Misheard MJ lyrics

i'm doubled up laughing here!!! more, more, more!

i guess my worst one is from IJCSLY, which has been mentioned here. "heaven's conneticain" was how i heard it, too. but basically, i look up something right away when i can't understand what he's saying.

this is an excerpt from an article i read last year:

This whole article about Jackson's voice can help explain why even Americans and Englishmen often do not understand Michael Jackson's words while listening to his songs. There is factually no such concept as "word" for Jackson while he sings a song. There are only sounds. He began to use voice not only to bring sense into the music, but to create music and new sounds. Yes, Michael Jackson sings music, not words.

I searched up the lyrics to Earth Song today and the thing I always sing is: "This crying Earth that we picture?" while it's "This crying Earth it's weeping shores?"

Not that it's funny or anything.

That's actually a good explanation for it.

In black or white i always sing it like this lol

i told my baby on a saturday night

and then the rest of that 1st wee bit i never understood a word of it... (the bit ive highlighted below)

proper lyrics:
I Took My Baby
On A Saturday Bang
Boy Is That Girl With You
Yes We're One And The Same

In "Cry" I always thought he said "screw the world", but I knew Michael wouldn't sing something like that so I looked it up and it said "show the world". Strangely enough, I simply can't hear "show" the world, not even to this day  To me it still sounds like either "screw" or "school" :cheeky:

It actually wouldnt have bothered me much if he had said that, u know considering everything he went through. If he would have said that, i would have been like :punk::clapping:"Good on ya mike"!

I just remembered one when I was in the thread about "If You Don't Love Me"

"I had to write you just to tell you that I may be kissing on your photograph."

Always sounded to me like:

"I had to write you just to tell you that I'm aiming p*ss on all your photographs."

OMG same here :lmao:
No matter how many times I' ve listened to this song, I still hear "screw the world" :fear:
At least I'm glad I'm not the only one :cheeky:
*lol* High five!

Well, it wouldn't have bothered me either, however, I don't think "screw the world" would sound appropriate for a song like "Cry". But other than that, I don't mind when Michael swears a little, e.g. in "This Time Around": this time around I'm taking no sh*t or in "Scream": stop f*cking with me:cheeky:

Many years I heard: Annie are you wake up?

I'm neither American nor Englishmen so some words sounds ridiculous in the context for me if I don't know the lyrics .
Even now I couldn't understand what exactly Michel says in the 3rd couplet of "Give In To Me" demo. Any ideas? :D

Last night (I was probably tired when I heard this) I was listening to Can You Feel It and I heard "the blood inside my face" instead of "the blood inside my veins"

In Beat It I thought it was " Beat it, beat it, know one wants to beat it beat it " when it's " Beat it, beat it, know one wants to be defeated " lol!

Wow, "If You Don't Love Me" is one UPBEAT sounding break-up song. :wild:

In Another Part Of Me I always heard: 'We're sending out, I made love' instead of 'We're sending out a major love'...

A young relative of mine is convinced that "Every day create your History" is actually "Every day we make a Christmas tree" haha

my friend is soo convinced that annie are you ok is eddie are you lol

at the start of RTT he says "Hello, What you wanna Try" or thats what it sounds like to me.

I understand something like "I don't know... would you wanna try/ Everytime I see you...hehehe"

Someone once said it was " I don't know, what you wanna try... Step into my scene"

So then I could hear that and that's what I sing.

Check it out, in the Acapella version it's more clear what he says :)

He says "Heh heh...I don't know, what you wanna try? Every time you see.."

When I was younger I thought in 'Beat It' it was 'No one wants to feel it, beat it' and in 'Wanna be Startin' Somethin'' I thought it was 'When I'm standin' on the side of a mountain side'

Until recently a friend of mine still thought that it was 'Eddie are you ok' in 'Smooth Criminal' until I corrected her!

sometimes i think people are posting things just because they think its funny and not really a lyric at all. those are the people that bug the hell out of me lol.
