usually it's just with friends...sometimes there's situations where you have to let them know you're on your period. Like...when they want to take you bungee jumping or something.

I think there's no need to talk about it in public (like a declaration or something) but it's not gross either. It's a natural thing, it means a woman is healthy. Nothing to be grossed or ashamed about.

I agree ^^

Although even at my age I still kind of giggled when I saw this topic title, but yes,it's a very natural thing.

Also I wanted to ask other females if you too, notice that when you are around other woman very often...say your sisters, aunts & other female friends, for example...you tend to have your periods one person after the other and the longer you're around these other females, the more everyone's periods become even closer together and can even become in sync.. I've always noticed this. Another thing is that mine can come with lunar cycles. Phases of the Moon. I have always thought that on the 'up' side of this very natural thing that it's kind of a beautiful thing about us ladies..it's magic by Mother Nature.

whoa what culture is that? i've only heard of that happening for the first period the girl gets, but she also gets lots of presents after her first period so i doubt they see it as taboo, its some sort of cleansing thing as she transitions from a girl into a lady.

This entire thread is freakin' hilarious :rollin:

GrandMasterS, you :punk: if i could, i would give you a rep point for each and every post of yours lololol.

Now i know you didn'tttttt LOOOOOL

Agreed. Not fair. We get periods, we give birth....and what do men do? Nothing! lol

Dutchie, i totally disagree. You can't say men do nothing. Even the Amazons had to "make use" of male counterparts to keep it up *punch verrrry much intended* But then again, maybe they didn't and that's why they disappeared lol. *gets funny ideas about men all tied up and stuff and engages in some tribal dancing around the 'prisoners' :girl_dance:* :p

Women who fool themselves they can make it out there (in each AND every way :trytobeangel) in this cold, big world without men are the real losers. I would have said somethin' else, but it's better if i keep my big mouth shut, just this once.....

It is a fact, there is nothing better for the self steem and self confidence in women than...a man.

Preach it sistah, preach :punk: No truer words Eva spoken.
