Things to try to get your mind off MJ's passing?

Working out is the only one of those you should be doing. You dont need to take your mind off it, just remember him in a positive way.

howabout turning your television off, getting in your car, and driving to a remote spot (field, park, countryside, creek, alley) where you can reflect. I did this in the morning when the sun was coming up, just in front of my house, and it was good reflection time that I needed for the day. I am still hurting though. Nonetheless it helped.

Or writing about it, or something else.
songs, poems, reflections, stories, or just jotting down thoughts or memories.
Talking to someone who could possibly relate to. Talk about anything other than Michael if you can.


Basically speaking, there is no getting away from this. Embracing it may be difficult, but later worth it.
 
I tried walking around my neighborhood last night, but there is a carnival going on a few blocks away, that just reminded me of him even more. :(

Later on after dinner I put on a marathon of Roseanne and worked on a cross-stitch pattern that I've been doing for the past year, and it seemed to help, at least for the time being.

I've spent some of today trying to get back to my job search that I've been doing since I was laid off of my job last week, but it's sooo hard to concentrate. :cry:
 
I tried to play video games but it didn't help,went over my mom's house and she's playing MJ records on the turntables,We were singalong to the DSTYGE

I just went on a cleaning spree in my home...my intent was to wash the dishes yesterday after work but then I heard the news and I haven't touched the kitchen since.....once I started with the kitchen, I then started dusting, and then ended up in the dreaded bathroom....I swear I felt like mommy dearest the way I was scrubbing the floors...

But I do find that instead of watching the news and listening to the same tired pundits, I switched the tv to something else...like HGTV...or the food network...something to that nature.....to get my mind off of mj for at least 15 to 20 minutes....

Dance like Michael did (or at least try)....lol. I got up and spontaneously started dancing when I heard that Billie Jean drum beat and I felt better. Overall the day was still a shitty day but that was one moment I had fun and I was (and still am) proud to be an MJ fan forever!!!!!

me too i tryed to walk around the block to get out of the house...and i love roseanne too..but when i watched it ..i kept thinking, the last time i watched it michael was still alive. ANY footage of michael or non michael i think damn he was alive the last time i saw this :-( its hard to concentrate on goals too.
 
I'm gonna go out for a walk now... it's almost 2AM but I don't give a fakk.

I am on day2, had 6hrs comforting sleep (I would like to think that is good) but I am still not 100%
went to bed at 11 and woke up at 5am...
cant listen to any of his music -impossible- planning to go for a swim
I find that gathering info and reading a lot about what is being said helps me...we are different but it helps me to understand this is happening and the world goes on

but I stilll soooo desperately would like to get that ticket in the mail...pleaseee
