Should be interesting... wonder if she will talk about Michael. I didn't deare to post in the MJ section because I don't know for sure that she will .. =)
 
I really can't wait to see her on Oprah soon..I know that the taping is today!
 
It will most likely be the ENTIRE cast of the movie, including Tyler Perry.

I'm sure big mouth Oprah will try and fit in some Michael related questions, unless Janet says, before hand, that she will not answer any questions regarding Michael.
 
I am sure the topic of Michael will come up but only briefly because not only did Janet lose her brother but Tyler Perry recently lost his mother so I am certain Oprah will mention that they are both dealing with traumatic losses. But I doubt it will be more than that since this will be about the movie and the entire cast, not just Janet.

Thank you! 'cause you know Oprah a'int gonna miss this opportunity to get a few MJ questions in and given her interview on ABC last year, I would hope she would remember that a criminal case has been filed so anything she says maybe used against her.

Uhuh, Oprah has made it very clear in the past that she does not entertain any guest telling her what she can or cannot ask in an interview.
 
If she is there with the entire cast and directer of the movie, Michael will probably be brought up briefly only. At least I hope so.
 
The whole cast wasn't there. Just Janet and Tyler. Janet has warned Oprah in the past about MJ related questions but I'm sure she will ask how Janet is doing after his death and etc. But don't expect a drawn out segment like on that Robin Roberts interview. She's there to promote the movie - WDIGM2
 
Well let's hope Janet doesn't speak about Michael at all, there is really no point she should promote whatever her work is and not mention him at all.

man i don't like this, because Oprah comes across as a control freak, and although it's obvious Michael shouldn't be the subject of the conversation, she is part of the media, and though people don't like to hear it, Janet Jackson could have three projects going, and Oprah will probably try and make Michael the main subject, considering the tons elephant in the room, that some may want to deny. so, unless Janet Jackson is one of three or more guests segments on the show..which would probably come across as somewhat of an insult....i would be curious as to how Oprah would handle a whole hour. i'd bet on it, with money.

That's true but I hear she'll be on with either the cast of WDIGM 2 or just her and Tyler Perry (The director). This is not an interview about her life.
 
Oh, FYI for those who are interested, apparently Janet will be appearing on Jay Leno on March 18th....

why Jay Leno......ugh!

nobody expects it to be the whole damn show. just most of it.

since it's a feeling of 'of course'.

a good part of the show will talk about the movie. but is forty five minutes of the show, about the movie? i want to see how Oprah handles it. since this is a board about honesty..

i want to see how real Oprah is. how real she is about one subject, as opposed to another. sure...she'll be excited about the movie. but how much?

for that matter, with all celebs. when they appear on shows, a small part is about the project..a big part is about gossip..and, these days..celebrities appear on shows to hawk a product.

how much of the interest of the host is about the project?

how much is the interest of the guest, about what the host wants to talk about, as opposed to the guest wanting to hawk a product. that's how it is, these days..

it's never about what it used to be about. there isn't much sincerity about the craft of the performer...as of this exact moment.
 
Gosh! We'll see then if they talk about Michael or not, is it really that big a deal, this is about Janet now anyway.

I hope we hear Nothing (the song) on the show, I want to hear it so bad!

time will tell. seems its easier to blame mj for everything that happened instead of family members (not necess janet) looking at themselves.
 
I totally had a whole new outlook on Janet since that ABC interview. How is it that she went for years making it clear that she does not want to speak about Michael but the minute he was no longer here, its now okay? and its what was said and how it was said that bugs me to this day. But she clearly made it known that she was not gonna speak about her and Jermaine's split in that very same interview, why not? has a problem with putting her business out there? But for sure, Murray's lawyers will be calling her up on that witness stand for sure.

Video premiere of 'Make Me' on 20/20, ABC interview and then AMA performance on ABC, obviously that deal was all wrapped up, so I suppose she would not have gotten all of that if she did'nt want to speak about MJ.

Like truiopian said, ones career has got to take precedent at times I suppose

Thing is even before Michael passed when Janet went on Oprah and other talk shows she was always asked about Michael. Interviewers have always wanted to know the latest Michael gossip and who better to ask than his sister.
 
Hopefully when MJ comes up she sticks to: "I love him and miss him terribly. No more comments".
