an fan on anotehr board emailed raymone ans she said "discussions are ongoing"

I know we don't know...
but unfortunately when fans email Bain and she knows for sure that its not TRUE...she simply says it's NOT TRUE. :lol: She wouldn't make "cryptic" messages if it was dead pan untrue...so there is a definite possibility that it'll happen.

Its probably already in the bag, and she just doesn't wanna say its for certain so that she can keep the suspense up. LOL

Oh I didnt know Bain had commented. Cool. So was she asked if he is appearing or if he is performing? (which he'd have to appear for anyway but you get what I mean! :lol:)

I've always thought people's opinion of him as a live performer would change for the better if he performed a song like that for a large audience like the one that watches the grammies.

If I remember rightly, this is exactly the kind of reasoning that left fans disappointed at the WMA. MISS BAIN SAID they are in discussions, which means nothing is decided. MJ might deside not to go. Please stop assuming that he is going to do something because the last thing I want to hear when we should be celebrating MJ's achievement, is fans griping because THEIR expectations were ever met. Why can't we just accept things as they are and allow ourselves to be surprised. Believe me it is more fun that way. Everytime MJ is about to do something we speculate out of control and then we mourn because we didn't get what we want, then the board is left in turmoil and everybody is unhappy:(

Well I'm not one of those fans that'll BE disappointed if MJ DOESN'T perform. I read and understood what she said and if he doesn't perform I DEFINITELY i'm not gonna be shocked. But AS OF NOW, there's a possibility. It's not just as straight up "NO." LOL So AS OF NOW, I can speculate but if it doesn't happen, it's COOL. She didn't say YES either. lol

And this is WHY fans shouldn't even EMAIL her about stuff like this. lol

Exactly! I mean, I ain't gonna be mad at him if he doesn't perform, pretty much because there wasn't any notion that he would anyway.

He's got to get back to performing at some point. A lot of performers, if they are off the stage for a long period of time they find it hard to get back on the stage. Michael hasn't done a real performance since 2002. The closest thing he's had to a performance was the impromptu WMAs sing-a-long in 2006. So he hasn't done a real performance in 6 years. A lot of performers would find it difficult to return to the stage after that length of time. If he leaves it any longer he'll just be too stage-frightened to perform again I think.

It's true. If one hasn't been on stage for so long, he/she will find it hard to be on stage again. :(

Please don't set up YOUR expectation so that when it doesn't happen..
there will be pages and pages of complaints and frustrations about Michael after the Grammy ceremony.. on why he didn't do this and that...

Please don't go down that alley.. and I wouldn't be surprise that by this being insinuated here.. that is the next angle the tabloid idiots will take on their next story on MJ...

Who gives a crap what the tabloids think? I'm just worried that he's been off the stage too long that he's scared/worried about getting back on it and that's why he's passed up the many opportunities he's had in the last couple of years to perform.

Plus he has feared he may break something. Remember 1999? He was injured a bit on that stage. Maybe that's why he's such a perfectionist because one misstep and he won't ever forgive himself for it. I hope he's not afraid of making a misstep. Makes you wonder what he meant about not performing "to death" like James and Jackie... but I won't make any further assumptions.

that was pretty clear to me. he meant that he doesnt wanna kill himself by touring when he gets old like brown and wilson did. they were workaholics and they didnt give themselves a break. they kept on touring when they were old and as a result their health was damaged and they died. michael was talking about touring not performing. touring is exhausting. performing once in a while isnt. that goes for everyone no matter if they're 20 or 70

Michael will be fine! Whether he performs at the Grammys or not! I think some of us worry waay too much about unnecessary stuff! Just wait & see what happens!
