Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

well thanx you for posting .

Re: Michael Jackson - Jackson Won't Sing At Grammys

It seems like he has no actual plans to perform anything anywhere this time around.. :( That's kinda sad..

He will perform when he comes with his OWN NEW
Material not for some Re-release - He is waiting to
come back to the stage in in ALL his GLORY - :punk:

We should be patient - and allow him to do that

Re: Michael Jackson - Jackson Won't Sing At Grammys

This is so confusing. There are too many conflicting reports, some say he will perform, some say he will just attend and then others say he won't be there at all etc etc.

And how come Raymone hasn't released a statement or isn't talking at all?

AW: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

This ain't the end of the world. Still I think the Grammys would have been a great opportunity for him to get some music attention.

Prince opened with a medley in 2004, i think, and that was tight!

Don't start trippin on fans who are disappointed that he won't perform! Let them be. I don't think they feel betrayed or something, it is just a normal reaction.

Board behavior: I'm feeling hostility on this board increased over the last couple of weeks. Maybe it's just me, i don't know. Lets get more friendly! If people are down for whatever reason give them support.

I mean, Mike is a lover, why you wanna be a fighter?

Will he or wont he? who knows

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

it's ok people.. take a breath..

Mike will do it when the time is right.. He's the largest entertainer ever. he'll know exactly when to pull his moves out at the right time..

There is so much mental game to be played with the world when doing things that make an impact like this... This waiting is all a part of it.

Re: AW: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

T-25 is not a comeback Album
there is no need for MJ to appear to promote it
He will appear when he has his Own Material to promote

Attending the Grammy's is not going to be a boost to
his carreer if he has no NEW material - it will just be
more for the tabliods to attck him for .. fans just want
him there for selfish reasons - nothing to do with what
is best but just becuase they want to see him ...

Be patient and wait so you can see him in ALL his GLORY
when he does come back to the stage NOT to just promote
a RE-release ... of Thriller

T-25 is going to to go great - Its a re-release and is already
a hit before its RE_ release ..

Fans are selfish to bash Michael just becuase he doesn't
follow there every demand or whim ... Michael knows
how to promote himself - and when he comes back it will
be with a BANG - not to comeback exepting an award
but with NEW material ..

Cant believe the fans who BASH Michael in here
but then again I notice its the same ones in other
threads ..

Michael is NOT going to perform for a re-release
He will perform when he has his NEW material to
offer ..

Your lamo comment are just feeding the tabloids
to continue to bash him - for NO reason .. Some
SO CALLED fans are worse then the tabloids
are worse then the tabloids

You dont own Michael he is NOT your "private dancer"
n***er or slave ... to do your SELFISH bidding.

He will appear when he has something to offer.
I have faith in him and his abilities to do what is best ..
for his carreer and the music.

Exactly Bee.

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

Will be great all round if he does show up. To say a few words or just to show his face to show people he is still around. Will be a missed chance at some great exposure if he doesnt show up. Also its pretty lazy of him to send a video message in if hes in the same country, he isnt performing or anything anywhere else in the world!

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

ya'll are straight trippin for NO reason. be happy he's doing ANYTHING for the dumb grammy awards.

Yeah, but it would be fun seeing a closed men's room door at Taco Bell and only hearing his voice... "Hi, this is Michael Jackson... I'm so sorry, I can't be with you tonight. But I'm busy right now. (Pause)"

Just a new "video message" approach...

Sorry if this has already been said, don't have the time to check the previous posts right now, but on MTV News today it was stated that he will not perform, just appear onstage.

Re: Michael Jackson - Jackson Won't Sing At Grammys

no he doesnt need to give NOTHING TO HIS FANS. what he needs to do is resting, having fun and enjoying his life with his kids. period.

Yeah, I agree to some point...but Michael is the one who's the workaholic!

Its his job to give to his fans! He doesnt get the most loyal support for doing nothing. If he needs to just rest and have fun etc etc he will announce retirement! Hes an entertainer, its his job!

See, this is true also...he's the one who stated recently that he still wants to make music...

And he always says that he appreciates the fans, and I mean, as an artist, you kind of...have to. Just because, if there are no fans, then there really is no point to your career. I mean they are the ones who are buying your albums, buying tickets for your concerts, buying your merchandise, buying your movies, and your books, etc...

But I don't care if he shows up at the grammys or not, I'm just really anticipating new music from him, because it's always amazing!

So much for the concept of unconditional love.

I guess the 44 years he's already given isn't enough, right?

Aww, don't be so dramatic! lol

The guy is simply stating that it's Michael's job. And Michael is the one who has stated his interest in music and that he wants to continue...if he wants to retire he'll announce it. I'm not trying to demand anything from Michael, and I don't think the person who posted that response is either...we're just excited about new stuff from Mike and there is nothing wrong with that.

HE WILL PERFORM for the new album, I have no doubt about that! Michael knows the best thing to do, so we all should stop acting like we know what he should/should not do!

Exactly...whatever we're thinking, Michael's been thinking two steps ahead of us lol. He's only been doing this for 40-something years!

Re: Grammys: MJ Sending Acceptance Video

I'm sorry, but this just doesn't make sense to me at all. What on earth is he doing?

Imagine him organising a MASSIVE performance at the end of the night! it would boost sales like absolute crazy! Is he just really unconfident with himself or what's the go? I'm at a loss as to wtf he's doing atm.

After hearing this he's gonna have to pull something incredible out in the near future otherwise there is clearly no 'comeback' of sorts happening here.

Why the heck would you "comeback" with a 20-something year old album?

Come on, THINK about this! Like people have already stated elsewhere in this thread, I believe that he is "testing the waters" with this album. I don't think that it would be wise to over-hype this at all, considering he plans to come out with new stuff...why would you over-hype something from the past when you're going to release something new? It makes no sense.

Again, like I said, he's been doing this for a long time...he might know what he's doing.

thats bull. we already know that he wont be appearing at all physically. he will just appear via a video message

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

Go Mike, go on with your bad self :p

Re: Grammys: MJ Sending Acceptance Video

Bad wasn't snubbed. 1987 was a great year for music. So many great albums came out so the 1988 Grammy awards were big. Like it or not there are other artists besides Michael who make great music.

Oh please, Michael OWNED the 80's, and everyone knows it.

Thats annoyed me...Michael seems to be getting rather Lazy and is missing out on GOLDEN oportunities with the grammys...hes not gonna have mass exposure and michael mania (due to tributes) at an awards show again....i think hes a bit of a fool for not going.....i hope he is doing it for a VERY good reason

1. You don't even know if he is going or not because you have not SEEN THE GRAMMYS!!

2. Michael is not a fool.

3. He's been doing this, probably for longer than you've even been alive.

i wouldnt call him a workaholic. maybe he used to be but i dont think he is anymore.
he still loves to create music of course and he spends lots of his time doing so but i dont think he works his butt off anymore and thats good for him imo. he's already given to this world more than enough and i think he has realized that and slowed down a bit since the late '90s.
thats a good thing. he needs to enjoy his life more, do other kinds of exciting fun things and spend more time with his children now that they're still small because kids grow up so fast lol

That would be really awesome...like he did at the French awards...I think that would be best.

I agree with most of what you said...but he's still got to 'pay the bills'...if you know what I mean...

they may be dumb, but 20 million people will be locked on to watch it.. and we really don't know just what he's intending to do for this ceremony!

a few months back on MJNO we were dreaming of a 50th Grammy performance or debut of some new (as in really new) material to coincide with his career peak anniversary.

but now with the T25 thing, i don't know.. if Mike wants to put out a new album in the near future, i think both scenarios of him either promoting it or not will have benefits i.e. he could be doing the right thing to stay low on this reminiscing project (like many have already said, to not "overhype") but on the other hand, if the remixes show to be successful with the current pop-listening base then what better way and timing to promote this than the Grammys and set up friendly ground for new material.

but once again, and i don't know why people are ignoring this calling throughout the thread: we haven't got any sort of confirmations of what he's planning to do for the Grammys, if anything at all.

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

I just noticed that "Bad" was nominated for Album of the Year in 1988 but another album won it that year. I almost forgot about that. He and Whitney were up for it.

And that's why news like this are questionable. People shouldn't believe everything just because some insider said it or some news tidbit says that someone "close" to Michael said this or that. It just leaves the hope-he-will-show-up people even more out of sync because they eat it up, then when it turns out not to be true, they throw up, lol.

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

lol yeah but frankly i dont think he'd need to work in order to do that. hes already got hundreds of millions and getting hundreds of millions every month from the atv catalogue etc etc

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

Well that was said by someone who heard it from someone else -_-
They said he'll make an acceptance video...for what? He's not getting any award.
So I really doubt that's true.

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

You're welcome Timmy, i watched that whole show and i will never forget the pained looked on Michael's face when they won, he did his best that night to contain his hurt but it was written all over his face:(

I rather not see the reaction, I know he was upset about that.

"They still don't respect me", lol.

Re: Grammys: MJ Sending Acceptance Video

Aw.... Why is MJ not performing at the Grammy's? Or at anything around this time- to promote Thriller 25? He is missing out on a big opportunity

I'm soooo disappointed. C'mon Michael....
You know, I can really understand why MJ may not want to perform to promote T-25.

It's kinda going backwards. I remember that once during that '91 interview with Oprah, she asked him where was all of his awards. He said, as I recall, that they were in other places. Winfrey said that she had expected to see a trophy room or something and MJ replied that the awards remind him of the past and that he wanted to look to the future and not just sit on his acheivements. [paraphrasing]

I think that MJ wants to look to the future. Performing, while greatly satisfying to a lot of us, would also say that this is it. That this is the best that he can do and that his career is not worth following from here on out.

If MJ wants to be relevant to today, then he has to do music in the today.

That means we have to wait a little longer...^_^

Re: MJ @ Grammys: Will He or Won't He? ~~~All Topics Merged~~

Excuse me, but Damn y'all quit B****ing! The fact is we don't know what's going to happen and I think Michael wants it this way!! So stop jumping at the slightest little news bite! The fact of the matter is the only person that knows what is going to happen is Michael himself! And who do any of us think we are to call this man LAZY, because of a damn award show!!? Give me/him a break!! This man is IMO the hardest working man in show business, even if we might not see it right away! He Never stops working!! He's in the studio constantly working on the NEW album, and that's what he's saving his energy for! The man will perform when he has some new material ready! T25 is a bonus for us & if he does anything to promote this we should be greatful, because afterall this album is 25 years old, so quit complaining & criticizing!! I betca if any of us had gone through the kind of pain & heartache he has in recent years, we would've thrown in the towel, but he hasn't & that speaks volumes! He still has so much he wants to give & he's moving forward, even if some don't see it right away! He's a perfectionist, he won't put out anything or perform until he is satisfied! We should know this by now! Every album he's released since 1979 has taken him longer to release because of this reason, he doesn't perform unless he's rehearsed & rehearsed & rehearsed until it's as close to perfection as possible, he's always been this way & when it's time we're never disappointed! So just watch the show, record it & keep what I said in mind!!

Love You Always Michael! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us baby!! :D :flowers:
