Janet better singer, dancer or actress ??

I'd go with singing because it's her music and voice that made me fall for her. :wub:
 
Janet is actually the best at dancing and acting. Her singing voice is okay, but not the strongest. Right now I think Janet would be best to gear herself toward more acting projects. With her current state of mind since Michael's death, she has not been able to fully focus on music and dancing. That was apparent during her last performance at the Grammy's. She has always said that acting was her first love. She's been on four TV shows, one short lived. But was forced to become a singer because of her father, Joseph. At this point and time in her life, I would say she should follow her heart. Acting or at least settling down and becoming a mother.
 
^ I'd disagree with the okay voice her voice is a lot better than most of the crap we hear today and I watched a video on youtube some time ago were they slowed down Janets voice and acctually fooled people into believing it was Michael singing. Also the Grammy performance you talk about, do you mean the 2009 Grammy's ? if so Janet didn't perform on it, since MJ's death she has opened two award shows (MTV VMA's and AMA's) both of which were great
 
One thing really impressive about her voice is that it's known to be girly and soft but there are songs where she goes sooo goddamn deep! I went to classical singing lessons at 8 and have been singing ever since, and I can't get close to some of her notes. Like Mariah can hit the high notes, Janet can hit the low ones brilliantly! lol

I find the tone of her voice interesting and overall I think she's got a pretty voice and she has that same thing Michael had where she can really convey anger, sadness ect. Other singers no matter how strong their voices are, lack this ability.

I agree..Michael and Janet are the most versatile when it comes to singing..they can sing any type of song..R&B, Pop, Rock..etc..and they know how to convey emotions in their songs better than a lot of artists..I think Versatility is better than everything else..
 
She is good at all 3 but if I had to pick one I would say singer. Her vocals are not powerful but they have a beautiful tone to them and she can convey emotion well. She is also very versatile. And lets not forget her songwriting abilities. It is her music that made me a fan to begin with.

Her dancing is very good and she has helped choreograph some good routines, but its nothing mind blowing like Michaels work. She has been influencial though (seeing as alot of female pop/rnb singers these days take from her classic dance style)

Her acting is pretty good but she's better at singing and dancing.

I know right, hers and Michaels voice are amazing together !!! I think besides Michaels other part its the only good part.
 
I'm listening to Janet's Best album and I'm so nostalgic. I hope she comes back with some good stuff soon. :(
 
Ok, I've been watching JJ music videos recently and she is a kick ass dancer!
 
I'd say singing. I do love her dancing, and she's definitely very talented. I also liked her acting in Nutty Prof., Poetic, and WDIGM. But singing is the best for me. She actually has a very beautiful voice. Listen to her sing the song Again. She sings parts of it softly, but beautifully, and she sings with so much emotion, esp. toward the end when she sings, "Don't you stand there and then tell me you love me then leave again," and her voice goes to a really high pitch. It's perfect. No, she doesn't have what you'd call a powerhouse voice, but I don't think that makes someone good.
 
^^ I'm a big fan of Jan and I'm sick of people saying she can't sing just because she isn't a "power house" IMO she has one of the most beautiful voices in the business. Just like her brother !!
 
For me she's great in everything / I love her voice, dance and acting ;)
She;s amazing.
She have much of talent ;)
 
I don't know really. I like several songs of hers but I never thought she was amazing or anything. I can say the same about her acting and her dancing personally. If I had to pick one I would probably go with dancing. There are a lot of people that can sing...not to many that can sing and dance which is what she brings to the table. I will say that she is probably the best female talent out there right now that can both dance and sing. I can't recall the last time I saw a female artist be able to do both.

She is also a good actor. They still show Good Times on Tv and about a year or two ago I finally saw her episodes where she came in as Penny and she was great. People always remember the first couple but she was just as entertaining in later episodes. I enjoyed her in Nutty Professor 2 and I know I've seen Poetic Justice a few times but it has been a long time so I really do not remember much about it.
 
Janet is AWESOME at what she does.. But I like her better as a singer, as music is the love of my life.. She also says herself that singing comes easier to her than acting, but acting was her first love.. Again; she is awesome, but i love her singing!
