Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

The worst side of it, as it was already said, once you open the door to media, you are just fooling yourself if you think you can close it and keep them away from you again.

Don't go asking for privacy again, Jacksons... for it's YOU who are inviting the monsters to your own table. Michael tried his best to deal with this and see what they did. Do you think you can be better than Michael at this?

Some people never learn. Or some just don't want to learn

:agree:

Sooooooooooo true.... :(

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I'm GLAD Katherine's taking it to the head. Go right directly TO Oprah & set her ass straight once & for all. Maybe that heifer will start coming correct when she talks about Michael in the future.

Are you kidding? Katherine setting Oprah's behind straight? Oprah will present what she wants to present to the viewing audience and theres nothing Katherine or anyone else will be able to do about it.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I would love to see his children. I don't think I ever heard Blanket speak before. I will definately record this.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

And Katherine did say in one of her recent interviews that she never liked that Michael covered the children's faces. So she's probably just doing what she thinks is right as their legal guardian (or being manipulated by Joe, et al). She is their guardian, not Oprah, not us.

I think the kids will be fine. It's just a talk show appearance. It's not like they are on stage performing in a singing group (although we know Joe would love that, heh).

Yeah but the only thing is that it makes it seem to the public that Michael never had intentions to take those masks off the Kids.. when in late 08' early 09 you did see the kids w/out the masks on in pictures and Michael did say he would take them off when the kids was ready..I believe he would have. I just think that part in the interview made it seem like Michael was 'crazy' and didn't have any sense about his own kids. Which he did.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Ill wait for YouTube vids..., I am very curious...

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

BTW, I agree with that from TMZ comments:
I'll bet that a whole lot of people will suddenly start thinking that Michael was a child molester just because of the timing of this show.

I think that if fans were not so passionate with Oprah and her molestation shows, most of the average viewers would not see such a connection with Michael, thats true...!

Now its all over the net... Oprah and MJs kids vs. the molestation shows..., the less attention the better for MJ!

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

It is a pity that none of Michael's sisters seem to have any interest in helping Katherine make decisions about Michael's children.
I guess we are just now finding out something Michael Jackson always knew.
Pray that God will make the interview of Michael's children
turn into a blessing for them.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

So out of all the posts here it seems like the lot of you think that Mama Kat is MAKING PP&B sit down with Oprah and talk.... Does anyone here think these kids can think for themselves? I mean these kids DO have a mind of their own and can use it. If they themselves feel that they are strong enough to sit in the presents of the devil herself then i think these kids are built for anything.

I do think they can think for them self and i think they can make up their own minds on wither they want to talk about their dad or not. We are in no position to say what they should or shouldn't do. We are not their keeper and we have no say in their life. We know what their dad wanted. We know he wanted to keep them out of the press and media. But things have changed. We don't know what is going on, we don't know if Kathrine asked them what they thought or if they wanted to take part in this interview Clearly they wanted to. IT IS UP TO THEM not us.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Part of being a child of 13 or 12 or 8 years old is that your mind like your body is not fully developed.
Thus, every minor child (less than 18 years old) must have an adult parent or guardian who can make decisions for them.

I think I wrote this before "if they want to do it then it's okay" doesn't make sense to me. If we had gone with that logic then every child would be playing computer games rather than studying or eating desserts rather than vegetables. You don't let your kids be out at midnight with strangers just because they want to , right? Sure the kids can think for themselves but that doesn't mean that what a child want might necessarily be the best thing for them, that's why we have something called an adult supervision.

Also there's an important question that needs to be asked here even if we go with "they wanted to do it" theory.

Are we assuming that they know EVERYTHING that Oprah said about their dad and STILL wanted to take part?

or

Are we assuming that they just know Oprah as the nice famous TV host lady that came to their house and wanted to take part?

There's a whole a lot of difference between the two possibilities in my book.

Even if they were given the choice and made their own decisions to participate in Oprah's show but they didn't know the whole background info of Oprah and how she treated their father then it would still be misguiding the children as they weren't allowed to make an informed decision.

^^^This has been said in so many different ways in this thread; however, many seem to not understand it. There seem to be some misunderstanding between the role of adult guardianship vs children's intelligence and wishes. The result is that some think that if a child is smart enough or want to do a particular thing, then it is ok for the child to do it regardless of the child's minor age. To those who think in this way, it is ok for Michael's children to be on Oprah because they are intelligent.

I think that what will happen after the interview, is that we will have those who like it and give reasons such as the children looked happy, they spoke well, Catherine spoke about Michael in a positive way, the children showed that Michael was a good dad, etc. Then we will have those who look at the broader moral, ethical, social, etc., underpinnings of the interview and will dissect the interview in a broader way.

Mjjc staff always warns that the media monitors this board. TMZ is guilty, they off and running with fans reaction to OPRAH'S molestation/katherine shows. Not good at all.

Just stuck another pin in OPRAH'S voodoo doll.

Yes, this is true. Everyone noticed what the show was scheduled against and discussed it as its important to discuss for obvious reasons. Was it a co-incidence or not? Yet a few days later TMZ adds the same thing to their site. This is why we just ask people to be careful with what they write as yes the media has spies that monitor us and other boards as well. Hopefully with TMZ picking it up the Jackson family will make a complaint about it but highly doubt they will.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

It's a shame some of the Jacksons trusted her to begin with! They complained about her doing this back in 05 and now she did it twice as bad! She did it with the LMP interview, doing it again with the special Jackie will be on and then the one Katherine will be on! If they don't complain about that, then how hypocritical of them! It doesn't make it all of a sudden okay because they will be on her show or is that the reason!? Hmmmf!

Even if she show MJ in a good light in the Katherine upcoming interview that doesn't taken away what she did! If they didn't like it then in 05 they have even more reason to hate it now because she made it be around every special relating to MJ and to me it's clear that was on purpose!

Why be fake about it trying to portray MJ in a alleged good light while thinking the worst happened!? Oprah should educate herself on the cases and then maybe she won't have to feel that way! So unbalanced when it comes to MJ! It's getting old! So much info out there and she chooses to ignore it! There is no excuse for it anymore! It's just plain ignorance & Hate!

This is true. One see a child that is happy and it's looking very intelligent, but that doesn't mean that certain challenges won't prove too hard, and in time won't do harm.

Humans got subconscious processes, and children might appear very ok after a big trauma, but deep down they can still hurt badly. Why pushing them in further stressful situations, or situations that they would look at them differently in few years...?

In my opinion those children entered into public attention too soon - 2 weeks after their father death, at memorial. Maybe it helped in some way, however was way too soon. Then the Grammies... That was totally unnecessary and again too soon... Why put them to collect awards for their father? Now this interview, even if they would appear shortly, why should they help to their father legacy? They can do it so well when they will be adults.

Meanwhile that legacy can be enforced by a united voice of the family, by them not going to tabloids, by stopping various stories about Mike being as manipulated, druggie puppet and fake interventions. Or about Omar, or etc It would be easier to do that. Mike children won't be necessary then.

Prince, Paris, Blanket only duty is to grow beautifully and harmoniously, not to help in the image of their father. For this, stories from third parties are enough, stories that tells us how smart, educated, good kids they are.

Just stuck another pin in OPRAH'S voodoo doll.

Actually an MJ group contacted TMZ. They have a story about it here:

http://www.tmz.com/2010/11/03/oprah...ine-paris-blankey-prince-molestation-episode/

An official MJ fan group ain't buying Oprah's "purely coincidental" excuse -- telling us, they are "angry and disappointed" that she's airing her interview with MJ's kids days after a special on child molestation.

A rep for the Official Michael Jackson Fans of Southern California tells TMZ, “We are both angry and disappointed in Oprah’s constant need to reference child molestation shows prior to airing Michael Jackson related episodes. Her tone seems to speak volumes.”

Oprah called the whole thing "purely coincidental" ... but MJ fans aren't convinced. The rep adds, “How can something so obvious be a coincidence?"

As we previously reported, Oprah's big interview with Michael Jackson's children is scheduled to air next Monday -- three days after Friday's big show ... entitled "200 Adult Men Who Were Molested Come Forward."

They don't necessarily need to come to the boards. The fans go to them.
