If it goes to number one, then that means he'll have had number ones in 5 decades :)
 
It will never happen... imo, Michaels new song will not reach number one... in the US single chart..., there are not the possibilities..., only if Sony paid for it...
 
why do u say mike wont be number one with this single in the usa. i think that it will be an international number one - possibly the biggest selling single this year and if its really good maybe one of the best ever. mike only missed out on billboard hot 100 because of stupid rule we all know he was the biggest seller in those weeks. the figure will speak for themselves
 
I completely disagree. It'll go to number one, and I'll come back to this thread the day it does and quote myself.

I have NO doubt it will reach number 1.
 
We will see, it would be great for Michael to have no.1 hit again in the US with a new song, but I personally doubt about that....
If the song is going to be something like One More Chance (or maybe You Rock my World) - theres no chance ..., but... the digital selling/download may change something....
 
he is my #1 always!

I always used to think 'well if he is not #1 or would become less popular, I would have a better chance at meeting him!' but of course he would always continue scoring huge hits and #1's all over the world so I didnt have a chance. But now I really want this single to be #1 and I am supersure it will be, because everyone, even the hataz (to the left! LOL!) really love his music and are playing it on their ipods. So no doubt, they all want his single. Itll be #1 before it even comes out.

I actually think the song has potential to hit #1. With the new movie coming out and Michael most likely being #1 at the box office, there will huge publicity. Not to mention there is already big Jackson interest this year due to his death. Remember, this album has the potential to go #1 as well! The single will go #1 in many markets around the world and the US has a big chance to be one of these countries.

I can reveal that the estate and Sony have big plans for this single and the hopes are big. Insiders are VERY excited about this song and their goal is to take the song to #1 and give Michael another number one song around the world. That's why it has not been discussed in the media. The song is being protected and tweaked. But from what I have been told, this week Sony is putting together the track list for the CD and creating the graphics for the cover, booklet, etc. They are moving in super speed mode to get it all done and into production by first week of October. I have been told that the single will start to get airplay as early as mid-October. News about the CD soundtrack set list should come out NEXT WEEK! That's because this week everybody at Sony is working around the clock getting the details ironed out after the judge approved it last week. I will keep trying to get more guys.

-Insider has just revealed to me that the new song will be featured in the movie plus the CD! That's the big surprise at the end of the movie. Michael sings this live. Be prepared!

-Ok this is the biggest news: Title of the new song is: This Is It. It will be released as a single. Can't reveal anything more at this time.

-The This Is It soundtrack will be released on November 3rd or 10th. (A Tuesday). Sony believes it will be best to release the soundtrack right during/after the movie so fans will be eager to buy it after hearing Michael perform the song live. The philosophy is that this will make it sell more.

-This Is It soundtrack WILL be a live CD of Michael singing his songs live!
