Michael Jackson Death Investigation Complete (TMZ - merged)

From what I read on the guidelines for involuntary manslaughter California divides into three categories depending on the severity of the case. Less severe I read gets 24 months, the next class gets 36, and the most severe gets 48. Then you have to take into account time reduced for good behaviour so theoretically Murray could only serve a year in jail. This is just from one website I've read though, it could be wrong.

if they charge him with involuntary manslaughter then murray is not going to serve any day in jail .

Oh god.

Murray is not going to jail. Brace yourselves

No No No Noooooooo :(

If Murray is convicted of involuntary manslaughter it is automatic jail time. How long it is depends on the judge. If he is guilty of this he will be going to jail. Whether they charge him with 'criminally negligent manslaughter' or 'unlawful act manslaughter' will be the key.

What is the difference?

I was in the chemist this afternoon and heard this over the radio. I just stood there not knowing what to think. I kept asking myself what is involuntary about what he has done.

We can read what´s written in TMZ but we don´t know if it´s true.
I´m not going to be mad over this, I wait and see what happens.

I remember that - in August or September I asked a question in the IU if we can trust the authorities even in securing the evidence etc. and you said NO we cannot.

Since then the scenario has been like this: there are serious mistakes in the way the evidence was handled (not really securing the house as the possible crime scene after 25.06), possible most important witnesses not contacted properly and immediately etc etc

Now (if what TMZ says is true) this is only the result of all of these mistakes and negligence (or are they deliberate?) - they don't have enough evidence and so Murray is saved.

Yes, I DID say that. And that is part of why the I.U. has been so important to me, and to many others. I KNEW Murray would get off. I was so ANGRY, at times, about all of those who said "trust," and "they will get it right." Given past history, we had NO way of knowing this.

The house was NOT secured as a crime scene, and that basically destroys the case, against anyone.

We are many, and we will not give up. I just hope the Jackson family ininiates a wrongful death suit. That would not be about the money, but to let the truth be heard in court.

I also said, from the beginning, that this will never go to trial. And it won't.

Hmm...?? It would be extremely disappointing (a gross understatement) if Murray got nothing but the proverbial slap on the wrist! :ranting I can just envision the rage that will resonate across the globe if (I'm not going to write 'when' yet) this happens. However, I take (slim) solace on one thing: this guy Murray will not have an easy life no matter what the official outcome of this investigation is. Too many people view him as a reckless doctor or worse. Fans will have the memory of an elephant and there's a new generation of fans growing up. Murray will have to live with his actions for the rest of his days and he will most likely require 24-hour security. Though most Michael's fans are peaceful, he'll always be looking over his shoulder, just in case... And this is a very plausible scenario if Murray avoids jail. It will be pretty much equal to being locked up. It will not be easy for him ever. So, in some way or another, Michael will get his justice. Only, I'd much prefer Murray to go to jail than my own alternative scenario. This 'accident' of his will never leave him alone. He'll forever be 'in the wrong place at the wrong time' like he claimed he was with Michael (which is an obvious lie). It isn't an enviable place to be where Murray is.

^^ I also feel that way Victoria, that this won't go to trial. Too many things went wrong with the investigation of this case. I am just hoping that justice will prevail.

It SHOULD be against the law, but it actually isn't. Propofol isn't a "controlled substance," probably because it's virtually unheard of to give it in somebody's HOME!

Im sure i heard or read somewhere that it was illegal 2 do that.

there's still hope. I refuse to believe Murray will walk away from this. I refuse to believe until I hear it from officials.
Same here! I can't agree with this article:(
This world is going crazy:no:

And to think..this man still has client's visiting him in his office!!!:puke: I know I've posted a couple of posts already..but I am just fuming. Wrong place and the wrong time..my ass!!! I just wish I could run up to that guy and shove him back and scream "What is wrong with you!?" Probably followed by be kicking his ass. :mat:

Let's remember how he went MIA after Michael was confirmed dead. Actions of a scared, negligent, guilty, foolish man! I'm going to start crying again if I don't calm down... all I can say is thank God I'm not in California. I would be going to jail for Michael...:mello:

Pathetic! Ugh. Is that the best we can hope for? :(

if they charge him with involuntary manslaughter then murray is not going to serve any day in jail .

That is QUITE right. From the beginning, I never thought he'd serve a SECOND of jail-time. For those who said "wait and see," I think you trusted too much, for too little reason.

Karma's a bitch, and it is very real. We all must face what we have done in life, and why. That is what I truly believe

Michael NEEDED us for justice. He still does.

I hope Murray doesn't get away with this, because I can see it happening! :(

yes the doctor didn't break any law administering propofol, but he broke a law killing Mike..

I bet if Michael would survive that night the cops and the media would tell us it's a crime to use propofol at home and they would find any reason to charge MICHAEL with it.
True. SO TRUE.

i can't expect a fair effort to do him justice from the same pp who tried to nail Michael for almost 20 years...
Yeah. They won't charge Murray, Murray is a hero to them.

Take it as a fact: doctors are the best killers.

Take it as a fact: doctors are the best killers.
it's scarry, isn't it? Whom to trust?
Michael could trust few people in his life, so many people betrayed him.
And then the doctor was NOT trustworthy and so Michael died.

My heart sank when I read the headline! But, TMZ....? They get shit first all the time... wuz up wit dat?! No matter how hard they try to be legit they will always be trash, regardless if they get it right sometimes!

So, we have to still wait weeks eh?

If Murray gets off he better go in to HIDING FOR LIFE!

REAL TALK!

I'll just wait until the LAPD and DA meet and make their decision. I won't rely on TMZ's "sources". Tabloids cry wolf too many times for me.

There is morality- i.e what doc Murray did and then where these actions fit into the breaking of any current law.
I do BELIEVE WE MUST NEVER GIVE UP! we must all pull together the fans, the family and make sure that dr. murray and whoever else may be responsiable is punished to the fullest extent of the law.
I know this might sound crazy- but has anyone thought of writing to Obama if it turns out we are not satsified with the way this case has been handled/prosecuted?
Having said that the fact that Dr. Death is going to be charged at all is something, not alot but something for us to work with in our fight for Michael.
THIS AIN'T OVER!!!

I hope to sove this very soon... It's very hard to see this... We all want justice to be made fast!

I agree with Victoria! We have to do everything we can! We are his family, we love him, we have never stopped supporting him. We are millions and we have to seek justice! Whatever we decide to do as a community I will participate. I can't take this madness. When the LAPD wanted to arrest Michael they did it within 24 hours and all the news reports broadcasted the "criminal" with the handcuffs! Now they treat him worse than garbage. NO I WON'T TOLERATE IT!
