Did anyone just see that guy on American Idol sing Billie Jean (as a rock song)??

Wendy2004 - I was on the computer working and not really watching tv but this guy started singing MJ's Billie Jean in a rock style and it was WOW! Best Billie Jean cover I've ever seen/heard. Anyone else see this? I was sat at the computer frozen that's how good it was. And the whole panel loved it! Youtube anyone? Defo worth watching....not to mention an MJ song was on tv tonight so woohooo! Go Michael! :girl_happy:

Finally they do n Mj song....thought it was another version....I thought it was awesome:D though ofcourse nothing tops the original version.......

But this guy made it his own...and his performance was amazing:D
 
I was looking for the American Idol thread....looks like it disappeared.

I thought I heard Ryan Seacrest say Billie Jean, but when I heard the opening strains, i thought...no, I must have heard wrong.

but i have to say that was the MOST AMAZING version of Billie Jean I have ever heard. So different. Thriller25 worthy I would say. Definitely worth a download.

He said when you're taking risks and doing something really different like that, it's either going to be insane or amazing, and he said it was amazing. :D

I went to the AI column that is on my local paper's website and some smart ass wrote great job with a pedophile's song, rather than engaging scumtrash like that, i posted "I hope with the performance of ‘Billie Jean’ that it continues the rise in sales of ‘Thriller 25’ " at the moment the scumtrash are taken aback but it amazes me how immature people can be even with a great night of performances.

I think both Chris Cornell and David Cook do excellent singing
on the rock-style version of Billie Jean.
I think Michael Jackson would approve.

That was HOT! Loved it! I'd buy it in a SECOND.

Digression: Syesha didn't impress me. Hard to tackle Gladys...and she was no were neaaaarrr close lol And she doesn't have stage presence to me lol

I loved it. I can't help feeling that this Billie Jean is going to have a new life of hi't own. I think BJ is going rock. The tune is exactly the same, it is just slowed down and played with giutar , that is all..
 
I haven't watched any of this season except one audtion. I tuned in just on time to see this rendition of "Billie Jean". It was alright, nothing special. But like I said, he was smart not to try and sound like Michael. That would have been a train wreck. But did ya'll see that girl who sang "Alone"? I only saw a few seconds of it, but boy did she screw that song up. Anne Wilson she's not. None of the contestents look particularly good to me. But I only saw a few seconds of each.

Better than Chris Connel's version. Cook's nailed it. Michael is so nodding with approval.

This's what AI kept me on my toes - to see MJ songs covered well.
American Dance crew has T 25 theme, yet to see it on AI.
