Rescheduling Of Opening Shows General Discussion Only

Not all 20 000 tickets would have been released for sale and some would actually not minded March shows. So for those who need July tickets they could have accomodated them...There is definetey a better alternative, but AEG simply took the easiest way out!! Its quite lazy on their part!

This was posted by someone earlyer.. they could do something similar to this of course!

july 8th move to 12th

july 10th move to 14th

july 12th move to 20th

july 14th move to august 14th

therefore michael would not perform any gigs 2 consecitive nights

This is exactly what I was about to recommend. Why didn't they just move the first 5 dates to the first dates that were opened instead of putting them all the way at the end?

I know that Michael wanted to have a day of rest between shows, but I think that since he was only changing 5 days, he should have been the one to sacrifice and perform ten days straight and THEN get back on schedule. AEG should not have put this burden on the fans. That is just my opinion on this matter. I feel bad for fans who will not be able to get all their money back from those plane tickets.

And I don't understand how anyone is out of money for hotels. When I make a reservation at a hotel, they don't charge my card. I usual have til within 24 hours of check in to cancel my reservation. So why are yall already being charged for hotels when the event is more than 30 days away?

So are still some concerts on 4 july?
or have all them been moved to march?

hey peeps :(

I am truly sorry for all that are affected by these date changes. Hopefully as many of you as possible can find a decent solution. If you have not already done so, get an email to Gaz as he is contacting AEG on the Fan Communitys behalf

I also completely understand anyone's anger or outright frustration with this news. People have to vent in situations such as this, that is totally understandable  To those that are not affected directly by this news, please be compassionate to those that are. Remember that people say and do things in anger and later feel differently.

Having said that, smart azz comments, snide comebacks to other members or anything disrespectful in nature is still not acceptable. Feel free to vent your dismay but do not take it out or direct it towards the membership. Because it will not be tolerated, in the least.

Consider this a friendly warning for the days to come.

Again, my heart goes out to all who are affected :flowers:

Some hotels require a deposit for out of town customers. My dad goes to Europe all the time and he's charged a deposit depending on the hotel.

Wow this really came as a real shock and I can understand what you ppl are feeling..
I myself haven't been affected ( my tix are for 28th july, hopefully that won't change too) but I can totally relate bc I am coming from the States and have already booked my plane and hotel tix.

However... I think the types of insults some ppl are hurling around here are uncalled for. Everyone's upset but you can voice your opinions in a respectful way.
Let's hope everything will be fine in the end...

I was charged a deposit too but it's only like 20 pounds, the rest you pay when you check in, o they wouldn't be losing that much. It's the plane tix that cost more to reschedule...

OMG, I just got on now and found this...I hope everyone affected by the date changes is still able to go somehow. :(

My credit card has been charged already for the hotel over $600 Canadian for 4 days, for the flight almost $4000 Canadian, and the MJ tickets $620 Canadian. Already been paid for. They charged me when I made the reservations and booked it.

This is all MJ's fault, and I agree wholehearedly with the following quote. It is spot on the money:

Ironically enough, if MJ had the balls to just put on an adult concert, none of this would have happened.

The reason for the delay is that he is orchestrating a ludicrous, overblown spectacle - 22 sets, magic tricks and all manner of bullshit - which it is impossible to get ready in time for the concerts.

He should have worked out how much time he had and worked around that constraint. But no. Whores will have their trinkets.

I really do feel sorry for the people this has affected.

I knew this was coming though, from the moment I first read [Argh-effs] article.

to me, Michael performing ten days straight is out of the question. in that case you're bound to lose out on the other end.

First i'd like to say that NO Attacks toward Michael or fans is allowed here. and second, I know there are ppl. affected by this change and i feel for them, But that doesnt give us the right to blame Michael for all this. We will know what we have to soon If not later. There's Obviously something going on.

Its not the end of the world. I know People are angry...but really Please have respect.

I'm actually a psychologist, and have studied it also.

Ok then, go offline, take a deep breath and overthink if it really makes sense to stirr up a negative atmosphere as you did with all your last posts!
Geeeez you have a right to be angry but you should simply know better than that if you've comprehend what you've studied that means! And who am I to tell you? A fellow psychologist with some professional dignity!

I feel for you guys who've lost money or even worse every possibility to go (cuz of exams or anything) and who are pissed and frusterated. This is really (sh)it!
Now let's see how we can help you guys please, let's see what's possible.
Call hotels give them a heartbreaking story and see what's possible.
Call ticket masters for your plane tickets and ask them what's possible... maybe tell them you don't want to change to other flight companies only cuz they are cheaper on the new dates. I'd personally ask my travel agency to find out about everything.

Then again I really hope this is it now... but let's be honest we all know concerts are postponed sometimes even cancelled... it is always a risk with every artist! It was always like that and it will not change, from now on please keep this is mind.
Let's be fair, maybe this was Michaels decision but for sure he has reasons! And as sure his reasons are not to let down fans is so nice for him.

To those of you praising a well known asshole with the initials R.F. let me shortly say... a blind chicken finds a corn at times! Wishing someone bad doesn't mean you've been successfull when this shit really happens to this someone and it doesn't make him a reliable source for whishing bad! that's beyond ridiculous.

We all (should) simply know it's a risk before booking and making reservations when going to a concert far away. At least the artist could get sick every day, there could be a weather chaos or some other stuff bla... please don't put more on risk that you should. Please overthink your decision if you still have the time.

This is might a very hard lesson but the sooner we all learn it, the better.

Has to agree with that post please do not attack one another and again it is ok to vent and it's ok to be upset but don't attack or disrespect each other as well. You can blame whoever you want it's your emotions and your thoughts however, voice those opinions in a respectful manner.

And members please remember to support one another not bitch at each other. Right now is a hard time and we need to have patience for those effected.

Anyone here give any thought to calling the airlines and re booking your flight? You have enough time to do so

Lot of talk in this thread about not taken things out on fans. How about saying something about the name calling that concerns Michael? What about the things being said about him here?

the most disresepct i've seen in any forum i think is in this one...

so freaking heartbreaking

keep the faith guys.

have love 4 the man, not hate.
he's doing it FOR us all. please!

Moving July dates to March is pure stupidity. Summer is when students are on vacation, parents get days off, and such like that. July dates should be moves to another time during the summer.

-_-

We are being lienent to an extent because of the uproar but regardless there is no disrespecting Michael either. I'll be the first to admit I haven't read the entire thread and I'm still searching for the original sources of some quotes but regardless everyone should know the rules.

And because we are trying to allow members to vent their concerns in no way opens the door to attacking Michael.

This is truly a heartbreaking situation for fans who had tickets, had made arrangements, and looked forward to attending these early concerts, with great anticipation. For some there could be losses of literally thousands of dollars. Please email Gary (as mentioned above) and we can try to work through this as a community. I am so very sorry for those whom this has affected.

But as Mechi said, if you have to, go offline, take a deep breath, and think about what you post. For sure, people are upset and have a right to vent. I'll reaffirm here that the venting must stop short of personal attacks -- and that includes attacks on Michael. I'm sure he's well aware of the pain this has caused many fans.

I'd suggest to let moderators do their job! They're doing close to perfect if you ask me!
I'd also like to say I apreciate that the board demonstrates some patients and understanding YET for the anger and frusteration these news are causing!

Some things are said speeded by emotions but not really meant by a later able to work again mind, if this makes sense.

Let's all find some understanding for eachother that would be best and will cool things down what should also be most helpfull for everybody.

I am sorry to hear that but lets be real here Michael puts on the show how you get there to see the show is not his problem.

Nor is it the members fault that the shows are rescheduled and their plans are destroyed so either show some compassion or maybe it's just time for you to find a thread that is better suited to you.

The losses here are genuine for some/many. It's not only the price of the ticket, but some fans booked flights and hotels well in advance to be sure their logistics were well put-together. Some flights are non-refundable, and that can be a significant expense. Hotels usually require deposits. Hopefully most hotels will be understanding and there can be some refunds? Also this has to do with scheduling work and vacation time, and there is also children's schooling to be considered. July is summer break for most, but March -- is NOT. So please have compassion for those who are facing losses?

Thanks,

Vic

i just wanna say i love all of u guys. well most of u (lol) and things will work out, dont fret =]

I will show some compassion when some here stop acting like Michael is the devil for because the shows were changed. What has happen here happens all of the time. If such a thing happen to me I would be upset to it is human nature to be upset but the act like Michael changed the dates just to spite you is just not right
