Oprah Remembers Michael Jackson

Im watching some clips from the Youtube links.. Still dont know what to think about Oprah, why cant she just bring up the highlights of Michaels life. When a person passes on people never talk about controversies and the speculations, why cant they leave it at that and just mention the good things Michael was and did.

Micheal wasn't perfect because he was under a microscpoe all the bloody time..How can you be allowed to be a human being when your every breath is recorded and talked about by the likes of Talk show hosts, tabloids and Diane D type people.
Michael was human People don't ever forget that..He is allowed to make mistakes..that is why we love him so. He did everything for us Fans, even when he was suffering from dancer's feet he came out and danced for us..he never showed us that he was in extreme pain.
What has Oprah done, but asked him embarrassing questions. He is our Icon and should be treated that way..
The way she speaks it is like she has a hidden agenda attached to her qusetions..

I agree 100%
and if he doesnt want to be truthful about his surgeries its his biz he doesn't have to tell us anything
we don't expect him to be perfect but ppl have to respect his privacy Oprah put him on the spot when she asked him about those things it was clear that he didn't want to talk about them thats why he told her to read his book
but anyway form MM's recap I think overall it was a good show

WTF Oprah saying its like looking through skin with someone with vitiligo? Transparent? Is that the best she could do, is she trying to make it sound positive...? Ridiculous. Im sorry, I still cant understand her. She should have remembered Michael Jackson years ago, she should have not said those nasty things she said about him. She should have at least apologized for the things she said. She acts like she's always liked Michael, that she never said or did any rude things to him.

I copped on to Oprah a long time ago. Nothing will stop me disliking the woman. She is phony.

Well, the thing about Oprah is that she caters to middle-aged white housewives in the Mid-West. And although Oprah herself might be sophisticated and quite high-cultural, her brand is based on satisfying these viewers and giving them what they want - with just a little twist.

Oprah unfortunately has to play the part of the ignorant outsider somewhat in order not to lose her audience on the way, so even if she wanted to say "I totally get where Michael was coming from, I can really relate, and no, he wasn't a freak or a child molester", she wouldn't want to risk anything with her viewership, who are quite conservative.

That being said, I have no particular interest in her opinion. I just want to see the Human Nature / TII clip.

So if i was going to watch Oprah i would be mad correct? lol no shocker there. Nothing dealing with Michael Jackson is ever positive. In life so in death. His treatment from so many people here has given him a bad name and that is something that's not going to change no matter what we say or do. After the show if you are not happy with the way she remembered him. Tell her so, write to her and let your feelings be heard. Don't hide them she is no one to be intimidated by. If there is something you want to say to her say it. What good is being a fan of Michael if you can't stick up for him where its needed?

I have a feeling im going to be yelling at my poor tv today.

I can't even look at videos or listen to anything new from MJ yet...everytime I see something I just start to cry, I don't think I'll ever get over it there's no cure for me...I miss him so bad

Can someone who has already seen Oprah tell us how long the Human Nature clip was?? How was the voice?? How did he sound??

Did she say where she at when she heard the news of MJ's death? And what was her reaction?

She said on ET or AH that she was on a cruise and that he bff Gayle had called her and said something happened to Michael. I don't remember exactly, but i think she said that it shocked her.

Just to confirm - the show has not been on yet it will start at 4pm in the us, thats 9pm british time!!!

same here...............too soon and too upsetting

This isn't making sense.... we have reports saying that it's aired, and other reports saying it hasn't...

I am one confused British fan...

Well, the show will be on here in the East Coast in 15 minutes. Perhaps people in the Midwest get the Oprah show at an earlier time?

I have the interview on tape from 1993 when it aird Feb 10, 1993. I like to keep it like that. I will not watch Oprah.

I just turned to the channel to watch it, and just as they were playing the introduction to the show and Oprah said "what I was thinking then and what I'm thinking now --" the cable totally just went out for no reason...

It's really weird, I feel like I wasn't supposed to watch it or something, haha...

I hope someone can make this available online later, because I do want to see it. :(

I'm at work but I did record it at 9am, I'll have to see what its all about when I get home from work
