There's nothing that special in Akon's singing. He just sings completely without vibrato. Everyone can do that. Beautiful vibrato is harder. Michael has it.

OMG OMG!!!!!!! OMG!!! I LOOOOOVEEEEEE ITTTTT!!!!! And not just coz its MJ

The lyrics are great! The melody is great! The vocals are great! The beat is great! And most of all the GROOVE is Great!! :D

Akon at times sound a bit like MJ coz he sings really high pitch too, Guys just to get it cleared, is MJ only singing the first verse, and the background "Hold my Hand" ?

Damn! Something told me to come on this site this morning to see what was going on. I had a feeling that major news was happening. I decided not to log on to the website this morning just to take a break. Man, do I ever regret that!! Dang!!

Thank you so much everyone for the tidbits, the youtube stats, the lyrics the awesome comments, etc.

THE KING IS BACK, BABY!! Now, I did not listen to the song yet because I lack speakers on this computer. However, my brother is downloading the song for me so I can hear it. I will NOT GO TO SLEEP UNTIL I HEAR THE SONG!! I DO NOT CARE!! LOL!

I am just happy that MJ is back and I cannot wait for the song to be played (hopefully) on the radio tommorrow or soon. This is the type of song that needs to be played on the radio. It is time to uplift people, help people and give people HOPE. There is a economy crisis in the States, the the foreclousure horror, the unless hating and negativity and this song just needs to be played on the radio, itunes, the store, the hair salon/barber shop, the mall, the streets, the boondocks, in your grandparents house, the nursng home the day care, on vacation, etc. Just everywhere. The meaning of the song is awesome and THANK YOU TO MJ AND AKON for this!

The late great James Brown told Mickey to come back to the USA and teach the youngins' to make songs that UPLIFT THE PEOPLE!! Michael and Akon are doing that. I am not an Akon supporter, but I am loving this dude a lot right now for this.

Let me say this: this is what we fans have been praying and hoping for. We knew that Mike was going to come back but how was the question. MJ and Akon knows what is going on with the people of today and made a song about telling the people to hold on. Haters need to stop the hating and start the loving. Seriously. There is too much hate as it is. I hope that this song become number one and becomes the summer jam of the year. I would not be shocked if MJ and Akon perform this song on the MTV VMA or the Ollympics! :)

I gotta go look back at the demo to see what ya'll are talkin about as far as MJ imitating Akon's voice. I believe it though, cuz he can blend in with literally ANYONE. lol Can someone post the original demo from Utube?

Yes, Michael strikingly and almost in a bizaar way emulated Akons voice in the first verse, so that you could almost belive Akon was singing, if his voice was that good. I was shocked when I first heard it, but then I remember that MJ can mimick anyone. He is brilliant at it. Akon must have been scared when he heard it.

Yess!!! The definitely sounds like a good olympic song! But they are too soon, so I doubt that would happen...
