That he will attend the show, maybe be in the audience (most likely from the front row), and maybe they'll mention him in some sort of way. He IS the biggest selling artist of all time, and he has won maaany grammy's, so it wouldn't be a shock to me if they did something special just for him. I really hope they do, cause he deserves it more than anyone.

Talking about CREDIBILITY. Contactmusic.com says it is quoting this story from the New York Post. Funny thing is, this story comes from the GOSSIP COLUMN RUSH & MOLLOY, from today's New York Daily News. I mean, contactmusic.com can't even get that bit of information correctly. Dang shame!

Since they want Jackson to perform and he is refusing, I just hope they don't plan on making Jackson look ridiculous the way MTV did with the birthday cake incident. I don't trust these organizers.

We all need to stop freaking out & see what happens! He could stand on stage motionless & I'd be THRILLED, just wait & see jeez! We don't need anything official, just watch the show & see what happens! And Record it! :lol:

Great News, if its true!! Cant understand why there are STILL some people that are complaining. :-(

Isnt it better if he just appear without a performance,than have a bad performance cause he had not enough time for rehearsals - that would be the best oppertunity for all the media-crap-heads to say that he lost all of his talent, is unable to sing an dance...blah blah..

Just be grateful that he will appear,thats better than nothing!!

There is no evidence that he will be there though, These people are just feeding off gossip and rumours just like we are, Some of you fans could be in for a big disappiontment.:)

Of course theres a reason. PUBLICITY. And they're gonna do a tribute to him. Every time the grammy's do a tribute to someone the artist is usually there. lol

Even if not..hell cant he sit in the audience and watch like the rest of them? LOL

so I hope there will be no whining and complaining after the Grammy's as to why MJ didn't perform... or chastising of Team MJ...

its very clear.. days before the Grammy's that MJ IS NOT PERFORMING

Guys, wait a minute and hold your horses -

Contacmusic.com is an uncredible site. They get their information from tabliods and gossip columns. There is no actual proof that MJ will actually be in the Grammys. It is a possibility, but no proof. If I were you guys, I would not get my hopes up. Remember, MJ is all about surprises. So, let's see what happens.

Because of the source of this story, I am not going to believe that MJ is coming until I see it with my own two eyes.

The problem is, most people assume things without any actual proof or confirmation. I didn't expect Michael to perform. The man is probably extremely intent on stepping back on stage in top form. It's no joke that he's a perfectionist, and I doubt he wants to be forced in to a situation where he has to do a medley on stage with a bunch of other people, in which he really wouldn't have full creative control. And frankly, I said this before, but Michael doing his FIRST performance since the trial at the Grammy's for an album which came out 25 years ago, would be a wast. He should come back with something new and something he has total control over and is comfortable with.

I'm just happy if he shows up at all. Seeing Michael is going to make all of you smile from ear to ear, admit it, lol. We haven't seen him on an American awards show in several years.
