well i love mike and im not gonna let a lame shitty thing like a concert change to make me not be a fan...after all, in this man's whole career, this is the most tamest "debacle" that's happened...so if the fairweather's wanna go, lemme open the door for u, i'd be glad.

yes it sucks but we knew this could potentially happen. ithought it'd be for illness or exhaustion since the shows are close together. at least we know this soon and not like july 1st.

u can still change ur plane tickets. most airlines allow u to do that, u just pay a fee. im paying $350 to change THREE tickets plus re-book my auto reservations..luckily im stay ing w/ family up there or i'd have to change my flat resv. too....

but this doesn't upset me. it happened before w/ janet...and it's happened to me before at baseball games...gets rained out, there for a day, won't play till tmrw or the next day, so much for having fun at fenway, we had to fly back...and that's from boston to az...did i blame varitek? no...it happens.

nothing is for sure.

and fans know this. hell, ir emember fans bitch ing that jan cancelled concerts for the afy tour...um a 'lil' thing...remember 9/11 that made her go on hiatus for a week, omg they were so horrible. it's something that happens..

this is a production issue. he wants a michael jackson show and that takes more time than they thought. if u want something simple, i hear the black eyed peas are going on tour....try them...if u want razzle dazzle...then well, mj is the best and the biggest.

but nothing is for sure. EVER. michael jackson or not this happens on every tour. maybe not set issues but illness and the best excuse in the book....'exhaustion'

Hey...a friend who bought tickets for Jul 12 at viagogo just got her tickets replaced by viagogo! Now she has A1 ticket for Jul 26! So lucky!

I was soo annoyed at MJ lol that on the way home i listened to PRINCE

haha take that MJ and AEG

we have booked with Ryanair. Does anyone know if they'll allow us to change our flight reservation and what the fee might be?

C THEY AIN'T ALL BAD! lOL they know they'd be stupid to have a fan spend hella money on an overpriced ticket and then have to wait eight months to see a show.

love the only wy to know is to call and ask. if u purchased online, it may say in the receipt what their policies are. or u can call.

ok, better brace myself...........

Im actually happy that the opening night has been moved to 13 July. Right from the start I was worried about the lack of rehearsal time in The O2. One day is not enough for all the prepartaion and setting up that needs to be done.

Yes I know a repelica stage has been built in Californai, where rehearsals are taking place but thats not enough. You can rehearse as much as you like in a replica but until you get to the actual performance venue, you wont be able to fully put the show together.

AEG would have known about the other bookings like Madonna at The O2 but probally nievely thought it would be ok. At the start, when there were only 10 concerts, it might have been ok, but as as work progressed and Michael and Kenny started putting ideas together, the logestics of the show become more complicated. Add in to the mix the outside contracters of things like the "toasterlift" , stunts and possible aerial work, pyrotechnics, lighting etc then it becomes impossible to open the show with 1 days rehearsal in the performance venue.

Also there are things like health and safety and fire inspections. With a show like this, everything could be perfect but unless the fire safety officer signs the cert, the show wont open.

I would perfer that the show opening night be rescheduled like it is, then have the show open on 8 July and then a week later shows are cancelled due to technical dificulties. How many people remember the fiacso that was the first night of MSG, which felt more like a rehearsal than a proper concert???

The only part of this that is Michaels fault, is the fact that he has a vision for this show that AEG are not able to cope with. Yet again the world of Michael Jackson has been underestimated by those who nievely think he is just another performer. They have no clue that whatever Michael does, the rest of the world follows, everything about him is unexpected and record breaking and AEG are just beguinning to realise this.

If anyone is to blame, its AEG, who messed up in the original planning and only gave Michael 1 day of rehearsal in THE O2. They should have originally put the opening night as 13 July in the first place, instead of 8 July!!

totally spot on!

what may have worked for a few dates isn't feasible for 50.

I wonder if they had just canceled the first few shows what it would have been like here? I hate to think about it. But, i think people would have been like, "OMG they canceled them all together? I would have just felt better if they just rebooked them. We would have been a little upset but its better than canceling".

Don't people realize that for a lot of us, the shows basically are cancelled now?

I'm glad that some fans can still go, despite this major inconvenience. That's wonderful. Michael's "people" did an excellent job of making it seem like, whether it's true or not, that if you don't see him in London during these dates, you'll never seem him perform live again. I'm sure that put some pressure on people to do what they had to do to go to these shows. But that's a sacrifice and risk that I'm sure many people are only willing to make once.

Many of us won't be going to it. It's upsetting but there's already been reason to believe Michael will be doing other countries as well so maybe once they get themselves straight we'll have something more to keep the hope alive

We did it last night. We paid 400 danish kroner per person to change the tickets. No idea why it wasn't 25 euros or pounds, but it was 1200 dkr for 3 people... Plus we ended up paying an extra 300 dkr per person cause the new tickets were more expensive.

You can do it right on the website :)

Hi all! I feel very bad for those affected by this. Is there any way that you can change just the return flight back home? This is just for the July dates...I mean, your ticket will be good for the rescheduled show...and you just need to stay a few extra nights...the only problem I see is the round trip air ticket. Can't you just explain this to the airlines? I mean, my God. Once you book a flight, you have to stick by that schedule? For crying out loud.

What about those who are out altogether? July to March of 2010? Isn't there a way to back out of any flights due to that without being charged a cancellation fee? As I see it, you can cancel your flight - it's just that you get charged a cancellation fee...which is really wrong because the only reason why you would be traveling to London that time anyway was because of Michael Jackson. Surely, Michael Jackson and company could deal with the airlines to get fans money back. This is really bad. A travesty!!!

This was just on BBC LONDON TONIGHT. Im trying to type as Im watching it

reporter in Greenwich, saying fans totally outraged, shows scenes of the fans which queued at The O2, reading out emails from fans who contacted the BBC who are not happy, interviewing Donna Abbas, says Michael is letting her down. Reporter finishes saying many are now wondering whether he can do 50 shows.

Gotta admit, I'm totally bricking myself at being one of the last 3 shows. I have the strongest feeling that 'something' will happen mid tour and it will all come to a halt!

There are only 3 solutions that I can think of that might pan out better for the 10th, 12th, and 14th date being pushed SOOOO far back.

1) Move the 3 dates or all four dates (one big opening night) to a BIGGer VENUE and cram 60,000+ ppl in for opening...ie wembley. (Highly unlikey but possible)

2) Cancel maddona show and whoever else if need be! lol (again...Highly unlikey)

or 3) Find some open dates in july to reschedule them, by cancelling say.. neyo's shows, which is very possible.

I mean it's better to cancel maddonna or whoever elses show then to jack up 3 whole "This IS IT" shows. But that's just my view. I honestly don't see how they are ok with pushing those dates back so far to march 2010. That's completely WRONG IMO on AEG's part when THEY knew the schedule for the 02 way before michael even sign any contracts! I'm really annoyed at how AEG let the fact that they got michael to do the shows, screw up their thinking factor and not take the time to plan things correctly instead of rush rush rushing everything. This is JACKED UP anyway you look at it. There has GOT to be another way.

lol. I am not laughing at the misfortune of others, no. I am laughing at the dramatics of the British media (no body beats them, right?) And some 'fans' are cracking me up.

Be angry, yes, but be stupid???? No rhyme or reason for stupidity.

Do some of them read the news on a regular basis to see concerts being postponed, or cancelled on a regular basis (did I say this twice?lol)?

The concerts will happen and they won't be any more or less dramatic than what is normal for Mr. MJ.

Yes there has to be another way. We can't use this thread to start bickering and arguing and complaining. We need to start using this thread for creative solutions. We have a problem - we need to solve it. And solving it will not happen by bickering and complaining.

Let's start brainstorming on solutions...solutions that will end up offering the best alternative for fans. Come on, we're a community here!! We are a fantastic community of fans - let's start showing the world just how great we really are here!

I've calmed down today and take back what I posted late last night. It has worked out ok for me now, I have managed to get a refund for one of my effected tickets, and now just have to try my hardest to rearrange my holiday with work. I think I'll be able to sort it.
I just feel sometimes with Michael that I try so hard to defend him to people who say things about cock ups like this and then when it goes and happens you kind of feel you're fighting a corner all on your own. Makes you feel a bit of a twat when people come back at you with I told you so. But whatever...there's not much we can do about it except support each other and hope arrangements are made for people who have really been left in the shit.
Michael means far too much to me for this to turn me against him or anything. We all know he cares about his fans, this must have seriously been a last resort for him, or for all we know it could not even have anything to do with him I guess. :(
