Michael Jackson Death Investigation Complete
Posted Jan 8th 2010 12:30AM by TMZ Staff

The LAPD investigation into Michael Jackson's death has been completed and the case will go the D.A. within weeks, law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... and, we're told, it's all but certain Dr. Conrad Murray will be criminally charged in MJ's death.

Our sources say detectives completed their investigation late last month and the case will be formally presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney as soon as scheduling allows. Turns out ... the presentation will draw quite the crowd. A number of members of the LAPD and the D.A.'s office will be present, and finding a date when everyone can show is a little tricky ... but we're told it will happen in a matter of weeks.

One very informed source says the LAPD investigation was "exhaustive" and "extremely thorough" and the D.A. has enough evidence to pull the trigger on a criminal case against Dr. Murray. That said, we're told the case is complicated, in part because Dr. Murray did not break any laws in administering Propofol to Jackson.

One law enforcement source connected with the case notes the D.A. has been actively working with the LAPD and it's all but certain the case will be filed. As for the charge -- a decision has not been made, but our sources say the likelihood is involuntary manslaughter, which requires a showing of gross negligence.

So? You can give this kind of things to anyone, anywhere, even by doing that you can actually kill that person? Really? :ermm:

It's January. The LAPD said they would be back with MORE in January 2010.

Yes... I know... I feel sick now... I don't know how to handle this situation.
I have seen so many times people waiting for justice for the crimes of their beloved ones, many of them never getting any justice at all. I know MJ was not a relative of mine, I might be "just a fan", but I feel this so personal... and I am devasted, I just don't know how to handle this... We will really need to stand together during the hard times to come.

:(

I think we need to hang in there and wait to see what actually happens. Nothing is fact until it happens. We've waited so long now...we all want justice for MJ. And we're anxious to fill in the gaps and hear whatever evidence they have in the case (beyond what we know already). Hopefully justice will happen. But I'm not holding my breath on that at all.

Dr muarry not breaking any laws?? are they serious??

Umm i think giving a drug like propfol outside of a hospital should be law breaking in its self!!

It SHOULD be against the law, but it actually isn't. Propofol isn't a "controlled substance," probably because it's virtually unheard of to give it in somebody's HOME!

if they charge him with involuntary manslaughter then murray is not going to serve any day in jail .

I heard this phrase before , and Harvey claimed that it would go to the DA within a week, then within a month, then whithin months, now within weekS. ok

in part because Dr. Murray did not break any laws in administering Propofol to Jackson.

Murray had given Michael several strong sedatives prior to giving MJ propofol. That is negligence as he should have not given Michael so many sedatives due to OD.

Plus Murray gave MJ propofol outside of a hospital which is gross negligence NOT involuntary manslaughter. Thats BS!

Plus how is a cardiologist (heart specialist) not able to revive someone having a cardiac arrest?

True, but this is the first time they have said it's complete. And even the LAPD wanted Nevada to keep tge case closed until January 18th.

I'm waiting for January 18 , Harvey probably is reading this forum .

Exactly what I am afraid of.:(

If they just charge him with the manslaughter, what are anyone guesses to what he could plea down to?

Well hopefully there is Justice sense a lot of Celebrities didn’t have a chance.. Mike will be the first celebrity to get Justice against “them People I know they fed now haha”

Shamone! ...........Can't believed what I'm reading........Dr. Murray did not break any laws in administering Propofol to MJ? Really? Explain ................why MJ is dead?

Gee.....involuntary manslaughter only.....? And if proven he didn't make any gross negligence....Dr. Murray can walk away? ........Gotta be kidding!!!!!!!

WTF? Seriously? There's no law for this because most doctors are smart enough not to do it! Set a new precedent or something. Send this mofo to jail! :(

involuntary manslaughter...

sounds like a traffic ticket is a blacker mark, to me.

i don't know who might be bought. too much freedom is a two edged sword.

with the headline on the l.a. weekly cheering on the nearing of the legalization of pot....i don't know who is clear thinking here, or not.

i'm just frazzled, right now.

WTF??? This doctor is gettin off way too effin easy!! First, he gets to resume working ( i don't know why, I wouldn't even think of gettin near his clinic) then he gets a tv show (should be called, the doctor who killed Michael Jackson!!) then involuntary manslaughter?? Really? So much for justice. What in the world is going on within our justice system? They should have taken his medical license away from him first of all! If administering a cocktail of drugs within several hours is not gross negligence then I don't know what is. Administering Valium, Versed, Vicodin and Propofol, all because MJ couldn't sleep? I really can't believe this....I am in total shock. I don't know what else to say but my heart is bleeding for Michael. :(
