This is the 13th Michael Jackson Waxwork figure to go on display at Madame Tussauds. This is the latest one that was unveiled this morning in London and personally speaking it's the best I have ever seen. I am so relieved it has been replaced at the previous one was like 20 years old and didn't do him any justice at all!

This one is in the best location in the building and next to it they also have his hand print and a video display on loop of when he first visited the building upon the launch of his first waxwork there in the early 1980's. It's the 3rd ever waxwork of him in London.

Next to where he is situated there is a massive Television screen playing his music videos, but I am not sure if that is going to remain or if it was just for this morning’s launch.

Enjoy. :punk:

That's strange on the Madamme Taussauds website it says

"With 13 figures made for Madame Tussauds London, he is the most featured star ever, with only The Queen having been portrayed more often. "

var so = new SWFObject("/SiteFlash/scroller.swf?ptr=http%3a%2f%2fwww.madametussauds.com%2f&figureName=Michael+Jackson&xmlPath=_WebServices%2fGetGroupFigures.ashx%3fGroupId%3d14%26LanguageCode%3den", "mymovie", "630", "285", "9", ""); so.addParam("wmode","transparent"); so.write("relatedFiguresScroller");

Yeah, what they mean is that Madame Tussauds London have made 13 Michael Jackson waxworks that have been used in various locations around the world, however this is the 3rd one to go on display and be specifically used for the London museum.

A lot better than all the others.....still looks like an impersonator though!

Wow, thats a very good likeness as far as the figurines at Madame Tussaudes goes! Skin tone and everything.

It's weird, cause 'technically' it does look quite like him but it lacks that quality that makes Michael Michael, and so therefore, kinda doesn't look like him...

Well, I know what I'm talking about!

Thats beautiful
the closest likeness they have ever done
and very life like - but still didnt capture MJ's
true essence _ still its very nice

lol that was so cute! :wild:

It looks very good but I think it's probably impossible to recreate a 100 percent faithful representation of someone in wax. There's always something a little off.

Especially when they don't have access to the celebrity they're trying to recreate. Most celebs go for a sitting - to be measured and photographed etc. I think they said for this one they used photos from about 15 years ago.

Yeah, it doesn't look fantastically like him...but I must say Tussauds has improved a lot. ;)

That is miles better than the Bad era one, I love the pose they have him in.
