at first I was against this whole thing, especially after hearing Akon sing/butcher wbss (the song not our member :lol: )

but you know what I listened to that "The Girl is Mine 08" a few times... and I am soooo loving it right now :wub:

listen for the adlibs by Michael towards the end after Will.I.Am is finishing his rap.... :wub:

There's more to life that "big hits". As JudgingNoone said, Thriller 25 shows no artistic integrity and it leave little hope for his new studio album. I'm sorry if you don't appreciate my opinions on this forum. But I feel I am entitle to my own opinion and just because I am no thrilled about what MJ is doing at the moment with his music does not mean I don't love him as much as the next person. Infact, I love him and his music so much that I don't want to see his music ruined by some trashy hip hop producers.

I'm definitely feeling "The Girl Is Mine". I only heard it once and can't get it out of my head. LOL!

I hear what you mean. After listening to the leaks I have to say he will be in big trouble if he wants to maintain any integrity outside the pop/chart business with these hip hop producers. I can see him working with Will.i.am though.

Lets just hope will.i.am was right when he mentioned something like off the wallish new material.

I can actually understand why Mike would do this but I feel he don't have to go there. The original album is available. Parents can get kids to buy it and they'll enjoy it even without their favorite new artist on it. :)

Well the original songs really are still in tact so the kids will seque from the new sound to the classic songs, right?

Michael goes into the stratosphere on TGIM adlibs my goodness, it literally gives me CHILLS :lol: CHILLS I tell you! ... like from the depths of his soul - and he goes "o'eye" like in OMC so it sounds like a recent addition.

As much as I'm SO not a fan of either remixes OR re-makes of any classics,

I feel in the end Michael is being smart - you know he wants artistic immortality and all these songs will probably appeal to today's 'appetite'

because y'all know full well what these kids have been 'feeding' on - it ain't been pretty :no:

and you know how it is eating 'junk' food - it creates more of an appetite for it -

so Michael's mixed it in - to whet the kids appetite for the good stuff - like when you mix granola with your kids' sugary yogurt or their sugary cereal - everyone knows the nutritional value of sugar - but it doeesn't change the value of the granola

the kids will end up 'Mike Jacked' at the end of the day and they won't really know what happened to them :lol: .

Wouldn't surprise me if membership on these boards soars after these have been out a while. :p

Yeah the original songs are still intact, that's why I have the original album. :p

But if y'all wanna buy it, we ain't stopping you. Keep giving Mike money, that was his tactic all along. :D

I can't hate on that but I can hate on the remixes. So yeah I'm a hater. :p :lol:

I quite agree. I like the idea of having it changed to a duet though. Just think of the 'Beat It' video. It's just like having the two gangs' leaders rivaling with the vocals. :p

Yes, of course. But it's all about appealing to these people. These kids are HOOKED on a certain sound, believe me my cousins and nephews won't accept anything that don't sound like Tpain usher or whatever lol. And obviously the original is a BIT more appealing to them with the updated sound and their favorite artists on the track. MJ knows this.

you know kids have a distaste for old school, or at least admitting they like old school lol. Even in 'my day' (lol i'm only 20 lol), people looked at me crazy when i said i mostly listen to old school. Well now TGIM isn't old school any more lol

I can't believe ya'll are trippin over some dang remixes. Did u think MJ would stop and put total and extreme effort into this, more so than the album he's already working on? Will I Am probably did most of this stuff and MJ over saw it. But MJ is CREATIVELY INVESTED in this new album and yes, it'll have an updated "today's music" sound, and if u have a problem with that, then that's gonna be a problem :lol: But just cuz Will is producing it and giving MJ that sound doesn't mean it's gonna suck. YOu heard Ne Yo, MJ's being very picky with the NEW ALBUM and he, himself, is not gonna put crap on his album.

This remix thing is only a RERELEASE of an old album. Nothing more except more promotion for MJ. It is NOT a proper album.

His voice hasn't changed at all.

NOT THAT GOOD!!! It even says on the track listing Michael Jackson with Will I Am

Those are new vocals... And I know he re-recorded the vocals for "BJ"

I agree. Those vocals sound new to me too. Those start @ 02:15. Michael's voice really sounds recent to me. Awww and those Michael's adlibs!:wub:

I've fallen in love with TGIM 2008 really! That tambourine, that synth bass riff.
I like also Will's adlib "She's mine". :)

I think they just lowered the pitch, I think Michael vocals in Billie Jean are the same.
