Michael and Janet Jackson cruised the streets of Los Angeles handing out dinners to homeless people.

The superstar singer has opened up about her colourful past and her personal issues in a new book True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself, and writes about her closeness to her late Thriller hitmaker brother, who died in 2009.

And during a candid chat with Piers Morgan on his CNN show, Jackson reveals her favourite memory with Michael is when the famous pair would hand out hot dinners to down-and-outs.

She recalls, "Mike and I were very close. We used to go to this restaurant called Love's, I don't think it's there anymore, and we used to get a ton of dinners. And we'd drive around in the car looking for homeless people to give them to.

"We used to do it all the time, and just give them food. And one guy said, 'I don't want your stinking food!' And I was like, 'Let's get out of here!' He (Michael) was the one who was driving and I was the one passing out the food. But that's the only time there was any sort of rejection."

I love to here these type of recollections of Michael..this clip is so interesting..it's funny how much we don't know of Michael but yet we now hear so many positive bits and pieces of him.
 
Very nice, very very nice!!! Who was it again that said Michael couldn't drive cars? I don't remember but apparently Michael WAS able to drive cars.

I watched that interview on TV and I thought it was so funny. I could just picture her jumping in the car and Michael speeding off LOL
 
I am trying to remember when or where I heard/saw Michael disclosing that he fed the homeless in the night in LA and also would go and give them money. Of course, they did not know it was him. Does anyone remember hearing this before?

That is such a very sweet story about my beloved Michael. I just totally L.:wub:.V.E. hearing these kind of stories about him. It just makes me L.:heart:.V.E. him even more than I already do. Thank you so much for posting that.

We need to hear more stories like these. I remember Liz Taylor saying that Michael would donate money to hospitals and shelters, and they didn't even know it was Michael Jackson....He loved doing it....Bless his heart. Thanks Janet for sharing :kiss:.
